무산세 열연 용융아연도금강판의 도금밀착성에 미치는 도금욕 Al농도의 영향 (Effect of Al content on coating adhesion of hot rolled galvanized iron manufactured without pickling process)

  • The effect was investigated that aluminium in the zinc bath has on the coating adhesion of Hot-rolled Galvanized Iron(HGI) manufactured without pickling process. It is thought that the coating adhesion of HGI manufactured without pickling process is good due to the fact that increasing aluminium content in the zinc bath makes zinc and aluminium diffuse to the cracks or pores in the scale formed through the reduction heat treatment, and Fe-Zn-Al compound with good ductility is formed in the scale layer and plays a role of anchor between zinc coating and substrate. It is possible that HGI with the good coating adhesion was produced without pickling treatment in the zinc bath with more that 3wt% of Al content even at the $550^{\circ}C$ of conventional reduction heating temperature. In creasing the temperature of heating section and aluminium content in the zinc bath prevents the Zn-Fe alloy. The corrosion resistance of HGI manufactured without pickling process is excellent because of the mixed reaction of zinc sacrifice and aluminium passivity film.

CV흑연주철의 용해현상에 관한 연구 (Melting Phenomena of Compacted Vermicular Graphite Cast Iron)

  • In this study the principles of melting phenomena of compacted vermicular graphite cast iron are discussed by considering the effects of the variation of phosphorus content and heating rate on the quenched microstructure of the specimens. In compacted vermicular graphite cast iron containing little phosphorus, the melting phenomena are found initially at the outer region of austenite shell and subsequently progressed with the diffusion of carbon through the austenite shell without regard to heating rate. But as the phosphorus content was increased over than 0.12wt.%, the melting phenomena initiated at the boundary of eutectic shell and progressed along the contact area between the melt and graphite tips at higher heating rate. At lower heating rate, the melt of steadite dissolved at the lower temperature than that of eutectic was moved toward the graphite through the austenite grain-boundary and promoted melting of graphite and matrix.

  • The effects of thickness, silicon and manganese contents on the mechanical properties of 3.3 wt%C-0.1 wt%S thin-section gray cast iron plates were investigated. The eutectic cell counts and volume fraction of pearlite in the matrix decreased with increased thickness and therefore the strength and hardness decreased with it. Even though the eutectic cell count increased with increased silicon content, the volume fraction of pearlite decreased and the strength and hardness decreased with it. The pearlite was refined more with increased manganese content and therefore the strength and hardness increased with it.

  • We analyzed the contents of 12 types of minerals such as calcium in muscle from various species. Thereafter we observed changes of the concentrations according to age, part and sex in major domestic animals. The concentrations of calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc were high respectively whilst the content of cobalt, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and nickel were low respectively in the muscle. The concentration of calcium was high in duck and dog but low in pig and horse. Also high level of sodium content was detected in dog and the content of potassium, iron showed high level in horse compared with the content in other animals. In 6 types of microminerals as cobalt, the level of muscle were no more than 1 ppm showing very low content in all animal, but $2.99{\pm}0.85$ppm of copper in duck was an exceptional case. According to the age some species showed small range of variation centering on macrominerals and there was no remarkable change in microminerals. Distribution of minerals was different according to the part and the variation was very diverse compared with other factors such as age and sex. Additionally, the content of minerals in muscle was higher in female than in male chicken and duck. In conclusion, the difference of the content of minerals according to the species was mainly focused on macrominerals.

비정질 알칼리 규산염 원자구조의 철 함량 효과에 관한 고체 NMR 분광학 연구 (The Effect of Iron Content on the Atomic Structure of Alkali Silicate Glasses using Solid-state NMR Spectroscopy)

  • 철을 포함한 비정질 규산염 용융체의 원자 구조 규명은 지표 환경의 화성활동 및 맨틀 심부의 초저속도층의 속도구조에 이르는 광범위한 지질과정의 미시적인 원인에 대한 단서를 제공한다. 본 연구에서는 철을 포함한 비정질 규산염의 원자 구조 규명에 가장 적합한 고상 핵자기공명분광분석(NMR)을 이용하여 최대 16.07 wt%의 $Fe_2O_3$가 포함된 비정질 알칼리 규산염(iron-bearing alkali silicate glasses)의 철의 함량 변화가 원자구조에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. $^{29}Si$ 스핀-격자 완화시간($T_1$)을 측정한 결과, 철의 함량에 따라 스핀-격자 완화시간이 짧아지는데 이는 철이 가지고 있는 홀전자(unpaired electron)와 핵 스핀(nuclear spin)간의 상호작용으로부터 기인한다. $^{29}Si$ MAS NMR 실험 결과, 철이 포함되지 않은 시료의 경우 $Q^2$, $Q^3$ 그리고 $Q^4$의 환경을 지시하는 피크가 분리됨에 반하여, 철이 포함된 시료의 경우 NMR 신호의 급격한 감소와 피크 폭이 넓어짐으로써 각각의 규소 환경이 거의 분리되지 않았다. 그러나 철의 함량에 따라 스펙트럼이 넓어지고 화학적 차폐값(chemical shift)이 높아지는 현상을 확인하였는데, 이는 $Q^4$의 규소 환경을 나타내는 방향으로서 철 주변의 $Q^n$이 불균질하게 분포하고 있음을 지시한다. $^{17}O$ MAS NMR 실험에서도 철이 포함되지 않은 시료에서는 연결산소(Si-O-Si)와 비연결산소(Na-O-Si)가 부분적으로 분리되지만, 철의 함량이 증가하면서 각각의 산소 환경이 거의 분리되지 않는다. 이러한 연구결과는 고상 핵자기공명분광분석이 철을 포함한 비정질 규산염의 상세한 구조 연구에 효과적인 도구임을 지시한다.

