Development of Body for Temmoku Tea Bowl Using Hwangto (황토를 사용한 천목소지 개발)

  • The objective of the present research is to develop the body for Temmoku Teabowl, in order to manufacture the Temmoku Teabowl with the characteristics of Jian Ware, which has a rich dark brown color and has been extolled as the representative fine article of Temmoku Teabowl. Basic composition was first determined using domestically produced clay, kaolin and pottery stone as starting materials. After the addition of calcinated Hwangto, which is rich in iron, the mixture was subjected either to oxidizing calcination at $1260^{\circ}C$ to produce a body with a color suitable for Hanam ware or to reducing calcination at $1230^{\circ}C$ to produce a body with a color suitable for Jian Ware. The bodies produced in this research showed the strength value of $380{\sim}36\;Kg/cm^2$, the specific gravity of 2.304~2.310, the absorption ratio of 4.103~3.897, and the porosity of 8.608~8.207%.

  • Extruders can be basically divided into bisk and screw type of extruders. Though plastic extruders are often used for its simplicity for water and oil transportation pumps, these days screw extruders are mostly used. Screws are used in many extrusion processes to manufacture complex and complicated shaped parts made of plastics, medicine materials, food, polymer composites, iron and ceramic powders, etc. Also, material correction of deformities is caused by flow and physicochemical reaction phenomenonand material extrusion is processed according to heat transfer. various material comes to hopper because extruder has function by blender and mixing of materials can go well before come out through dice. These change process is so complicated that process condition is decided by trial and error that process condition is underground mainly at extrusion molding process.

Analysis on the Vibration Characteristics of Ultra Precision Machine Tools (초정밀 가공 기계의 진동 특성 해석)

  • Ultra-precision machine tool equipped with the diamond bite tip is used to machine optical products, drums of VTR or computer hard disk. It needs nano technology in the surface roughness of workpiece. To perform the nano scale machining, ultra-precision machine tool must be designed and manufactured in consideration of the vibration characteristics. In this paper, using the finite element analysis, we investigate the modal parameters of the ultra-precision machine tool structures, which use cast iron, granite and alumina ceramic for the bed materials. To verify the numerical results, we manufacture a model of ultra-precision machine tool using granite bed and perform impulse test. Through the theoretical and experimental analyses, we could compare and estimate the vibration characteristics of the three models for the ultra-precision machine tools.

  • Portland cement is presently the most widely used construction material. The process of manufacture of cement consists essentially of grinding the raw materials, mixing them intimately proportions and burning in a rotary kiln at a temperature of up to about $1450^{\circ}C$. Raw materials have used limestone, clay, silica, and iron oxide and fuel have used bituminous coal. Recently, A standpoint of the recycling of material resources, the production of cement use of industrial waste and residual products. Therefore, the final product of cement were included heavy metals such as $Cr^{+6}$ and Pb. The purpose of this study is standardization for $Cr^{+6}$ analysis in cement and concrete. From the comparative study of the examination method of $Cr^{+6}$ analysis, Japan cement association standard of $Cr^{+6}$ analysis is most suitable for the real state of affairs in korea.

  • This paper describes oil water separator using difference of electrical resistor. Oil is a non-conductive element and water is a relatively high conductive element. It is possible to detect water included in oil. Electric sensor is formed 8mm iron stick. Valve is operated With controller inputting signal of electric sensor. A experiment was done for necessary voltage in making program of controller. Oil water separator which was tested in field conditions was saved 7% of whole oil and was drained over 150% water than manual valve.

A Study on Detecting Dross in Coating Layer on Hot-dip Galvanizing Steels (용융아연 도금강판의 도금층에 잔류한 드로스 검출에 관한 연구)

  • To develop a method of detecting dross in coating layer on hot-dip galvanizing steel, chemical etching behavior of the artificial coating layers with top and bottom dross were investigated. After chemical etching with the mixture of picric acid and sodium thiosulfate, each of the top and bottom dross take its distinct color, and alloy layer in coating is also observed. Defects in the coating layers of HGI(hot rolled galvanized iron), CGI(continuous galvanized steel sheet) and GA(galvannealed steel) were analysed, and methods of dross detection which can be applied to inspection process in manufacture were suggested.

  • Electrodeposition of metals form aqueous solutions (eg, electroplating ) is frequently accompanied, by the discharge of hydrogen ions(in acidic solutions) or water molecules ( in alkaline electrolytes). The atomic hydrogen produced thus may partly diffuse into the interior of the substrate and when this is absorbed by iron/steel substrate, it has detrimental effects on the mechanical properties of the steel, leading to ahydrogen embrittlement. Steels, particularly the high strength steels, are prone to hydrogen embrittlement. In view of the increasing applications of high strength steels in variousindustries, particularly in the aircraft manufacture, there has been renewed interest in the studiesonhydrogen embrittlement during electroplating of metals. In this review, the author summarizes the reports on hydrogen embrittlement during preplating of metals. In this review , the author sumamrizes the hydrogen embrittlement during electroplating of metals. In this review , the author summarizes the reports on hydrogen embrittlement during preplating operations and electroplating of metals like copper, nickel, tin, zinc ,cadimum and chromium.   • The notion of leisure has changed with industrial development and improvement in life quality. Bicycling is a healthy sport; it is an exercise performed while enjoying nature. There have been many changes in the materials that are used to manufacture the bicycle frame. Iron and aluminum have been mainly used in bicycle frames. However, carbon-based materials are lighter and stronger than metal frames. The bicycles made of carbon composite changes frame rigidity depending on the direction of the carbon sheet sacking angle. We study the direction of composite material and how they affect the stiffness of frames based on the stacking angle.

The Environmental Hazard Assessment of Siting Restricted Industries from Industrial Complex in Rural Area Applied by Chemical Ranking and Scoring System (화학적 등급화기법을 적용한 농공단지 입주제한업종의 환경유해성 평가)

  • The priorities of siting restriction was derived from quantification of environmental hazard according to industrial classification based on 'Chemical Ranking and Scoring System(CRS)' which is handling the discharge characteristics of 31 industrial classifications regulated from locating at 'Industrial Complex in Rural Area(ICRA)'. CRS that is utilizing the data of 'Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers(PRTR)' is applied to determine human health risk and ecological risk which are calculated by discharged amount and materials $LC_{50}$ according to water, soil and air media based on industrial classification. From this process, exposure assessment and toxicity assessment for integrating the adverse environmental impact and the mitigation effect of environmental risk according to the development of environmental technologies into establishing the rational landuse management method for the 31 industrial classifications regulated from locating at ICRA was analyzed. From the assessment result of the siting restriction removal at ICRA for 31 industrial classifications, based on 2012 year reference 6 industries that includes Manufacture of Guilt Coloration Surface Processing Steel Materials, Manufacture of Biological Product, Manufacture of Smelting Refining and Alloys of Copper, Dyeing and Finishing of Fibers and Yarns, Manufacture of Other Basic Iron and Steel n.e.c., Rolling Drawing and Extruding of Non-ferrous Metals n.e.c. are calculated as having relatively lower environmental hazards, thus it is judged that the siting restriction mitigation at ICRA is possible for the 6 industrial classifications that are not discharging the specific hazardous water contaminants during manufacturing process.
