Smart Fusion Agriculture based on Internet of Thing (사물 인터넷 기반의 농업 융·복합 연구)

  • The IoT has attracted attention as one of the technologies that are applied to various industries and create new services. The IoT can utilize existing network technologies to create services by providing Internet connection between objects. Objects Personalized services can be created by collecting various data using the IoT. In the field of agriculture, we are promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing competitiveness through the use of the IoT, and the convergence of IoT in agriculture is pushing for smart agriculture. In Korea, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is preparing measures to spread smart farms to improve agricultural competitiveness using IoT technology. Therefore, we propose the development model of smart agriculture in the future through the case study on the IoT based on agriculture.

  • Recently, the research for IoT technologies has been established actively, however the structure of centralized network has been pointed out as the vulnerable points. To solve these problems such as system load and security vulnerability, the research to introduce block chain technology is needed. In this paper, we propose the network domain for convergence of block chain and IoT platform, and describe the advantages from the convergence and various and applicable fields.

A Resource Planning Policy to Support Variable Real-time Tasks in IoT Systems (사물인터넷 시스템에서 가변적인 실시간 태스크를 지원하는 자원 플래닝 정책)

  • With the growing data size and the increased computing load in machine learning, energy-efficient resource planning in IoT systems is becoming increasingly important. In this paper, we suggest a new resource planning policy for real-time workloads that can be fluctuated over time in IoT systems. To handle such situations, we categorize real-time tasks into fixed tasks and variable tasks, and optimize the resource planning for various workload conditions. Based on this, we initiate the IoT system with the configuration for the fixed tasks, and when variable tasks are activated, we update the resource planning promptly for the situation. Simulation experiments show that the proposed policy saves the processor and memory energy significantly.

  • 최근 다양한 산업 분야에서 사물인터넷(Internet of Things; IoT)에 관련된 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존 네트워크 환경에서와 같이 IoT 또한 다양한 보안 공격으로부터 노출 되어 있으며, 여러 가지 보안 이슈가 존재한다. IoT 환경에서는 디바이스, 플랫폼, 통신프로토콜의 이종성 문제로 인하여 공통의 보안 서비스 제공이 힘들게 되고 이를 해결하기 위하여 상호운용성 제공이 가능한 표준이 필요하게 된다. 본고에서는 다양한 보안 이슈들로부터 안전한 IoT 환경 구축을 위하여, IoT 보안 관련 국내외 표준화 기관를 분석하고, 각 기관에서 제시하고 있는 IoT 보안 관련 표준 및 표준화 동향을 분석하고자 한다.

  • Recently, IoT has been supported by ICT technology with a variety of ICT powers. In May 2014, Information and Communication Strategy Committee announced the 'Basic plan for Internet of Things'. Also on Febuary 24 this SAME year, KISA(Korea Internet&Security Agency) provides many projects related to IoT, such as announcement of 'K-Global Project' for start-up and venture support related to IoT and ICT companies. In contrast to the various services of Internet of Things, when a connection is made between object-to-object or person-to-object wired and wireless networks, security threats have occurred in the process of communication. We analyzed these kinds of security threats related to Internet of things, and gave a consideration for requirement.

  • 모든 사물간의 통신이 이루어지는 사물인터넷(Internet of Things; IoT)의 발전은 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있고, 다양한 기술과 플랫폼이 발전하고 있다. 앞으로의 발전 과정에서 IoT 보안에 관한 기술의 발전은 특히 더욱 중요시 될 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 IoT 환경에서의 프라이버시 보안 위협들에 대해 기술하고, 이 기술들의 실제 사례를 통해 비교하며 대응방안에 대해 기술한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for business process system (BPS) based on the Internet of Things (IoT). As the results of this research the IoT architecture and the business process design are derived. The main findings include the proposed IoT-enabled BPS method, illustrated by the description of the application and its assessment. In addition, the key business processes namely; remote machine monitoring; maintenance of machine; material procurement; product pricing; and information reporting system, are affected by IoT technology. The proposed method of this research could be the reference for the companies which want to have better management performance based on IoT technologies.

  • The era of IoT, which figures exchanging data from the internet between things is coming. Recently, former electric power energy policy paradigm, namely Supply side paradigm, is changing, because electric power energy consumption is rapidly increasing. As new paradigm for this limit, convergence of existing electric power grid and ICT(Information and Communication Technology) will accelerate intellectualization of electric power device, its operation system. This change brought opened electric power grid. Consequently, attacks to the national electric power grid are increasing. On this paper, we will analyze security threats of existing IoT, discuss security weakness on electric power industry IoT and suggest needed security requirements, security technology.

A Study of Research Trend about Internet of Things (사물인터넷(IoT)에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석)

  • This study aims to examine the recent trend of domestic researches on the Internet of Things(IoT) which has drawn a lot of attention in the field of ICT. This meta-analysis analyzes 101 studies published in academic journals from 2010, focusing on research topics, methods and the fields of study. The results show that the research topics of most used studies were related to the technological and industrial issues, and especially in the technical field, the major topic was suggesting new IoT technology. The most research method was testing research followed by the literature review. Even though engineers are holding the mainstream of the IoT technology, some experts in the field of social science release their articles nowadays. These results indicate that the IoT has a great ripple effect both technologically and socioculturally, and researches need to be vitalized in the fields of industry, service, policy and institution as well as technological fields. In addition, the research for the future should extend methodological diversity and take more convergence approaches in a variety of fields.

  • IoT technology was selected as one of IT 10 strategic technologies by gartner from 2013 to 2015, and implements advanced smart society while enabling interaction between people and things. Because IoT devices are connected to the Internet, they are involved in issues including exposure of private lives, for example, hacking to result in wireless signal interference, data theft, data modification and forgery and service denial, and critical security issues including threat to national confidential information and facilities. This study aims to suggest a method for examining threats to security through IP exposure of IoT devices and examining related problems to minimize threats to security through IP exposure including exposure of private lives or damages to the national infrastructure system.
