What is meaning of internet game to the University students?

  • Objectives : The objective of this study is to examine the experiences of Internet game experience targeting to University students in Korea. Research topics was "What is meaning of internet game to the University students?" Methods : Classical phenomenology underpinned this study. Seven qualitative studies of University students were conducted between 20 and 23 years old. Semi-structured interviews were conducted. Interviews were audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. Phenomenological thematic analysis of data was undertaken. Results : The findings pivot around three interconnected themes :[Expectations for the emotional needs], [Spend time in the cyberspace], [Relieve stress throughout the game], [Instead of satisfaction from virtual reality], [Internet gaming repeat and desires]. The basic need for getting into internet game was [satisfaction from virtual reality was identified]. While internet games was eliminated stress, [Expectations for the emotional needs] and [Spend time in the cyberspace] were the catalyst that makes them repeatedly getting into Internet the game. Based on the result, I suggest that Internet gaming should be recognized as a tool to relieve stress for college students, But it is not satisfied with the reality in virtual space. Therefore, the strategy must be to recognize reality accompanying. And Using a lot of time in cyberspace make them cause of internet game addiction. Therefore, it requires a systematic strategy for the Internet using time limits. Also the emotional needs met were motivated to repeat an Internet game. So another way to meet the emotional needs to college students should be sought.

오버레이 멀티캐스트에서의 트래픽 에이전트에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Traffic Agent for Overlay Multicast)

  • 최근 멀티미디어 데이터를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이 중에서 인터넷 방송은 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 인터넷을 통해 동시에 많은 고객들에 전송하는 기술이다. 인터넷 방송과 같은 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송하기 위해서는 효율적인 데이터 전송방법이 필요하다. 일대일 전송방법인 유니캐스트 방식의 단점을 극복하고 멀티캐스트 방식의 대안으로 응용계층 멀티캐스트 애플리케이션(application)인 오버레이 멀티캐스트(overlay multicast) 방식에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷의 망 환경이나 물리적인 개선의 필요 없이 응용 프로그램만으로 구현이 가능한 오버레이 멀티캐스트에서의 트래픽 에이전트 시스템에 관해 분류하고 고찰하였다.

  • 본 논문은 HSDPA 무선망에 접속하여 WiFi 단말에게 무선 인터넷 서비스 제공이 가능한 HSDPA-CPE 시스템 구현에 관한 것이다. 이 시스템은 상향 인터페이스로 HSDPA를 지원하며 하향 인터페이스로 WiFi 및 100Mbps 이더넷 인터페이스를 지원하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 시스템은 지하철, 자동차, 선박 등에서 다수의 인터넷서비스 가입자에게 WiFi 단말을 이용하여 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, HSDPA에 가입한 Wi-Fi 단말들이 인터넷에 접속할 수 있다.

  • As an acronym for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, SCADA is a concept that is used to refer to the management and procurement of data that can be used in developing process management criteria. The use of the term SCADA varies, depending on location. Conventionally, SCADA is connected only in a limited private network. In current times, there are also demands of connecting SCADA through the internet. The internet SCADA facility has brought a lot of advantages in terms of control, data generation and viewing. With these advantages, come the security issues regarding web SCADA. In this paper, we discuss web SCADA and its connectivity along with the issues regarding security and suggests a web SCADA security solution using asymmetric-key encryption.

Effective Broadcasting and Caching Technique for Video on Demand over Wireless Network

  • Video on Demand (VOD) is a multimedia service which allows a remote user to select and then view video at his convenience at any time he wants, which makes the VOD become an important technology for many applications. Numerous periodic VOD broadcasting protocols have been proposed to support a large number of receivers. Broadcasting is an efficient transmission scheme to provide on-demand service for very popular movies. This paper proposes a new broadcasting scheme called Popularity Cushion Staggered Broadcasting (PCSB). The proposed scheme improves the Periodic Broadcasting (PB) protocols in the latest mobile VOD system, which is called MobiVoD system. It also, reduces the maximum waiting time of the mobile node, by partitioning the $1^{st}$ segment of the whole video and storing it in the Local Media Forwarder (LMF) exactly in the Pool of RAM (PoR), and then transmitting them when the mobile nodes miss the $1^{st}$ broadcasted segment. The results show that the PCSB is more efficient and better than the all types of broadcasting and caching techniques in the MobiVoD system. Furthermore, these results exhibits that system performance is stable under high dynamics of the system and the viewer's waiting time are less than the previous system.

