IoT could be applied to various areas because of the important role of sensor. The existing sensor communication method is to quickly transmit data by using clock and two data pins based on the I2C serial communication method. As the objects used are gradually light-weighted and the amount of data transmission is decreased, the simplification of hardware is more emphasized as an essential design element than the speed of transmission. This paper designed a circuit to send/receive data in series, and also realized arduino, by analyzing the existing communication method and then using a single pin for light-weight. The single pin serial communication could reduce power consumption, which is suitable for the sensor area using digital communication of IoT area.
These-days technology related to IoT (Internet of Thing) is widely used and there are many types of smart system based IoT like smart health, smart building and so on. In smart health system, it is possible to check someone's health by analyzing data from wearable IoT device like smart watch. Smart building system aims to collect data from sensor such as humidity, temperature, human counter like that and control the building for energy efficiency, security, safety and so forth. Furthermore, smart city system can comprise several smart systems like smart building, smart health, smart mobility, smart energy and etc. In this paper, we propose multimedia IoT based intelligent emergency alarm system for smart city. In existing IoT based smart system, it communicates lightweight data like text data. In the past, due to network's limitations lightweight IoT protocol was proposed for communicating data between things but now network technology develops, problem which is to communicate heavy data is solving. The proposed system obtains video from IP cameras/CCTVs, analyses the video by exploiting AI algorithm for detecting emergencies and prevents them which cause damage or death. If emergency is detected, the proposed system sends warning message that emergency may occur to people or agencies. We built prototype of the intelligent emergency alarm system based on MQTT and assured that the system detected dangerous situation and sent alarm messages. From the test results, it is expected that the system can prevent damages of people, nature and save human life from emergency.

As everything linking to the internet, people can subscribe to various services from a service provider to facilitate their lives through the Internet of Things (IoT). An obligatory thing for the service provider is that they should push the service data safely and timely to multiple IoT terminal devices regularly after the IoT devices accomplishing the service subscription. In order to control the service message received by the legal devices as while as keep the confidentiality of the data, the public key encryption algorithm is utilized. While the existing public encryption algorithms for push service are too complicated for IoT devices, and almost of the current subscription schemes based on push mode are relying on centralized organization which may suffer from centralized entity corruption or single point of failure. To address these issues, we design a secure subscription-push service scheme based on blockchain and edge computing in this article, which is decentralized with secure architecture for the subscription and push of service. Furthermore, inspired by broadcast encryption and multicast encryption, a new encryption algorithm is designed to manage the permissions of IoT devices together with smart contract, and to protect the confidentiality of push messages, which is suitable for IoT devices. The edge computing nodes, in the new system architecture, maintain the blockchain to ensure the impartiality and traceability of service subscriptions and push messages, meanwhile undertake some calculations for IoT devices with limited computing power. The legalities of subscription services are guaranteed by verifying subscription tags on the smart contract. Lastly, the analysis indicates that the scheme is reliable, and the proposed encryption algorithm is safe and efficient.

