본 논문에서는 우수토실에서 강우시의 시간 당 우수량이 일정량에 도달할 경우, 그 이상의 우수를 하수 처리장으로 송수하지 않고 하천으로 직접 방류하도록 설계된 장치인 우수토실 일체형 하수유량조절장치를, LoRa 네트워크를 이용하여 원격지에서 모니터링하는 시스템의 개발을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 우수토실 일체형 하수유량조절장치가 LoRa 네트워크에 등록된 이후, 센서에서 생산된 정보를 LoRa 네트워크 서버로 전송하여 갱신되었을 때, 이를 어플리케이션 서버에서 자동으로 수신할 수 있도록 어플리케이션 서버의 통신 인터페이스를 구현하며, 우수토실 장치 관리 및 구독 정보 관리를 수행한다. 또한 각 우수토실 장치의 유량과 개폐 정보를 수집하고, 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 통계 정보를 제공하는 기능을 수행한다. 안드로이드 어플리케이션에서는 우수토실 장치의 오작동 여부를 사용자에게 즉시 전달하도록 파이어베이스(Firebase) 기반의 알림 기능을 수행한다.
