Slurry wear with sand particles in rivers is a serious problem for pump operation. Therefore, a technique to predict wear volume loss is required for selecting wear resistant materials and determining specifications for the maintenance period. This paper reports a method for predicting the wear depth distribution on the blade of an impeller. Slurry wear tests of an aluminum pump impeller were conducted. Prediction results of wear depth distribution approximately correspond with the results of slurry wear tests. This technique is useful for industrial application.

The soil contamination by heavy metals in playgrounds of kindergartens in Vilnius city is analysed in this article. The aim of this research is to investigate and evaluate soil contamination by heavy metals in playgrounds of kindergartens in different territories of Vilnius city. Concentrations of heavy metals were measured using Thermo Fisher Scientific Niton$^{(R)}$ XL2 X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. Maximum allowable and background concentrations that are given in Lithuanian hygiene standard and Lithuania geochemical atlas are used to compare and evaluate concentrations of heavy metals. Concentrations of heavy metals and their spatial distribution were analysed in order to exclude the most contaminated areas relating with different functional areas of the city. Geo-statistical analysis and maps of spatial distribution were developed using IDW interpolator in ArcMap software. Detail soil surveys helps to assess the extent of anthropogenic impact in different parts of the city which can be harmful to the soil ecosystem and human health. Such researches can help to change or select different function for city areas in territorial planning process.

The viscoelastic layer material is widely used to control the noise and vibration characteristics of the panel structure. This paper describes the design technology of the effective vibration damping treatment using the concept of the equivalent parameter of viscoelastic layer materials. Applying the equivalent parameter concepts based on theories of shell, it is possible to simulate the finite element analysis of damping layer panel treatments on the vibration characteristics of the structure. And it is achieved the reduced computational cost and the optimal design of topological distribution for the reduction of vibration effect.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify international students' use of university health centers by individual characteristics and seasons. Methods: This was a retrospective descriptive study using data obtained from the electronic record system of one university health center. The study participants were international undergraduate students who registered for any of two semesters between March 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015 and visited the university health center during their registration period. Results: The most common reasons for visits were problems of head, eye, nose and throat systems, followed by respiratory system. Their visits mostly occurred in the fall and spring. The most frequently used services were distribution of oral medication followed by wound treatment. The number of visits per individual was statistically different by gender (u=-3.307, p=.001), but not by their major (${\chi}^2$=.543, p=0.762) or nationality (${\chi}^2$=5.518, p=.271). Conclusion: Further study is necessary to better define health needs and related factors for this unique population. The electronic record system provides great opportunities in development and application of need based health services for international students and for research in this area.

It is true that traditional markets have become a great foundation for changes in today's production and distribution. However, with the development of science and information communication gradually, the perspective of distribution has been newly developed. In particular, the digital economy system and the pursuit of perfect competition in the global era have placed a great burden on the traditional market. Accordingly, the government has made numerous efforts to revitalize traditional markets, which has led to the present day. However, the change in production, distribution, and transactional perspectives of newly introduced e-commerce in the position of not being able to deviate from the characteristics of the traditional market, that is, the traditional market, poses another major crisis. Therefore, while maintaining the tradition of the traditional market, the introduction of a new method of electronic trading has a good advantage to become an advanced market, but it has not pursued major changes due to fundamental management methods and small-scale operation. Therefore, I believe that it is urgent to introduce and apply new e-commerce to secure transitional competitiveness in order for the traditional market to be reborn and to pursue change and development into a new advanced market.

The researches of the emotions are currently great interest in speech processing as well as in human-machine interaction domain. In the recent years, more and more of researches relating to emotion synthesis or emotion recognition are developed for the different purposes. Each approach uses its methods and its various parameters measured on the speech signal. In this paper, we proposed using a short-time parameter: MFCC coefficients (Mel­Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients) and a simple but efficient classifying method: Vector Quantification (VQ) for speaker-dependent emotion recognition. Many other features: energy, pitch, zero crossing, phonetic rate, LPC... and their derivatives are also tested and combined with MFCC coefficients in order to find the best combination. The other models: GMM and HMM (Discrete and Continuous Hidden Markov Model) are studied as well in the hope that the usage of continuous distribution and the temporal behaviour of this set of features will improve the quality of emotion recognition. The maximum accuracy recognizing five different emotions exceeds $88\%$ by using only MFCC coefficients with VQ model. This is a simple but efficient approach, the result is even much better than those obtained with the same database in human evaluation by listening and judging without returning permission nor comparison between sentences [8]; And this result is positively comparable with the other approaches.