  • Machinability and machining mechanism were examined in the case where resin impregnation treatment was conducted to the Mo-Co hardening particle dispersed iron-based sintered alloy. As a result, the force required for machining decreased significantly compared with the case where resin impregnation treatment was not conducted. This effect is considered to be attributable to the embrittlement of cutting chips produced by the minimization of the cut material deformation.

Rat에 있어서 실험적 납중독이 체조직내 납 및 무기질함량에 미치는 영향 (The effects of lead poisoning on the accumulation of lead, zinc, copper, iron and calcium in tissues of rats)

  • This experiment was carried out to clarify the effect of lead poisoning on the lead and essential trace elements homeostasis of tissues in rats. Fifty female Wistar rats, 7 weeks old, were divided into four experimental groups(B, C, D, and E) and a control(A). The four experimental groups received diets contaminated artificially with 10 (B group), 100 (C group), 1,000 (D group) and 5,000 (E group) ${\mu}g/g$ of lead as lead acetate, respectively. The control group received normal diet. Rats were necropsied on the 4th or 8th week of experimental periods and heart, liver, spleen, kidney, muscle, lung and hair were taken. The tissues were analysed for lead, copper, zinc, iron and calcium content by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. From these experiments following results ware obtained ; In C group, lead content of the heart, liver, kidney and hair were significantly increased both on the 4th and 8th week of experiment. In D and E group, lead content of all tissues including heart, liver, spleen, kidney, muscle, hair and lung were significantly increased in accordance with the lead contamination both on the 4th and 8th week of experiment. In C group, copper content of tissues were significantly increased in the heart, liver, kidney and lung on the 4th week and all tissues on the 8th week of experimental periods. In D and E group, copper content of the liver were significantly increased both on the 4th and 8th week of experiment. But the copper content of tissues were gradually decreased compared with C group in accordance with the lead contamination. Especially the content in spleen, heart or kidney were significantly decreased compared with the control group. The zinc content of kidney, heart, or spleen were decreased in D and E groups whereas the iron and calcium content showed no significant change.

경상분지내 철광상 관련 울산화강암에 대한 지화학적 연구 (A Geochemical Study on Ulsan Granite in Relation to Iron Ore Deposits in the Gyeongsang Basin)

  • Ulsan granite is plotted mainly in the region of syeno-granite of the Streckeisen diagram, which consists with those of iron related granites in the area of Kimhae-Mulgum, while Chindong granites and Yucheon-Eonyang granites are plotted in the regions of granodiorite-diorite and monzo-granite, respectively. These granites show a differentiation trend of calc-alkaline magma, and their magmatic evolution from intermediate to acidic rocks is consistant with the general crystallization path of the Cretaceous granitic rocks in the Gyeongsang basin. The difference index (D.I.) is 70~90 for Ulsan granite, which lies between 35~80 of Chindong granites and 85~95 of Yucheon-Eonyang granites. These granites are distinguishable from each other by variation patterns of chemical elements. For instance, there is clear difference in content of some major and trace elements between Ulsan granite and Cu-related Chindong granites: Ulsan granite has high content of K (2.68%) and Ba (636 ppm), and low content of Ca (1.07%), Mg (0.50%) and Sr (185 ppm), whereas Chindong granites has less content of K (1.62%) and Ba (382 ppm), and higher content of Ca (3.75%), Mg (1.42%) and Sr (405 ppm). However, the content of Ulsan granite overlaps partly those of Yucheon-Eonyang granites, which are apparently dividable from Chindong granites. There is an usual trend that Cu content is high in Chindong granites of Cu province and Zn content is higher in Yucheon-Eonyang granites of Pb-Zn province. But it is unusual that Cu and Zn are higher in Ulsan granite (34 ppm, 74 ppm) than in Chindong granites (15 ppm, 22 ppm) and Yucheon-Eonyang granites (14 ppm, 43 ppm). This may be due to the reason that Ulsan granite is productive and Cu-Zn minerals are associated with iron ores. Productive Chindong granites in Haman-Gunbug area and Yuchon-Eonyang granites near ore deposits have higher content of Cu and Zn than Ulsang granite. Therefore, it is expected that chemical variation patterns of granites are applicable to distinguish mineral commodity of ore deposits (iron, copper, or lead-zinc) related with the granites in the Gyeongsasng basin.
