  • Effects of calcium on the total tuber yield, dry matter content, internal brown spot and hollow heart of a processing potato cv. Atlantic were investigated to obtain some basic informations in summer cropping. The occurrence rate of the internal brown spots in cv. Atlantic tubers were highly decreased with the significant differences in the Ca-treated plots compared to the Ca-nontreated plots. However, no significant differences amongs Ca-treated plots were shown. Plant height and the number of main stems were not affected by the changes of the calcium levels, but top fresh weight was the highest in the plots of Ca(200kg/ha) level. In addition to its total yield, dry matter content, hollow heart was not affected by calcium fertilization. Therefore, the causal factor of the internal brown spot is attributed to the calcium deficiency in the tubers of cv. Atlantic.

  • This study involves investigating the correlation between variation of internal structure and heating temperature of alkali-activated fire protection materials using fly ash. Dehydration and micro crack thermal expansion occur in cement hydrates of cementitious materials heated by fire. Internal structure difference due to both the dehydration of cement hydrates and pore solution causes and influences changes in the properties of materials. Also, this study is concerned with change in microstructure and dehydration of the alkali-activated fire protection materials at high temperatures. The testing methods of alkali-activated fire protection materials in high temperature properties are make use of TG-DSC and mercury intrusion porosimetry measurements. The study results show that the alkali-activated fire resistant finishing material composed of potassium hydroxide, sodium silicate and fly ash has the high temperature thermal stability. These thermal stability is caused by the ceramic binding capacity induced by alkali activation reaction.

  • Regarding physical absorption mechanism for fine particles(Dust), internal pore-bridging is a major parameter in porous media. In this paper, internal bridging pore system is invented through FA-based geopolymer and incorporated PLA (Polylactic Acid) fiber with biodegradability. With various mix proportions, compressive strength over 20MPa is obtained but PLA is little dissolved in the condition of NaOH 5mole and $30^{\circ}C$ of temperature, which was found that temperature rising accelerates PLA solubility. Within 24hours, beads type PLA is completely dissolved under $90{\sim}130^{\circ}C$ and NaOH 5~12mole of alkali. In room condition, geo-polymerization is limitedly occurs so that the internal pore after PLA dissolution is thought to be effective to absorption and storage of fine particles.

  • The Purpose of this study was the development of scale to measure the Perceived Adequacy of Resources(PAR). A 38-item instrument was analysed with responses form 300 wives dwelling in Seoul. PAR was categorized housing, health, time money, interpersonal, knowledge/skills, community resources, Data were analysed by the method of Pearson's Correlation, Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression. Items were loaded eight resource categories such as time housing, money , health, knowledge, social support, community, psychological relationship. Internal consistency of the scale was high(Cronbach's α=.85) The result proposed PAR constructed 28 items.

  • In this empirical study, we try to find major factors influencing the selection of technology acquisition strategy, and to examine the relation between technology acquisition strategies and corporate performances. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, it is required to make intrinsic efforts for the harmony of technology acquisition strategies, which guarantees the effective acquirement of new technology. Secondly, we should pay particular attention to the harmony of external and internal resources for the corporate growth, Finally, the development of new technology is to be made on the basis of technology acquisition strategy established in terms of resources.

  • Internal defects such as browning of the flesh and blackening and rot of the ovary of pear can be easily developed because of the inadequate environmental conditions during the storage and distribution of fruit. The quality assurance system for the agricultural product is to be settled in Korea. All defected agricultural products should be excluded prior to the distribution to enhance the commercial values. However, early stage on-line defect detection of agricultural product is very difficult and even more difficult in a case of the internal defects. The goal of this research is to develop a system that can detect and classify internal defects of agricultural produce on-line using VIS/NIR transmittance spectroscopy. And Shingo pear, which is one of the famous species of Korean pear, was used for the experiment. Soft independence modeling of class analogy (SIMCA) algorithm was employed to analyze the transmittance spectroscopic data qualitatively. On-line classification system was constructed and classification model was developed and validated. As a result, the correct classification rate (CCR) using the developed classification model was 96.1 %.

  • Purpose : This study aims to assess the impact of the emotional labor on female dental clinic employees' intention to leave, and the moderating effect of internal marketing, reducing the intention to leave and providing basic data for an effective human resources management of dental clinics. Methods : The structured self-administered questionnaires were distributed to dental hygienists, dental assistants and other employees (including administrative staff and dental coordinators, but excluding dentists) working at a dental hospital and at dental clinics in the Busan and Gyeongnam area. This study used SPSS Windows version 18.0 program (Chicago, IL, USA) to perform frequency factor, reliability, correlation, and hierarchical regression analyses were performed using SPSS. Results : First, emotional labor had a positive effect on the intention to leave. Two components of the internal marketing, communication and employee welfare system, had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between employees' emotional labor and their intention to leave, while the education/training component of the internal marketing showed no moderating effect. Conclusion : Enhancement of communication and the employee welfare system will help dental care organizations reduce their employees' emotional labor and hence employees' turnover.

  • During an investigation of fungi of the order Mucorales from freshwater and sediment samples in Korea, we isolated six strains, NNIBRFG6649, NNIBRFG6255, NNIBRFG1498, CNUFC-YJ13, CNUFC-YR7, and NNIBRFG2739. The morphology and phylogeny of these strains were analyzed. Based on the morphological characteristics and molecular data from internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, the isolates NNIBRFG6649 and NNIBRFG6255 were identified as Mucor abundans, and M. aligarensis, respectively. The isolates NNIBRFG1498 and CNUFC-YJ13 were identified as M. moelleri, whereas the isolates CNUFC-YR7 and NNIBRFG2739 were identified as M. heterogamus. To the best of our knowledge, M. abundans, M. aligarensis, M. moelleri, and M. heterogamus have not yet been reported in Korea.