Purpose - The multicultural society is a society where a variety of ethnic groups and cultures co-exist. Regarding Korean multicultural society, the public interest in the multicultural society and its problems are on a growing trend due to the increasing number of the multicultural families by international marriage and the foreign immigrant workers. Research design, data, and methodology - Models of the multicultural society policies have been divided into those of assimilation and multiculturalism, while they have been materialized into the models of discriminative exclusivism, assimilation and multiculturalism. Most countries are aiming at the model of either the multiculturalism or the assimilation focused on national managerial situations. Results - In the case of Europe where the multicultural society had been formed earlier than Korea, Islamic immigrants have been politically accepted in order for Europe to overcome the problem of population decrease caused by its low birth-rate. Also, in the case of the United States. Conclusions - Korean multicultural society policies are characterized mostly by supporting the multicultural families of international marriage. In this study, it is intended to present the characteristics of diversified immigrants and the possible directions of the polices on immigrant youth in accordance with each country's managerial policy.

This study analyzes and compares the roles and significance of large firms in economic growth by differentiating developmental stages. The focus is on both the role of big businesses on the road from middle- to high-income countries and the performance in their economies. By classifying the top 30 nonfinancial firms into their origin countries, we have constructed a country-level data basis covering 33 countries ranging from middle- to high-income economies for the 2001 to 2017 period. We conduct fixed effect estimation. Empirical results show that capital-intensive big businesses would be more predominant in developed economies. In terms of policy implications, the results suggest that if policymakers want to optimize the role of big businesses in economic growth, policymakers need to distinguish the income level. Policymakers also need to adjust the size distribution of firms moderately ahead of time to create the size distribution of firms needed to take the economy to the next level.

As the standards organization under ISO responsible for the development of all international financial services standards, ISO/TC 68 plays a key role in the development and adoption of new technologies in the banking, brokerage and insurance industries. In this paper many of its current work projects are introduced for developing ecommerce standards. We need to discuss the recommendations on XML conversion with ISO and other international standard organizations. Each country try to adopt the international standards even though domestic technical standards and barriers. To solve this problem of interworking between these standards, harmonization activities are nedded. For development and distribution of electronic documents to be conformed to international standards, it is enough to have the role of international activities continue to supply part of the domestic industry and the trends in participation and international standard.Our principal focus is on facilitating national and international trade, through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and information flows, and so contributing to the growth of global commerce.

Purpose - This study investigated the development process of the Chinese distribution industry and analyzed the current status of China's offline and online distribution industries under the development process of the Chinese distribution industry. In addition, the current status of offline distributors in China and representative companies were analyzed as case studies. Research design, data, and methodology - This study analyzed the overall environment of the Chinese distribution industry by using literature data. Then, this study conducted a case analysis using RT Mart and Jingdong, major companies in the distribution industry. Result -The main research results of this study show that the Chinese distribution market has already matured, and retailers are fiercely competing to secure sales and operating profits through various methods such as finding new management methods, improving awareness and customer loyalty by expanding the number of stores. Conclusion -Recently, the characteristic of China's distribution industry is that the boundaries of distribution are breaking down. Chinese retailers are taking strategies to expand the scope of services by erasing the boundaries of distribution. In other words, distribution companies are promoting a borderless distribution strategy in which consumers purchase products online and offline without restrictions on time and space. In addition, small stores in residential areas are on the rise compared to large-scale stores in the city center. The existing distribution industry operates various types of distribution stores to prepare for the post-COVID-19 crisis.
