  • Secondary damage to the user is a problem in biometrics. A brain-wave has no shape and a malicious user may not cause secondary damage to a user. However, if user sends brain-wave signals to an authentication system using a network, a malicious user could easily capture the brain-wave signals. Then, the malicious user could access the authentication system using the captured brain-wave signals. In addition, the dataset containing the brain-wave signals is large and the transfer time is long. However, user authentication requires a real-time processing, and an encryption scheme on brain-wave signals is necessary. In this paper, we propose an efficient encryption scheme using a chaos map and adaptive junk data on the brain-wave signals for user authentication. As a result, the encrypted brain-wave signals are produced and the processing time for authentication is reasonable in real-time.

  • As the technology developed, the system is being developed as the structure that is adapted to the intelligent environment. Therefore, the existing situation information system couldn't provide satisfactory service to the user as it provides service only by the information which it received from the sensor. This paper analyzed the problems of the existing user intention awareness system and suggested user intention awareness system to provide a stable and efficient service that fits to the intention of the user compensating this. This paper has collected the behavior data based on the scenario of the sequential behavior course of the user that occurs at breakfast time in the kitchen which is the home domain environment thai is closely related to our lives. This scenario course also showed the flow that the goal intentional user intention awareness system acted that it suggested, and showed the sequential course processing the user behavior data by tables and charts.

  • With the advancement of Internet technology, online sales and purchases of products have become active. Along with this, the importance of user reviews is also being highlighted. Although user reviews are actively utilized for product sales and purchases, it is difficult to quickly and easily obtain useful information due to the abundance of user reviews. Therefore, prioritizing user reviews is a necessary service for customers that requires careful consideration. Metadata, which contains important information, can be effectively used to prioritize user reviews. However, it is crucial to select and use metadata appropriately according to the purpose. Lean Startup proposes a strategy of repeatedly correcting the problems of ideas or making early transitions to continue trying different approaches. In this paper, we propose a three-step method applying the Lean Startup process to analyze ways to prioritize user reviews using metadata: Build Priority, Measure Priority, Learn Priority.

  • In this paper, we propose a prototype of the SpeechWeb application using the information selection agent. We describe its design and implementation method and illustrated the processing results with the aid of some screenshots. Proposed SpeechWeb application presents the associated contents to the user by the aid of dynamic voice-anchors. These contents are presented using the apriori algorithm, which is one of data mining techniques. The application is better than the existing user-initiative structure from the viewpoint of making the user's interesting induction. Moreover, we believe that our proposed application is effective in information retrieval through wired and wireless telephone networks.

  • The purpose of the present study is to empirically and theoretically assess the logistics information systems (LIS) success in a quasi-voluntary IS use context. It is important to understand what factors impact the successful use of LIS. The research model is basically based on the framework of IS success proposed by DeLone & McLean(1992) and Seddon(1997). Structural modeling techniques were applied to data collected by questionnaire from 203 LIS users. The results show that user satisfaction play a significant role in influencing the system dependency. The results also revealed that user characteristics is directly affected by perceived usefulness, system quality and information quality, and indirectly influenced by user characteristics.

  • The current research utilized as its target population who are current employees of innovative manufacturing enterprise medium to large-sized companies in Korea. The research validated the innovative dimensions by studying the two constructs within the context of the innovative manufacturing enterprise user population. Correlation was found between innovative dimensions retained as components of a Comprehensive Model. It was determined that these four dimensions-Content, Intrinsic Interest, Control, and Timeliness-are significant predictors of user success. The Comprehensive Model was validated, and it is therefore suggested as a basis for further study of user success indicators in the innovative manufacturing enterprise environment.

  • This study analyzed the effect of degree of using online trade process services provided by e-Trade companies on the degree of user satisfaction and the online export performance in Korean small and medium-sized exporting firms(SMEs). According to the empirical survey results based on 130 sample firms, there were positive relationship among the frequency of using e-Trade companies' services, the degree of user satisfaction and the online export performance. Furthermore, the results of the moderated regression analysis showed that there were significant moderation effect of the organizational characteristics on the relationships between the degree of user satisfaction and the SMEs' online export performances. This study provides several useful implications to Korean SMEs, e-Trade companies and government policy makers.

  • Vessel PMS (Planned Maintenance System) is a paper and/or software based system to monitor vessel engine equipment including main propulsion, steering, auxiliary machinery and cargo handling information. This is one of mandatory survey for vessel introduced by IMO (International Maritime Organization). The planned maintenance as well as documentation must be performed according to a system to be approved by classification agencies. Recently, vessel owners have preferred software based systems to collect and preserve accurate data. However, not ship specific and not taking into account the user are said by end users as operational difficulties. To relieve these concerns, this research analyzes vessel PMS data, suggests a middleware to support automatic collection and design consideration of user interface.

  • The aim of this study is to formulate a trust-based business model of Internet services in so called the "trust economy." For it, firstly concepts of trust and trust economy are discussed. Then, we present previous literatures' review of trust in social science prism and trust economy in economic prism. This study classified the literatures' stances with two viewpoints of the 'system' and the 'user'. With this backdrop, we discuss three contradictory stances: Internal optimization vs. external interaction, personal data control vs. orchestration, and end-user vs. ecosystem value. In the result, we formulate a trust-based business model framework with three trust issues in user perspective and suggests three strategic directions related three issues along with representative use cases.

  • Recently, correlated superposition coding (CSC) has been proposed to implement non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) without successive interference cancellation (SIC), without loss of spectral efficiency, in contrast to conventional independent superposition coding (ISC). However, correlation between signals has reduced the average total allocated power, which results in degraded performance. Thus, in order to avoid the reduction of the average total allocated power owing to correlation between signals, this paper proposes a cross-correlated quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) NOMA scheme under Rayleigh fading channel surroundings. First, we design the cross-correlated QAM NOMA scheme. Then, simulations demonstrate that for the weaker channel gain's user, the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the proposed cross-correlated QAM NOMA improves largely, whereas for the stronger channel gain's user, the SER performance of the proposed cross-correlated QAM CSM NOMA degrades little, compared to that of the conventional QAM NOMA.
