One of frequent phenomena in the contemporary cultural field is the alternative or accompanying interweaving phenomena which happens in the relative connection of A, B, and C. The power of interweaving mixture is one of energies which unify the contemporary cultural phenomena, and it appears as a major phenomena in the recent popular digital architecture. In this study, the mixture, shape, and contents in the contemporary space design is analyzed as a point of view of Post-Structuralism. Namely, the digital part and non-digital part of alternative and circulating existence in the space are classified and the interweaving phenomena in the contemporary space design are proved. It is studied for digital part and physical space to conjunct the hole space and smooth space of Deleuze as part of interweaving phenomena. It is clear that the compatible concept of the hole space and smooth space is crossed complexly or is coexisting in circulating and extending, and is showed as interweaving phenomena in one space.

최근 자가 적응 시스템의 개발을 용이하게 하기 위해 적응 관련 요소와 시스템의 행동을 분리한 MADAM, DiVA, Rainbow들이 제안되었다. 하지만 기존의 자가 적응 시스템을 개발하는 방법들은 개발 과정에서 요구사항과 아키텍처간의 상호 영향을 수용하는 체계적인 방법을 제공하지 않는다. 이는 요구사항의 변경이 미치는 영향을 판단하기 어렵고, 개발 과정에서 발생하는 변화에 대해 빠른 대처가 어려우며, 이해관계자들이 시스템에 대해 낮은 이해도를 가지게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문은 SAS의 개발에서 요구사항과 아키텍처 사이의 추적 가능성을 이용한 체계적인 인터위빙 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 요구사항과 아키텍처의 각 구성요소 사이의 관계를 통해 제공되며, 제공된 관계는 요구사항의 변경이 영향을 미치는 요소들을 추적하고, 아키텍처의 구성에 대한 근거를 추적하여 시스템에 대한 이해도를 높여준다. 본 논문은 스마트 그리드에서 적응형 협력 시스템의 개발과 변화 과정을 통해 제안한 방법의 유용성을 보여준다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the ways in which cultural beliefs influence the lifestyles of the residents and environmental activities, especially decorations on the fronts during holiday seasons. The relationship between holiday displays and cultural values are investigated in the study. This research conducts a case study of two ethnic neighborhoods to understand cultural identification, attachments and environmental decoration. The neighborhoods were visited and their activities were observed during the holidays including Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas from 1992 to 1995. Exterior decorations were measured by a field survey of the frontal areas of 200 houses. This study confirms that the fronts are recognized and evaluated as cultural communications. The holiday decorations and celebrations are intimately related to cultural dimensions. Distinctive groups use different environmental elements in the celebration of holidays. Each culture is distinguished by its own rituals constituted by the interweaving of space and activities.

한국의 대표적인 코미디 프로그램인 <개그콘서트>는 기존의 웃음 생성전략인 의미와 비의미 사이의 경계를 가로지는 말장난에서 벗어나, 서사를 통해 웃음을 만드는 방식을 선택하고 있음을 발견했다. 이른 바, 디지털 서사라고도 불리는 서사를 통한 웃음은 시대적 흐름을 치밀하게 반영한 결과로 보인다. 이외에도 디테일을 통한 핍진성의 획득, 세태풍자 리얼리즘, 말 몸 맨몸의 위계구조, 영향력에 대한 갈망 혹은 스타 활용 역시 주요 전략으로 보인다. 이러한 치밀한 리얼리즘적 전략에서 디지털 시대에 부합하는 웃음의 새로운 생성방식이 싹트고 있음을 발견할 수 있다.

The Canadian public broadcaster CBC had successfully aired a sitcom centered on a Korean immigrant family from 2016 to 2021. The show is based on the play Kim's Convenience written by a Korean-Canadian playwright Ins Choi. This study explores literary features of Kim's Convenience that accounts for its popularity; three elements of the show play crucial roles in maintaining the balance between specificity and universality. First, Choi deploys a Korean immigrant story in the form of comedy. Second, the main plot revolves around an ordinary family with generational strains that ends in reconciliation. Third. the Kims are depicted more as an archetypical family than a stereotypically Asian one. By closely interweaving these elements, Choi induces the audience to find commonalities from the show, and racial specificities of the Kim's family become "spicy" attractions of the play.

The last 30 years have seen a rapid growth in the number of supertall buildings across the world, with newly completed buildings continuing to rank among the tallest 100 every year. Chinese projects notably play a pivotal role in these constant updates. It is caused by the interweaving of population and urbanization, economic considerations, and further, a series of accompanying urban problems. This paper focuses on the world's 100 tallest buildings in the last 30 years, and compares this collection of projects across five years via the dimensions of height, distribution, function and structural material. The intention is to discuss and interpret the influence factors and developing trends, some of which have been apparent over a dozen years, while others are just beginning to take shape, thus to provide an opportunity to preview the types of supertall buildings in the future.