Design and Implementation of Intelligent IP Switch with Packet FEC for Ensuring Reliability of ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Streams

  • The terrestrial ATSC 3.0 broadcasting system, which is capable of converging broadcast and communication services, uses IP based technology for data transmission between broadcasting equipment. In addition, data transmission between broadcasting equipment uses IP-based technology like existing wired communication network, which has advantageous in terms of equipment construction and maintenance In case IP based data transmission technology is used, however, it may inevitably cause an error that a packet is lost during transmission depending on the network environments. In order to cope with a broadcasting accident caused by such a transmission error or a malfunction of a broadcasting apparatus, a broadcasting system is generally configured as a duplication, which can transmit a normal packet when various types of error may occur. By this reason, correction method of error packets and intelligent switching technology are essential. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a design and implementation of intelligent IP switch for Ensuring Reliability of ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Streams. The proposed intelligent IP consists of IP Stream Analysis Module, ALP Stream Analysis Module, STL Stream Analysis Module and SMPTE 2022-1 based FEC Encoding/Decoding Module.

  • Shipping related services is attracting attention as a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) application with the recent economy has been generally accepted drones. UAV of the existing military-driven logistics delivery, aerial photography, wireless Internet connection, broadcasting, disaster research, digital maps, transportation, advertising, meteorological, border surveillance, agricultural use, such as hobbies range of uses from up military are diverse and growing. The advantage of delivery drones seems to be an important feature of delivery of the goods, including labor-saving, long-distance transportation in cold weather. UAV is demanded by competitive performance development for commercialization. Privacy issues that may arise during the drone operation, ensuring marketability issues, control system, regulations, operational standards and specifications, etc. should be addressed. Development direction of Korea UAV based in current technology, regulation, and growth potential presented by deriving from the idea of 'GIF 2016 Gang-won Hackathon.

  • Advances of the computer system and the high-speed network have made it possible to popularize the multimedia services among various applications in the internet. In addition, the number of the users and the kinds of multimedia services have been increasing day by day. Thus, this paper presents an internet live-broadcasting server system to accelerate these trends. The developed system facilitates creating or joining the broadcasting with just such basic components as PC camera and sound card.   • 방송 서비스 고도화를 위한 활성화 방안 연구의 주요사항과 필요성은 3분야의 카타코리를 통해 고찰되었으며 이러한 방안의 대안으로서 단순결합을 벋어난 융합의 서비스가 확립되고 있는 현실에서 방송환경 서비스 고도화의 작업으로 개념적 3단계 제안과 아울러 수요자 고도화 등의 구체적인 제안으로, 박물관 체험과 유적지 답사 등의 실시간 서비스, 기술 개발 모델 TV 수신기 및 정보 모니터를 생산, 개별적 자아개발 퍼스널 방송 통신 융합 프로그램 개발 등과 같은 내용 제안이 이루어졌다. 연구 방식은 방송 서비스 고도화 지원 사업의 전반적 내용의 연구를 통해 그 특성과 방향을 진단하고 활성화 방안을 위한 서비스 환경 개선을 위해 제안이 이루어졌으며 방송시스템 고도화를 위한 기술적 program적인 부분에서의 대 내외 서비스 고도를 위한 기대효과도 예측해 보았다. 단계별 주요단계수립 제안을 통해 수요자 및 방송 환경의 고도화의 중장기적 계획 진행이 이루어져야 한다는 내용이 결론으로 제안 되었고, 이것은 향후에도 더욱 구체적 단계의 계획 설계가 심도 있게 연구가 진행될 분야로서 남아있다.
