다양한 지형에서의 적응적인 걷기 동작 생성 (Generation of Adaptive Walking Motion for Uneven Terrain)

  • 대부분의 3차원 캐릭터 애니메이션에서는 모션 캡쳐 장비를 통해서 포착된 동작 데이타를 이용하여 다양한 지형상에서 캐릭터가 걷는 동작을 표현한다. 이러한 동작 포착 데이타는 실제 사람과 같이 움직이는 동작들을 자연스럽게 표현할 수 있으나, 만약 다양한 지형에 대한 움직이는 동작이 표현할 경우, 지형의 유형에 따라 모든 동작을 캡쳐하여야 하고, 얻어진 동작 데이타를 다른 유형의 캐릭터에 적용할 경우 동작 데이타를 다시 얻거나 기존 동작 데이타를 재편집해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 적은 매개변수들을 사용하여 평지면, 경사면, 계단면 그리고 굴곡면 등 다양한 지형에서의 적응적인 걷는 동작을 생성하기 위한 방법과 골반과 이동하는 다리의 움직임 제적을 산출하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법에서는 캐릭터의 신장이나 걷는 속도, 걸음폭 등의 매개변수들을 조절하여 다양한 걸음걸이를 생성할 수 있으며 역운동학(Inverse Kinematics) 개념을 적용하여 관절들의 위치나 각도를 산출하고 관절의 이동 궤적을 계산하기 위해 큐빅 스플라인 곡선을 활용한다.

Low Frequency Roll Motion of a Semi-Submersible Moored in Irregular Waves

  • A semi-submersible drilling rig is regarded as one of the typical offshore structures operated in the field with moderate environments such as the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and West Africa. Its typical roll and pitch natural periods are around 30 seconds, which avoids prevailing regions of the wave energy spectrum, and their responses in waves are quite acceptable for common operation conditions. But large roll and pitch motions can be induced by wave difference frequency energy spectrum if the metacentric heights of a semi-submersible decrease to small values in some loading conditions, and it is because the roll and pitch natural periods increase and approach to the region where the spectral density of the low frequency wave drift moment has significant value. This paper describes the low frequency roll motion of a semi-submersible that are excited by the wave 2nd order difference frequency energy by a series of model experiments. From the model tests with several different initial metacentric heights (GM), it was observed that a semi-submersible can experience large roll motion due to the wave group spectrum.

Heave Compensator를 고려한 파랑 중 해상 크레인 설치작업 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Offshore Installation Using a Floating Crane with Heave Compensator in Waves)

  • In this study, a numerical analysis of offshore installation using a floating crane with heave compensator is carried out in time domain. The motion analysis of crane vessels is based on floating body dynamics using convolution integral and the crane wire is treated as simple spring. The lifted structure is assumed as a rigid body with 3 degree-of-freedom translational motion. The heave compensator is numerically modelled by the generalized spring-damper system. Firstly, forced motion simulations of crane wire system are carried out to figure out the basic principle of heave compensator. The transfer function of crane wire system is obtained and effective wave period of heave compensator are found. Then, coupled analysis of crane vessel, crane wire, and lifted structure are performed in regular and irregular sea conditions. Two different crane vessels and two lifted structures (suction pile and manifold) are considered in this study. Through a series of numerical calculations, the effective zone of heave compensator is investigated with respect to wave period and crane wire length.

  • 이 논문은 꽃잎들, 나비나 민들레 씨앗들과 같은 생물체 시스템의 불규칙한 운동을 파티클 필터링 이론에 근거하여 예측하고 추적하는 유용한 방법을 제안한다. 생물체 모사 시스템 설계에 있어서, 생체 시스템의 운동에 대한 관측과 생체 시스템 운동학에 대한 새로운 설계원리가 어떻게 자연스럽게 운동하는가에 대한 인상을 얻는데 중요하다. 공기 중에서 비행하는 꽃잎에 대한 시스템 모델링이 베이지안 확률 규칙을 사용하여 수행되었다. 실험결과는 제안된 방법이 공기의 난류로부터 유도된 랜덤한 외란이 있는 경우에도 잘 예측함을 보여준다.

심한 정도에 따른 경직형 뇌성마비 대상자의 교호운동 특성: 속도, 규칙성, 정확성, 일관성을 중심으로 (Diadochokinetic Characteristics in the Subjects with Spastic Cerebral Palsy by Severity: In Terms of Rate, Regularity, Accuracy and Consistency)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate diadochokinetic (DDK) characteristics in the subjects with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) by severity. DDK characteristics were measured through rate, regularity, accuracy and consistency in Alternate Motion rate (AMR) and Sequential Motion rate (SMR) tasks. The subjects participated in this study included 27 subjects with spastic CP (mild- 9, moderate- 9, severe- 9) and 9 normal persons who are around 11-20 years old. On the result of this study, rate in AMR was significant difference between all spastic groups and normal group, and rate in SMR was significant difference between normal and mild groups and moderate and severe groups. In regularity of the DDK tasks, severe group had significant difference the other groups. Finally, accuracy and consistency of the DDK tasks exhibited significant difference between all spastic groups and normal group. In conclusion, the subjects with spastic CP have a tendency to produce slow and irregular syllable repetition as severity increases, but to produce inaccurate and inconsistent syllable repetition regardless of severity in the DDK tasks.

