The Internet of Things (IoT) is a rapidly growing physical network that depends on objects, vehicles, sensors, and smart devices. IoT has recently become an important research topic as it autonomously acquires, integrates, communicates, and shares data directly across each other. The centralized architecture of IoT makes it complex to concurrently access control them and presents a new set of technological limitations when trying to manage them globally. This paper proposes a new decentralized access control architecture to manage IoT devices using blockchain, that proposes a solution to concurrency management problems and enhances resource locking to reduce the transaction conflict and avoids deadlock problems. In addition, the proposed algorithm improves performance using a fully distributed access control system for IoT based on blockchain technology. Finally, a performance comparison is provided between the proposed solution and the existing access management solutions in IoT. Deadlock detection is evaluated with the latency of requesting in order to examine various configurations of our solution for increasing scalability. The main goal of the proposed solution is concurrency problem avoidance in decentralized access control management for IoT devices.

Internet of Things (IoT) devices connected to the network without appropriate security solutions have become a serious security threat to ICT infrastructure. Moreover, due to the nature of IoT devices, it is difficult to apply currently existing security solutions. As a result, IoT devices have easily become targets for cyber attackers, and malware attacks on IoT devices are actually increasing every year. Even though several security solutions are being developed to protect IoT infrastructure, there is a great risk to apply unverified security solutions to real-world environments. Therefore, verification tools to verify the functionality and performance of the developed security solutions are also needed. Furthermore, just as security threats vary, there are several security solution s that defend against them, requiring suitable verification tools based on the characteristics of each security solution. In this paper, we propose an high-speed malware propagation tool that spreads malware at high speed in the IoT infrastructure. Also, we can verify the functionality of the security solution that detect and quickly block attacks spreading in IoT infrastructure by using the high-speed malware propagation tool.

In this paper, we propose an IoT-enabled solution for tour photography services with small-size investment and resources in the travel and tourism industries, being able to impact on economic, social, and cultural values. An IoT-enabled camera is developed based on an open hardware and software platform complying with oneM2M, which can make traditional embedded systems oneM2M-compliant devices due to a middleware solution called TAS (thing adaptation software). IoT cameras deployed around photo zones in a tour site could be remotely controlled via an IoT gateway with a Web-based application on a smartphone. Users would perform a pan and tilt camera control if they want and then take and download a perfect photo picture (even though they are away from the tour site). We expect that the proposed solution will promote the deployment IoT-enabled technologies in tour and travel industries which are important parts of the tertiary sector.

IoT devices including smart devices are connected with internet, thus they have security threats everytime. Particularly, IoT devices are composed of low performance MCU and small-capacity memory because they are miniaturized, so they are likely to be exposed to various security threats like DoS attacks. In addition, in case of IoT devices installed for a remote place, it's not easy for users to control continuously them and to install immediately security patch for them. For most of IoT devices connected directly with internet under user's intention, devices exposed to outside by setting IoT gateway, and devices exposed to outside by the DMZ function or Port Forwarding function of router, specific protocol for IoT services was used and the devices show a response when services about related protocol are required from outside. From internet search engine for IoT devices, IP addresses are inspected on the basis of protocol mainly used for IoT devices and then IP addresses showing a response are maintained as database, so that users can utilize related information. Specially, IoT devices using HTTP and HTTPS protocol, which are used at usual web server, are easily searched at usual search engines like Google as well as search engine for the sole IoT devices. Ill-intentioned attackers get the IP addresses of vulnerable devices from search engine and try to attack the devices. The purpose of this study is to find the problems arisen when HTTP, HTTPS, CoAP, SOAP, and RestFUL protocols used for IoT devices are detected by search engine and are maintained as database, and to seek the solution for the problems. In particular, when the user ID and password of IoT devices set by manufacturing factory are still same or the already known vulnerabilities of IoT devices are not patched, the dangerousness of the IoT devices and its related solution were found in this study.

Internet of Things (IoT) is now spreading everywhere. It's the technology of every person's need so we can't step back from IoT but we can secure it as it is spreading quickly so it has greater chances of danger and being misused. There is an urgent need to make IoT devices secure from getting cracked or hacked. A lot of methods had tried and still trying to mitigate IoT security issues. In this paper Blockchain is going to be the solution of most of the IoT issues or problems. We have discussed or highlighted security issues with centralized IoT and then provided solution of such security challenges through the use of blockchain because is based on a decentralized technology that is hard to modify or update.

The development in the field of the internet of things (IoT) have improved the quality of the life and also strengthened different areas in the society. All cities across the world are seeking to become smarter. The creation of a smart parking system is the essential use case in smart cities. In recent couple of years, the number of vehicles has increased significantly. As a result, it is critical to make the use of technology that enables hassle-free parking in both public and private spaces. In conventional parking systems, drivers are not able to find free parking space. Conventional systems requires more human interference in a parking lots. To manage these circumstances there is an intense need of IoT enabled parking solution that includes the well defined architecture that will contain the following components such as smart sensors, communication agreement and software solution. For implementing such a smart parking system in this paper we proposed a design of smart parking system and also compare it with convetional system. The proposed design utilizes sensors based on IoT and Data Mining techniques to handle real time management of the parking system. IoT enabled smart parking solution minimizes the human interference and also saves energy, money and time.
IoT (Internet of Things) is a collective term referring to application services that provide information through sensors/devices connected to the internet. The real world application of IoT is expanding fast along with growing number of sensors/devices. However, since IoT application relies on vertical combination of sensors/devices networks, information sharing within IoT services remains unresolved challenge. Consequently, IoT sensors/devices demand high construction and maintenance costs, rendering the creation of new IoT services potentially expensive. One solution is to launch an IoT open market for information sharing similar to that of App Store for smart-phones. Doing so will efficiently allow novel IoT services to emerge across various industries, because developers can purchase licenses to access IoT resources directly via an open market. Sharing IoT resource information through an open market will create an echo-system conducive for easy utilization of resources and communication between IoT service providers, resource owners, and developers. This paper proposes the new business model of IoT open market for information sharing, and the requirements for ensuring security and standardization of open markets.
NB-IoT and LTE Cat.M1 based on LPWA(Low Power Wide Area) are commercialized and serviced by mobile carriers. As the demand for IoT devices is increased, the number of subscribers to these services is also increasing. In the beginning of service, there was no issue that eNB capacity for NB-IoT and LTE Cat.M1. However, as the number of subscribers increases, there is an issue that the eNB capacity for these service is insufficient. Active UE capacity issue may cause overload by continuous increase and temporary increase. In this paper, we propose a solution to solve the problem of LTE RRC(Radio Resource Control) Active UE capacity shortage and base station overload caused by the increase of NB-IoT and LTE Cat.M1 UE in same eNB. The proposed solution can increase a cell capacity without cell division and additional eNB, and can also improve the service quality of these UEs.