영상기호학을 이끌었던 선구자인 메츠는 영화를 일종의 언어로서, 여러 약호들이 상호작용하는 의미화작용의 영역으로 보았다. 그는 영화를 상호 양립할 수 있는 영화적 약호들과 상호 대체적인 하위 약호들의 조합으로 보았으며, 영화의 텍스트는 작용하고 있는 약호들의 목록이 아니라 끊임없는 재구조화와 전치의 작업이라고 간주했다. 본 논문에서는 메츠의 기호학적 입장을 받아들여, 미야자키 하야오의 애니메이션 (센과 치히로의 행방불명)에서 중요하게 나타나는 약호의 흐름을 고찰했다. 전반적으로 (센과...)라는 애니메이션에서는 조명의 약호, 색상의 약호, 움직임의 약호, 작가 주의적 약호들이 특별히 의미 있게 다루어지고 있다. 특히 이 애니메이션 전체에서 강한 상징적 의미를 가지는 다리 신들 중 첫 번째를 골라, 각각의 샷에서 어떠한 하위 약호들이 서로 대립하며 구사되는지를 살펴보았다. 첫 번째 다리 신은 크게 목욕탕(즉, 유바바) 대 치히로(와 하쿠)라는 구도로 이루어져 있다. 목욕탕은 단순한 건물로서가 아니라 아직 등장하지 않은 유바바의 대리인이자 치히로의 대립점으로 기능한다. 각각의 샷에서 프레이밍, 시선, 앵글, 움직임의 약호 내의 모든 하위 약호들은 치히로와 목욕탕의 대조를 극대화시키는 방향으로 구사되고 있으며, 가장 눈에 띄는 약호는 움직임이다. (센과 치히로의 행방불명)에서 각각의 약호 내의 하위 약호들은 끊임없이 경쟁하고 교환되며 캐릭터들 간의 대조를 극대화하고 내러티브를 발전시키는 방향으로 구사되고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 영화는 복수약호적 매체로서 유사언어의 실천이라는 메츠의 말처럼, 이러한 약호와 하위 약호들의 조합과 전치는 언어와 다르지만 유사한 방식으로 관객과 커뮤니케이션하고 있는 것이다.

본고는 화서 이항로가 학문 문로를 통해 정립한 학문관의 실체를 고찰하고, 시세계에 나타난 작법상의 특징을 구명한 것이다. 화서의 시가 그의 학문과 표리를 이룬다는 측면에 집중하여, "화서집"을 통해 화서의 학문관이 정립되는 과정을 추적하고 그의 학문관으로 특정화할 수 있는 개념어를 도출하였으며, 화서의 학문과 사상이 투영된 시를 위주로 하여 작법상의 특징을 고찰하였다. 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 화서는 오서(五書) 오경(五經) 역사서 주자서 "송자대전"을 아우르는 학문 문로를 통해 '지경치신(持敬致愼)'을 근본으로 하는 학문관을 정립하고, '치지(致知)'와 '역행(力行)'을 병행하는 실천적 학문을 추구하였다. 화서의 시는 작법상에서 용사의 구사, 그리고 서사와 의론의 교직(交織)이 두드러진다. 용사에 있어서는 차용과 변용에 머물지 않고 어휘가 갖는 일반적인 함의를 넘어 새로운 의미를 부여하였으며, 더 나아가 조어(造語)를 창출해 내는 경지에 도달하였다. 화서는 역사적 사건과 인물의 행적에 따라 압축적으로 서사를 서술하고 의론을 개진하면서 정서를 표출하였다. 특히 맹자의 '일치일란(一治一亂)'의 역사관에 입각하여 서사와 의론의 교직으로 서술한 시는 화서의 학문과 사상이 집약된 것이자 화서의 문학성을 대표하는 것이라고 평가할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristic of common space of public schools in New York City and how the common space can perform a decisive role in enriching public space not as simply connecting between programs but as common space for a wide range of uses for communities as well as students. This study illustrates with a general design guideline of SCA(School of Construction Authority) and how the rules help the common space as an interactive link between community and site/site and school building/building and outdoor space/outdoor space and lobby in the urban context. Since its founding in New York City, 1958, Mitchell/Giurgola Architects office has dedicated itself to working with institutions and public and private schools for 50 years and has been working with SCA for 10 public schools since 1990. Through five school examples by Mitchell Giurgola architects, the study describes how the office suggests public "place" interweaving inner public space and outer public space through lobbies. A result of this research can be proposed what improvements should be made on common space in domestic schools by analyzing of positive aspects of SCA schools.

On the World Refugee Day in 2017, Yao Chen, a Chinese actress, philanthropist, and social media influencer, posted messages in her Weibo in support of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Yet, social media users quickly interpreted this supportive message of the refugee program as encouraging people to "accept and receive refugees" (jieshou nanmin) into China. Particularly, the category of Middle Eastern refugees elicited most criticism in China's cyberspace. As the inclusion of refugees is an integral part of immigrant multiculturalism, this article examines the limits of multicultural imagination of refugees―particularly those from the Middle Eastern and North Africa―in contemporary China. I argue that the limits of multicultural imagination in contemporary China is profoundly shaped by an intricate interweaving of domestic policies and global imaginaries toward refugees. By deploying a mixed methodology, such limits are examined from legal-institutional, ideological, and sociocultural perspectives. More specifically, three interrelated aspects will be highlighted in the article: (1) the global circulation of right-wing populism imaginaries, and their entanglements with the anti-Muslim sentiments in contemporary China; (2) the current insufficiency of the legal-institutional framework regarding refugees and asylum-seekers, which needs to be contextualized in China's modern history of dealing with refugee issues; (3) population politics, the rise of Han-centric nationalism, and their constraining impact on the interpretation of historical events related to cultural diversity. In conclusion, this article also offers potential implications for further examining the different yet potentially intersected genealogies of multicultural imaginaries beyond the Middle Eastern and North African refugees in Asia.