  • 본 논문에서는 효율적인 차량 영상 안정화를 위한 고성능 차량 영상 정보 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 움직임 추정 및 움직임 보상으로 분할하여 설계하였다. 움직임 추정은 지역 모션 벡터 추정 및 불규칙 지역 모션 검출, 전역 모션 벡터 추정으로 구성하였다. 움직임 보상은 추정된 전역 모션 벡터를 사용하여 차량의 영상 흔들림을 보상하기 위해 네 방향에 대하여 보정을 하였다. 설계된 알고리즘은 차량 영상 안정화를 위해 IP에 적용하여 움직임 보정 기술 칩을 설계하였다. 본 논문의 결과, 움직이는 물체에 대한 차량 영상 안정화는 메모리를 사용하지 않고 실시간 처리를 했기 때문에 다른 방법과 비교하여 효율성을 입증하였다. 또한, 블록 정합을 통한 연산으로 계산 시간 감소 효과를 얻었다.

Motion and sloshing analysis for new concept of offshore storage unit

  • New concept of LNG-FPSO ship with moonpool and bilge step in bottom is considered and investigated in the point of motion reduction and sloshing phenomena of the cargo and operation tanks. The cargo capacity of the ship of which principle dimensions is L x B x D x t(design) =270.0 x 51.0 x 32.32 x 13.7(m) 16K at 98% loading condition. The two moonpools and rectangular step at bilge part are setted up specially for getting the effect of motion decrease. For the motion analysis, linearized three dimensional diffraction theory with the simplified boundary conditions is used. The six-degree of freedom coupled motion responses are calculated for the LNG-FPSO ship. Viscous effects on the roll motion responses of a vessel are taken into account in this calculation program using an empirical formula suggested by Ikeda, Himeno and Tanaka is used. The case study for the moonpool size had been carried out by theoretical estimation and experimental method. For the optimization of the moonpool size and effect of the step, 9 cases of its size and with and without step are considered. From the results of calculation and experiment, it can be concluded that this designed LNG-FPSO ship have possibility to carry out her missions in the rough sea as for the owner's demand waves condition. The motion responses, especially roll motion, for the designed LNG-FPSO ship are much lower than those of another drillship and shuttle tanker and limit criterions are satisfied. For the check of the cargo tank and operation tank sizes we have performed sloshing analysis in the irregular waves which focuses on the pressure distribution on the tank wall and the time history of pressure and free surface for No.2 and No5. tanks of LNG-FPSO with chamfers. Finally we got the tank size which has no resonance and no impact pressure in all filling in the bow quartering and beam sea.

감쇠판에 의한 원기둥의 상하운동 저감 모형시험 (Model Test for Heave Motion Reduction of a Circular Cylinder by a Damping Plate)

  • Motion reduction of an offshore structure at resonant frequency is essential for avoiding critical damage to the topside and mooring system. A damping plate has a distinct advantage in reducing the motion of a floating structure by increasing the added mass and the damping coefficient. In this study, the heave motion responses of a circular cylinder with an impermeable and a permeable damping plate attached at the bottom of the cylinder were investigated thru a model test. The viscous damping coefficients for various combinations of porosity were obtained from a free-decay test by determining the ratio between any pair of successive amplitudes. Maximum energy dissipation occurred at a porous plate with a porosity P = 0.1008. Experimental results for regular and irregular waves were compared with an analytical solution by Cho (2011). The measured heave RAO and spectrum reasonably followed the trends of the predicted values. A significant motion reduction at resonant frequency was pronounced and the heaving-motion energy calculated by the integration of the area under the heave motion spectrum was reduced by more than 75% by the damping plate. However, additional energy dissipation by eddies of strong vorticity and flow separation inside a porous damping plate was not found in the present experiments.

불규칙파에 의한 연안류 (Coastal Currents Driven by Irregular Waves)

  • 불규칙파에 의하여 형성된 쇄파대에서의 확산은 여러가지 요인에 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 개개파의 쇄파에너지로 발생되는 난류형상, 유속의 공간변화에 의한 영향, 쇄파대 폭의 확장과 함께 나타나는 잉여파응력(Excess Momentum Fluxes or Radiation Stresses)의 불규칙 중첩에 의한 영향 등이며 이로 인하여 연안류는 보다 완만한 곡선을 나타낼 것이다. 본 연구에서는 단순파를 중첩시켜 표현하는 스펙트럼파 모델을 ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ 모델과 연안류 모델에 접속시켜 운용할 수 있는 모델시스템을 개발하여 현장 관측자료에 적용하였다. 적용결과, ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ 모델은 쇄파대 확산에 있어 난류확산의 영향과 불규칙한 응력중첩이 영향 모두를 잘 재현할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 본 수치모형에서는 고려치 못하였지만, 파 스펙트럼간 에너지의 비선형 전도효과도 연안류분포에, 특히 수심이 작은 연안 가까이에서, 무시할 수 없을 정도의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The influence of the dam-reservoir interaction on the seismic response of dams is studied. The impounded water is assumed to be inviscid and compressible ideal fluid. Material damping is introduce to simulate the energy loss of wave propagation in the water. The irregular region of the impounded water adjacent to the dam is modeled by boundary element method. The regular region extending to infinity is modeled by the transmitting boundary. The dam body is assumed to behave elastically and modeled by finite element method. The coupled equation of motion is obtained by substructure method.