The sixth generation(6G) wireless communication technology is advancing toward ultra-high speed, ultra-high bandwidth, and hyper-connectivity. With the development of communication technologies, the formation of a hyper-connected society is rapidly accelerating, expanding from the IoT(Internet of Things) to the IoE(Internet of Everything). However, at the same time, security threats targeting IoT devices have become widespread, and there are concerns about security incidents such as unauthorized access and information leakage. As a result, the need for security-enhancing solutions is increasing. In this paper, we implement an autoencoder-based anomaly detection model utilizing real-time collected network traffics in respond to IoT security threats. Considering the difficulty of capturing IoT device traffic data for each attack in real IoT environments, we use an unsupervised learning-based autoencoder and implement 6 different autoencoder models based on the use of noise in the training data and the dimensions of the latent space. By comparing the model performance through experiments, we provide a performance evaluation of the anomaly detection model for detecting abnormal network traffic.
Autonomous things system is a technology that judges and acts based on using surrounding information by itself, and it is evaluated as a future technology that can replace the current IoT technology. The current IoT technology is widely used from facility monitoring to machine control but it is shown weakness as a evaluation and prediction technique despite of smart city important technology. In this study, in order to confirm the application of the autonomous things technology, a monitoring system was installed on a real reservoir dam facility and long-term monitoring was performed that the measuring device itself judges and control as a facility monitoring technology. The autonomous things technology was confirmed during 19 months and it is possible to continuous measurement in the same way as current automated instrumentation. In addition, it was confirmed that the ICT device itself could to control autonomously measurement cycle according to the rainfall by itself.
With the development of IT technology, many changes are taking place in the health service environment over the past. However, even if medical technology is converged with IT technology, the problem of medical costs and management of health services are still one of the things that needs to be addressed. In this paper, we propose a model for hospitals that have established the IoT system to efficiently analyze and manage the personal information of users who receive medical services. The proposed model aims to efficiently check and manage users' medical information through an in-house IoT system. The proposed model can be used in a variety of heterogeneous cloud environments, and users' medical information can be managed efficiently and quickly without additional human and physical resources. In particular, because users' medical information collected in the proposed model is stored on servers through the IoT gateway, medical staff can analyze users' medical information accurately regardless of time and place. As a result of performance evaluation, the proposed model achieved 19.6% improvement in the efficiency of health care services for occupational health care staff over traditional medical system models that did not use the IoT system, and 22.1% improvement in post-health care for users who received medical services. In addition, the burden on medical staff was 17.6 percent lower on average than the existing medical system models.
The creativity of thesis is that the significance of cyber security challenges in blockchain. The variety of enterprises, including those in the medical market, are the targets of cyberattacks. Hospitals and clinics are only two examples of medical facilities that are easy targets for cybercriminals, along with IoT-based medical devices like pacemakers. Cyberattacks in the medical field not only put patients' lives in danger but also have the potential to expose private and sensitive information. Reviewing and looking at the present and historical flaws and vulnerabilities in the blockchain-based IoT and medical institutions' equipment is crucial as they are sensitive, relevant, and of a medical character. This study aims to investigate recent and current weaknesses in medical equipment, of blockchain-based IoT, and institutions. Medical security systems are becoming increasingly crucial in blockchain-based IoT medical devices and digital adoption more broadly. It is gaining importance as a standalone medical device. Currently the use of software in medical market is growing exponentially and many countries have already set guidelines for quality control. The achievements of the thesis are medical equipment of blockchain-based IoT no longer exist in a vacuum, thanks to technical improvements and the emergence of electronic health records (EHRs). Increased EHR use among providers, as well as the demand for integration and connection technologies to improve clinical workflow, patient care solutions, and overall hospital operations, will fuel significant growth in the blockchain-based IoT market for linked medical devices. The need for blockchain technology and IoT-based medical device to enhance their health IT infrastructure and design and development techniques will only get louder in the future. Blockchain technology will be essential in the future of cybersecurity, because blockchain technology can be significantly improved with the cybersecurity adoption of IoT devices, i.e., via remote monitoring, reducing waiting time for emergency rooms, track assets, etc. This paper sheds the light on the benefits of the blockchain-based IoT market.

Internet of things (IoT) is based on a global dynamic information network with cloud services where a great number of devices (things) exchange data to provide added-value services and products. There are several commercial and open source IoT platforms available in the market to connect devices to internet; however, they have cost and operational constraints that make them not suitable for academic projects. In this work, an IoT platform, known as Novus-io, is introduced in order to support academic projects for undergraduate students. With this platform and proper training, undergraduate students from different majors (not only from information technology and electronics) are capable to upgrade their school projects with IoT functionalities. The objective of this approach is to provide to any undergraduate student skills and knowledge on IoT, so they will be prepared, in their imminent step toward professionalism, to understand the relevance of digital services in today's world.
