  • The Internet of Things (IoT) provides data convergence and sharing functions, and IoT technology is the most fundamental core technology in creating new services by convergence of various cutting-edge technologies. However, there are different classification systems for the Internet of Things, and when it is limited to the domestic public sector, it is difficult to properly grasp the current status of which devices are installed and operated with what share, and systematic data or research The results are very difficult to find. Therefore, in this study, the relevance of the classification system for IoT devices was analyzed according to reality based on sales, shipments, and growth rate, and based on this, the actual share of IoT devices among domestic public institutions was analyzed in detail. The derived detailed analysis results are expected to be efficiently utilized in the process of selecting IoT devices for research and analysis to advance information protection technology such as responding to malicious code attacks on IoT devices, analyzing incidents, and strengthening security vulnerabilities.

  • Recently, research on Society 5.0 has been actively carried out in Japan. The Society 5.0 is used in various areas using IoT sensors. This paper proposes a privacy approach model of multiple approaches to IoT users based on Society 5.0. The proposed model used multiple methods of synchronizing important information of IoT devices with one another in the virtual environment. The proposed model improved the efficiency of IoT information by accumulating the weight of IoT information on a probability-based basis. Further, it improves the accuracy of IoT information by segmenting it so that attribute information is linked to IoT information. As a result of the performance evaluation, the efficiency of IoT devices has improved by an average of 5.6 percent, depending on the number of IoT devices and the number of IoT hub devices. Accuracy has improved by an average of 15.9% depending on information collection and processing.

  • A Smart Building, one that uses automated processes to control its operations, refers in this study to one that uses both Internet of Things (IoT) devices and cloud services software. Cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon, Google, and Microsoft) have recently providedIoT cloud platform application services on IoT devices. According to Postscapes, there are now 152 IoT cloud platforms. Choosing one for a smart building is challenging. We selected Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and Amazon's AWS (Amazon Web Services) IoT. The two platforms were evaluated and selected from a smart building perspective. Each prototype was evaluated on two different IoTplatforms, assuming a typical smart building scenario. The selection was based on information and experience gained from developing the prototype system using the IoT cloud platform. The assessment made in this evaluation may be used to select an IoTcloud platform for smart buildings in the future.

  • In this study, we compared and analyzed the Arduino-based IoT coding environment, which is most frequently used in OSHW, and the microbit-based IoT coding environment developed and spread in the UK. The results show that a microbit-based educational environment can offer a variety of benefits. Although the basic problems are defined and compared, many differences occur. Microbit-based environment has less overhead than Arduino-based environment, which is effective for IoT coding education.

  • This study propose the traffic shaping scheme on IoT Network. The proposed scheme can be operated on the gateway which called sink node and control the IoT traffic with considering the traffic type(real-time based or non real-time based). It is proved that the proposed scheme shows a efficient and compatible result by the numerical analysis and the simulation on the proposed model. And the efficient of the proposed scheme by the numerical analysis has a approximate result of the simulation.

  • SMEs and small enterprises are making various attempts to manage SMEs in terms of equipment, safety and energy management as well as production management. However, SMEs do not have the investment capacity and it is not easy to build a smart factory to improve management and productivity of SMEs. In this paper, we propose a smart factory construction algorithm that partially integrates the factory equipment currently operated by SMEs. The proposed algorithm supports collection, storage, management and processing of product information and release information through IoT device during the whole manufacturing process so that SMEs' smart factory environment can be constructed and operated in stages. In addition, the proposed algorithm is characterized in that central server manages authentication information between devices to automate the linkage between IoT devices regardless of the number of IoT devices. As a result of the performance evaluation, the proposed algorithm obtained 13.7% improvement in the factory process and efficiency before building the Smart Factory environment, and 19.8% improvement in the processing time in the factory. Also, the cost of input of manpower into process process was reduced by 37.1%.

  • Since IoT is expected to enable hyper-connected society to be realized with the advent of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, many advanced foreign countries as well as United Kingdom identified IoT spectrum policy as one of the first priority in spectrum management in order to cope with the frequency demands required for the promotion of IoT service. In Korea, the frequencies of 110 MHz bandwidth has been also supplied additionaly for IoT in July 2016 in order to activate a promising new IoT industry based on wireless communication, which has great potential for future industrial growth. Therefore, in this paper, we propose spectrum policy and the research and innovation trends on IoT to promote IoT industry by analyzing the major communication network, the key challenge technologies and the spectrum policy framework of foreign countries.

  • Recently, due to the increase in the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the amount of data transmitted and processed to cloud computing servers has increased rapidly. As a result, network problems (delay, server overload and security threats) are emerging. In particular, edge computing with lower computational capabilities than cloud computing requires a lightweight authentication algorithm that can easily authenticate numerous IoT devices. In this paper, we proposed a key-agreement protocol of a lightweight algorithm that guarantees anonymity and forward and backward secrecy between IoT and edge devices. and the proposed algorithm is stable in MITM and replay attacks for edge device and IoT. As a result of comparing and analyzing the proposed key-agreement protocol with previous studies, it was shown that a lightweight protocol that can be efficiently used in IoT and edge devices.

  • Services that enhance user convenience by using various IoT devices are increasing with the development of Internet of Things(IoT) technology. Also, since the price of IoT sensors has become cheaper, companies providing services by collecting and utilizing data from various sensors are increasing. The smart IoT home system is a representative use case that improves the user convenience by using IoT devices. To improve user convenience of Smart IoT home system, this paper proposes a method for the control of related devices based on data analysis. Internal environment measurement data collected from IoT sensors, device control data collected from device control actuators, and user judgment data are learned to predict the current home state and control devices. Especially, differently from previous approaches, it uses deep neural network to analyze the data to determine the inner state of the home and provide information for maintaining the optimal inner environment. In the experiment, we compared the results of the long-term measured data with the inferred data and analyzed the discrimination performance of the proposed method.

  • The semantic information provided through the semantic-based IoT system will produce new high value-added products that are completely different from what we have known and experienced. From this point of view, the key issue of current IoT technology and applications is the development of an intelligent IoT platform architecture. The proposed system collects the IoT data of the sensors from the cloud computer, converts them into RDF, and annotates them with semantics. The converted semantic data is shared and utilized through the ontology repository. We use KT's IoTMakers as a cloud computing environment, and the ontology repository uses Jena's Fuseki server to express SPARQL query results on the web using Daum Map API and Highcharts API. This gives people the opportunity to access the semantic IoT mash-up service easily and has various application possibilities.
