  • As mobile device usage time increases thanks to the development of information and communication alongside the increase in the spread of smartphones, mobile shopping has become a common trend. While mobile shopping has the advantage of saving both time and money, it may also result in dissatisfaction with product differences after purchase. For online clothing shopping malls, in particular, if the size does not match after purchase, it is difficult for customers to return or exchange the goods. To address this problem, some mobile apparel shipping malls offer a virtual fitting service and a size comparison function; however, the number of such malls remains low. In this paper, a usability evaluation was performed on a mobile apparel shopping mall that provides a size comparison function. The three apps selected for evaluation have different size input methods, and a slightly different method of providing results after comparing the user's dimensions with the dimensions of the clothes to be purchased. In this paper, the evaluators were asked to select clothes at the shopping mall and perform the task of deciding the size of the clothes to be purchased through their own measurements and comparison while also evaluating the effectiveness, meaning, and satisfaction of the apps. Based on the analysis of the results, this paper aims to produce an improvement plan and help design the size comparison UI (User Interface) in the future.

This article examines the characteristics of return behavior through return experiences of internet clothing purchases. For an empirical study, questionnaires were handed out to 317 undergraduate male and female students, in which the results had been used for data analysis. Data were analyzed through SPSS 12.0 software, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, ANDVA analysis, Duncan test, and $x^2-test$. The results are the following: The analysis of consumers' return factor for clothes in Internet shopping showed there are five factors: product and quality, delivery, impulse buying, change of mind, and service. There is a significant difference in product quality of return factors depending on the availability of the return experience. Thus, consumers with return experience showed more return tendency owing to product quality factor than consumers without return experience. The availability of consumer's return experience was significantly related to information search. Consumers with return experience showed more consistent information search than consumers without return experience. There were significant differences in perceived risks depending on the availability and degree of consumer's return experience. In other words, consumers with return experience perceived more account related risk than consumers without return experience. Moreover, the more return experience the consumer has, the more risks consumers perceived in product performance.

  • The purpose of this study was first, to clarify the clothing benefits that Uzbek female college students seek through clothing products; and second, to determine whether there is a difference in clothing involvement and clothing purchasing behavior according to the type of clothing benefits. Data were collected from 290 female university students from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and analyzed using factor analysis, K-means group classification analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, χ2-test, and frequency analysis. Respondents were classified into four types according to their clothing benefits: individuality/economy-pursuit, comfort-pursuit, fashion/brand-pursuit, and indifference. Significant differences were identified in terms of clothing involvement, information sources, clothing evaluation criteria, clothing store attributes, clothing wearing conditions (including monthly clothing expenses), number of purchases per year, clothing purchase location, clothing preference style, and clothing dissatisfaction. The fashion/brand-pursuit and personality/economy-pursuit types were influenced more by fashion and symbolism of clothing involvement, information sources, clothing evaluation criteria, and clothing store attributes. The individuality/economy-pursuit type purchased more frequently, spent more monthly clothing expenses, and used the internet. Clothing store attributes were considered more important by female students than the other attributes. In these results, clothing benefits were identified as consumer characteristics of female Uzbek college students and market segmentation was determined. In addition, it is meaningful in providing basic data for efficient marketing activities and minimizing trials and errors in establishing local-friendly strategies for target customers in different cultures.
