In this paper, we propose an software architecture for home network gateway set-top-box that supports the connectivity between various consumer devices and the Internet simultaneously. To improve the scalability of the software, the proposed architecture uses the abstracted protocol driving structure, and to enhance the user-friendliness, the unified device access and management user interface is implemented using web technology. A prototype for the proposed architecture is implemented for evaluating the usability under the home network test bed.

To be survived and prosperous in this rigorous competition era for the nation with insufficient natural resources like us, we must create idea for additive products no matter small or large scale utilizing our knowledge. This is to show a small example of value creation in connection with ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) POTS Splitter from developing to successful commercializing, which the ADSL system is booming up these days for high speed Internet connectivity.

The IPv4 addressing scheme, which was proposed by IETF in 1981, provides 4.3 billion unique 32-bit IP addresses but has been fully exhausted in Feb, 2011. This exhaustion of unique IP addresses poses significant challenges to the addition of new devices to the Internet as well as offering new services. Internet of Things, which provides interconnected uniquely identifiable devices in the existing Internet infrastructure, will be greatly affected by the lack of unique IP addresses. In order to connect to the existing Internet infrastructure, every new device needs a uniquely identified IP address for communication. It has been estimated that by the year 2020 more than 30 billion devices would be connected to the Internet. In order to meet the challenge of such vast requirement of unique IP addresses, the devices in IoT will have to adopt IPv6, which is the latest version of Internet Protocol. IPv6 uses 128-bit IP addresses and offers 2128 unique IP addresses. Therefore, it expands IPv4 and provides new features of end to end connections as well as new services. In this paper, the various challenges with respect to providing connectivity, security, mobility, etc., have been discussed and how IPv6 helps in meeting those challenges.

Recently, the applications of Internet of Things (IoTs) are growing rapidly. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) becomes an emerging technology to provide the low power wireless connectivity for IoTs. The IPv6 over low-power wireless personal area networks (6LoWPAN) has been proposed by IETF, which gives each WSN device an IPv6 address to connect with the Internet. The transmission congestion in IoTs could be a problem when a large numbers of sensors are deployed in the field. Therefore, it is important to consider whether the WSN devices have be completely integrated into the Internet with proper quality of service (QoS) requirements. The Software Defined Network (SDN) is a new architecture of network decoupling the data and control planes, and using the logical centralized control to manage the forwarding issues in large-scale networks. In this research, the SDN-based 6LoWPAN Border Router (6LBR) is proposed to integrate the transmission from WSNs to Internet. The proposed SDN-based 6LBR communicating between WSNs and the Internet will bring forward the requirements of end-to-end QoS with bandwidth guarantee. Based on our experimental results, we have observed that the selected 6LoWPAN traffic flows achieve lower packet loss rate in the Internet. Therefore, the 6LoWPAN traffic flows classified by SDN-based 6LBR can be reserved for the required bandwidth in the Internet to meet the QoS requirements.
For tourism, Information Technology (IT) is the one of the most important factors, therefore, tourism has been open to IT. Through internet, the sources of information became extensive. Smartphone and Social Network Service (SNS) make huge changes in tourism. In line with this, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is developing the smart tourism system, composed of internet, smartphone, SNS, as representative of Korea tourism. In this research, KTO's main channels, internet, smartphone, SNS, of smart tourism system will be analyzed as well as the connectivity between the channels.

As the Internet has grown, energy consumption and GHG emission from internet use have become issues in recent years. On the other hand, such interest in greening the Internet has focused on edge devices, and there is a lack of deeper related studies of the energy wasted by excessive network-connectivity and the savings potential in wired network equipment. This study presents the background and reasonability of studies on the energy efficiency of wired networks in terms of the environment, economy and energy resources. The energy consumption and savings potential of network equipment were also estimated and the major factors of energy consumption was analyzed based on the data, and future studies for the Internet are presented.

IOT has evolved from the internet for human oriented, therefore our life is more advanced growth smartly. IoT is the network of physical objects or things embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity to enable it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with the manufacturer, operator or other connected devices. Until now many researches have been studied for centering keyword for detecting emerging technology of future and scientometric analysis among the papers. This paper propose searching method of emerging technology for the IOT (internet of things) and smart device which are recently interesting area via dynamic analysis for keyword mapping.

The objectives of this paper were to review the difference between the analog and digital age, and to suggest new communication strategies for Agricultural Extension Service Centers in the digital age. Literature review and discussion on the information age and its supporting technologies, such as the Internet and other digital tools, has enabled communication to occur during time periods and in locations based upon individual needs. With increasing number of internet subscribers using email and the world wide web, the internet is now considered a new mass media for communication, and may soon consider such electronic connectivity as essential in agricultural extension services. Communication strategies in the future should recognize and adapt to the changing needs farmers and extension educators in the information age. Utilization of internet technology and digital tools in communication may attract and retain farmers and extension educators in the future, thus. some of new strategies for communication in agricultural extension services should include the following; 1) traditional linear model should be change into interactive model in communication. 2) Agricultural extension service should include creative role with diffusion process. 3) Agricultural extension service should establish new receiver paradigm and form new partnership with farmer.

Driven by security and real-time demands of Internet of Things (IoT), the timing of fog computing and edge computing have gradually come into place. Gateways bear more nearby computing, storage, analysis and as an intelligent broker of the whole computing lifecycle in between local devices and the remote cloud. In fog computing, the edge broker requires X-aware capabilities that combines software programmability, stream processing, hardware optimization and various connectivity to deal with such as security, data abstraction, network latency, service classification and workload allocation strategy. The prosperous of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) pushes the possibility of gateway capabilities further landed. In this paper, we propose a software-defined gateway (SDG) scheme for fog computing paradigm termed as Fog Computing Zero-Knowledge Gateway that strengthens data protection and resilience merits designed for industrial internet of things or highly privacy concerned hybrid cloud scenarios. It is a proxy for fog nodes and able to integrate with existing commodity gateways. The contribution is that it converts Privacy-Enhancing Technologies rules into provable statements without knowing original sensitive data and guarantees privacy rules applied to the sensitive data before being propagated while preventing potential leakage threats. Some logical functions can be offloaded to any programmable micro-controller embedded to achieve higher computing efficiency.
