In this paper, a new method is suggested to analyze impulsive stresses at loading poing of concentrated impact load under certain impact conditions determined by impact velocity, stiffness of plate and mass of impact body, etc. The impulsive stresses are analyzed by using the three dimensional dynamic theory of elasticity so as to analytically clarify the generation phenomenon of cone crack at the impact fracture of fragile materials (to be discussed if the second paper). The Lagrange's plate theory and Hertz's law of contact theory are used for the analysis of impact load, and the approximate equation of impact load is suggested to analyze the impulsive stresses at the impact point to decide the ranage of impact load factor. When impact load factors are over and under 0.263, approximate equations are suggested to be F(t)=Aexp(-Bt)sinCt and F(t)=Aexp(-bt) {1-exp(Ct)} respectively. Also, the inverse Laplace transformation is done by using the F.F.T.(fast fourier transform) algorithm. And in order to clarity the validity of stress analysis method, experiments on strain fluctuation at impact point are performed on a supported square glass plate. Finally, these analytical results are shown to be in close agreement with experimental results.

Active use of images in the same place as the religion according to the height of the screen is determined by the height of the main speakers. This causes the 'sound image mismatch' and 'bass boost' sound like a failure occurs. Front seats are good seats in visual acoustics is a bad place. To minimize these obstacles acoustical speakers to actively apply the front fill needed. Higher sound pressure difference between the main speaker and the distance must be determined in accordance with the appropriate capacity. Actively using the front speakers to the sound image field by implementing the agreement to increase the concentration of sound. The relatively high inflow enhance alto lacking the front seat can be implemented evenly in the frequency response. Column in front of the main seat of the main speakers to supplement the deficiencies can be implemented more comfortable acoustic environment. Front fill speaker needs to be actively introduced, thereby presenting a detailed estimate, is needed.
In recent years there has been a growing interest in total body, hemibody, total lymphoid irradiation. For refractory leukemia or lymphoma patients, various techniques and dose regimens were introduced, including high dose total body irradiation for destruction of leukemic or bone marrow cells and immunosuppression prior to bone marrow transplantation, and low dose total body irradiation for treatment of lymphocytic leukemia or lymphomas. Accurate provision for specified dose and the desired homogeneity are essential before clinical total body irradiation. Purposes of this paper are to discuss calibrating Cobalt Unit in 3m distance using Rando Phantom, to compare calculated dose, calibrated dose, and compensating filters for homogeneous dose distribution in the head and neck, the lung, and the pelvis. Results were following. 1. Measured dose on the lung was 6% higher than on the abdomen. Measured dose on the head (10%) and neck (18%) were higher than the abdomen because of thinness. Pelvic dose was measured 12% less than the abdomen. Those data suggest that compensating filter was essential. 2. Measured dose according to distance was 3% less than calculated dose which suggest that all doses in clinical use should be compared with calculated dose for minimizing error.

Formula acoustic characteristics of the room with a double layer, are compared through simulation and actual measurement. The rear area of the under- balcony speakers will cause a delay difference between the main speaker. In the mid / bass parts do not generate sufficient pressure is lowered and comb-Filtering phenomenon occurs significantly. The lower right area of the under- balcony speakers and speaker distance is the sound pressure of the under- balcony speakers to around 2 ~ 3m bigger than the main speakers and the sound image matches the pulpit is broken. Also, under area is more than 5 ~ 6m from the balcony outside speakers and causes differ by more than 10dB lower than the under- balcony speakers depending on the local laws of Translator wins Well, the main speaker at mid / high frequency sounds do not enter the sound pressure variations will drop by a significant. Appropriate arrangement and the output of the speaker according to the position under the balcony, and output of the main speakers are requested to minimize this problem sound. The proper sound design direction for the under- balcony speakers must be presented in order to improve the lower balcony area more pleasant acoustic environment.
Dose distribution of HDR-RALS source represents an inverse square law as the distance. Difference of measurement value and calculation value according of brachytherapy. Therefore, in HDR-RALS dose calibration and calculation have an important effect in treatment of uterine cervical cancer and absorbed dose of interesting points. In intracavitary therapy, particula attention is paid for precise determination of the doses to be applied. In this report, we have discussed that the calibration of a HDR-RALS, differences between calculation dose use of isodose chart and measurement in rectum. Dose rate calibration of radiation sources are obtained from air kerma and Г factor with calibraed ion chamber for cobalt source. and used semiconductor detector for compared with measurement in phantom. Eighteen patients were treated with a HDR-RALS for intrcavitarty irradiation (ICR) using a cobalt-cesium source. Repoductivity of dose measurements were 0.3 -1.1% in phantom. The means of dose distribution was -6- +21% between calculation of isodose chart and measurement of recyum, and was same mean value upper 6.3% in measurement value than calculation does.
It is known that fixed source to skin distance (SSD) cannot be used when the treatment field is sloped or larger than the size of second collimator in electron beam irradiation and inverse square law using effective ssd should be adopted. Effective SSDs were measured in different field sizes in each 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18MeV electron energy by suing NELAC 1018D linear accelerator of Kosin Medical Center. We found important parmeters of effective SSD. 1. Minimum effective SSD was 58.8cm in small field size of $6\pm6cm$ and maximum effective SSD was 94.9cm in large field size of $25\pm25cm$, with 6MeV energy. It's difference was 36.1cm. The dose rate at measuring point was quite different even with a small difference of SSD in small field $(6\times6cm)$ and low energy (6 MeV). 2. Effective SSD increased with field size in same electron energy. 3. Effective SSDs gradually increased with the electron energies and reached maximum at 12 or 15 MeV electron energy and decreased again at 18MeV electron energy in each identical field size. And so the effective SSD should be measured in each energy and field size for practical radiotherapy.

This study aimed to evaluate and verify a process for correcting the extended source-to-imager distance (SID) in portal dosimetry (PD). In this study, eight treatment plans (four volumetric modulated arc therapy and four intensity-modulated radiation therapy plans) at different treatment sites and beam energies were selected for measurement. A Varian PD system with portal dose image prediction (PDIP) was used for the measurement and verification. To verify the integrity of the plan, independent measurements were performed with the MapCHECK device. The predicted and measured fluence were evaluated using the gamma passing rate. The output ratio was defined as the ratio of the absolute dose of the reference SID (100 cm) to that of each SID (120 cm or 140 cm). The measured fluence for each SID was absolutely and relatively compared. The average SID output ratios were 0.687 and 0.518 for 120 SID and 140 SID, respectively; the ratio showed less than 1% agreement with the calculation obtained by using the inverse square law. The resolution of the acquired EPIDs were 0.336, 0.280, and 0.240 for 100, 120, and 140 SID, respectively. The gamma passing rates with PD and MapCHECK exceeded 98% for all treatment plans and SIDs. When autoalignment was performed in PD, the X-offset showed no change, and the Y-offset decreased with increasing SID. The PD-generated PDIP can be used for extended SID without additional correction.
A practical calculation algorithm which calculates the relative output factor(ROF) for irregular shaped electron field has been developed and evaluated the accuracy of the algorithm. The algorithm adapted two-source model, which assumes that the electron dose can be express as sum of the primary source component and the scattered component from the shielding block. Original two-source model has been modified in order to make the algorithm simpler and to reduce the number of parameters needed in the calculation, while the calculation error remains within clinical tolerance range. The primary source is assumed to have Gaussian distribution, while the scattered component follows the inverse square law. Depth and angular dependency of the primary and the scattered are ignored ROF can be calculated with three parameters such as, the effective source distance, the variance of primary source, and the scattering power of the block. The coefficients are obtained from the square shaped-block measurements and the algorithm is confirmed from the rectangular or irregular shaped-fields used in the clinic. The results showed less than 1.0 % difference between the calculation and measurements for most cases. None of cases which have bigger than 2.1 % have been found. By improving the algorithm for the aperture region which shows the largest error, the algorithm could be practically used in the clinic, since one can acquire the 1011 parameter's with minimum measurements(5∼6 measurements per cones) and generates accurate results within the clinically acceptable range.
Objectives: It is certain that Radioactive iodine thyroid uptake(RAIU) rate should be measured with the standard counts considering the thyroid gland depth in enlarged thyroid patients for the variation from geometric factors. The purpose of this paper is to consider the effects of geometric factors according to detector to source distance and the effective thyroid depth on RAIU rate with experiment test. Materials and Methods: I-131 370 kBq ($10{\mu}Ci$) point source was measured by Captus-3000 thyroid uptake system (Capintec, NJ, USA) with a change Detector-Source Distance from 20 cm to 30 cm at an interval of 1 cm. And we changed the Neck phantom surface-Source Depth in the phantom with 1 cm, 2 cm, 5 cm using the neck phantom in order to reproduce the effective thyroid depth. Results: Every experimental group follows power curve as inverse square curve ($$R2{\geq_-}0.915$$). The average count rates in the case not using a phantom and the every case applied the effective thyroid depth using a phantom was not identical each other. There was significant fluctuations upon the effective thyroid depths applied the effective thyroid depth above 1 cm in $364.4 keV{\pm}10%$ energy ROI (p<0.01). There was not significant difference between the count rates of 1 cm and 2 cm in $364.4keV{\pm}20%$ and $637.1keV{\pm}6.2%$ (p=0.354, p=0.397). In assumed RAIU rate from regression equation, $364.4keV{\pm}20%$ was lower difference than $364.4keV{\pm}10%$ as 6.42% and 5.09% per 1 cm. Every change of count rate upon depth appears decreased line on Linear Regression, but the case of $284.3keV{\pm}10%$ increased only. And also, The graphs of coefficient of variation upon depth increased as straight line on every experimental group. Conclusion: The result appears that application of $364.4keV{\pm}20%$ energy ROI is more suitable for reducing error from the effective thyroid depth. And also, we can estimate the error of 20 cm should be highly reduced than 30 cm for Inverse Square Law. Therefore, If there is not information of the thyroid depth, it is considered that the error from thyroid depth can reduce through set up energy ROIs for $364.4keV{\pm}20%$, and increase Detector-Source Distances.

This is a preliminary study for developing the method of the dose reconstruction in the patients, irradiated by mega-voltage photon beams from the linear accelerator, using the transit dose distributions. In this study we present the method of three-dimensional dose reconstruction and evaluate the method by computer simulation. To acquire the dose distributions in the patients (or phantoms) we first calculate the differences between the doses at the arbitrary points in the patients and the doses at the corresponding points where the transit doses are measured. Then, we can get the dose in the patients from the measured transit dose and the calculated value of the difference. The dose differences are calculated by applying the inverse square law and using the linear attenuation coefficient. The scatter to primary dose ratios, which are calculated by the Monte Carlo program using the CT data of the patient (or phantoms), are also used in the calculations. For the evaluation of this method we used various kinds of homogeneous and inhomogeneous phantoms and calculated the transit dose distributions with the Monte Carlo program. From the distributions we reconstructed the dose distributions in the phantom. We used mono-energy Photon beam of 1.5MeV and Monte Carlo program EGS4. The comparison between the dose distributions reconstructed using the method and the distributions calculated by the Monte Carlo program was done. They agreed within errors of -4%∼+2%. This method can be used to predict the dose distributions in the patient
