A 54-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer underwent a distal gastrectomy, D2 lymph node dissection, and adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. After a year, in a follow-up PET-CT, lymph node metastases were observed in the neck and abdomen, and therefore, the patient underwent chemotherapy. After treatment, the follow-up PET-CT revealed a growth of the posterior neck lymph node. Thus, an excisional biopsy was performed, and the growth was diagnosed as metastatic adenocarcinoma. Therefore, the patient received chemotherapy with FOLFIRI. Another follow-up PET-CT after chemotherapy revealed a growth in the right inguinal lymph node, and the patient underwent salvage radiotherapy for this lesion. The PET-CT taken for the response evaluation showed no evidence of further metastasis of the lymph node. We hereby report a case of advanced gastric cancer with neck and inguinal lymph node recurrence showing complete remission after palliative chemotherapy and salvage radiotherapy.

A case of 51-year-old woman with a malignant solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN) that exhibited no growth over a period of 4 years is reported. Surgical wedge resection revealed an adenocarcinoma upon intra-operative frozen examination. The operation was completed with a right upper lobectomy and complete lymphadenectomy. The authors recommend an early surgical procedure for any SPNs due to risk factors for developing lung cancer.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in South Korea. To decrease its mortality rate, its early detection is very important. Screening for HCC detection has been accepted as the management modality for patients with chronic liver disease. Reported herein is a case involving the marked rapid growth of HCC detected at an advanced stage in a screening test with a 3 months interval. A 49-year-old male patient with chronic hepatitis B was admitted to the hospital due to a liver mass detected on CT scan. The patient underwent a first CT scan 3 months earlier, and no tumor was detected. Follow-up CT scan was performed and showed a 9.1 cm HCC with portal vein thrombosis. Percutaneous liver biopsy was performed, and the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma was confirmed. In the pertinent guidelines, the recommended screening interval for HCC is 6-12 months, but the screening interval and additional diagnostic methods should be considered due to the variation in the HCC growth rate according to the patient's clinical characteristics.

A study on the mineralogy and internal features have been carried out on a sample of ferromanganese crust from a Central Pacific seamout. The distribution of manganese mineral vernadite($\delta$-MnO$\sub$2/)in the different layers indicates typical hydrogenous origin under a continuous change of growth conditions during crustal firmation. Various internal structures are discerned within the crust which may be attributed to different growth conditions. The growth structure changes and the distinct break in the formation of the crust at about 2 depth are assumed to be the results of Miocene to mid-Pleistocene global palaeoceanographic events.

Lactobacillus spp. are the bacteria most commonly used as probiotics and it has been proven that they inhibit pathogenic bacterial growth and improve skin repair in humans. This study was conducted to investigate the growth inhibitory effect of Lactobacillus on Staphylococcus pseudintermedius, the most commonly isolated pathogen in canine pyoderma, and whether Lactobacillus could inhibit the adhesion capability of S. pseudintermedius to canine corneocytes. For this study, L. salivarius and S. pseudintermedius were isolated from healthy beagle fecal samples and the skin surface of dogs with skin infection, respectively. S. pseudintermedius was co-cultured with L. salivarius to assess the inhibitory effect. For the adhesion assay, corneocytes were collected from healthy beagle ventral abdominal skin. Both bacterial species attached to corneocytes and were assessed in number. As a result, L. salivarius significantly inhibited the growth of S. pseudintermedius in the culture medium. Moreover, L. salivarius reduced attachment of S. pseudintermedius in the adhesion assay. These results suggest that L. salivarius has an inhibitory effect on S. pseudintermedius and may be effectively used in the topical therapy of canine skin infections.

Purpose: This study aimed to apply factors of successful online marketing strategy for food distribution SMEs and the effects of these successful strategies to achieve higher performances. Research design, data, and methodology: Questionnaires were used to collect data from 400 samples of SMEs in Thailand. We employed structural Equation Modeling techniques for data analysis. Results: The results revealed that distribution strategies directly affected the success of business operations, as follows: 1) Customer communication channels, product variety, preserved privacy, and personal service had direct positive effects on the distribution success in terms of financial perspective, customer perspective, internal process perspective, and earning and growth perspectives; 2) Ability to learn a competitor had a positive direct relationship with the distribution success in terms of financial perspective and learning and growth perspectives, excluding customer perspective and internal process perspective; and 3) Responses to market on time had a positive and direct influence on distribution success in terms of customer, internal process perspective and learning and growth perspectives excluding financial perspective. Conclusions: This research has made an essential contribution to SMEs that they should focus on and adopt these 6ODS+4BSC concepts as development guidelines for food distribution SMEs to be more efficient and effective.

The study applied the non-financial dimensions of the Balanced Scorecard (customer dimension, internal processes dimension, learning, and growth dimension). It was done to evaluate performance and measure the effectiveness of these dimensions on performance evaluation at College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. The researchers used the descriptive analytical approach to conduct the study to find the effect of these dimensions. Data was collected from the college staff and administrators; 120 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 112 were collected. The questionnaire data were analyzed using exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), hypotheses were tested using the structural equation modeling (SEM) through the (Spss) and (Amos) software. The study finding showed that the balanced scorecard had a positive contribution in evaluating the performance of the College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University through the dimensions of customers and internal processes, and the study finding revealed that the balanced scorecard has no contribution at performance evaluating the College of Science and Humanities Studies: Al Aflaj, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University through the dimension of learning and growth.

Korea economy's latent growth rate has already been decreased about 4%. During 1983-1989, the latent growth rate was 8%, before the foreign exchange crisis, 1990-1997 was 6.7%, and during $2000{\sim}2004$, it had been decreased 4.4%. The latent growth rate means economy growth rate which one nation can achieve capital, labor, and factors as applying these. Our economy growth rate was 8% in 1980s, but it had been decreased about 6.7% during $1990{\sim}1997$, after 2000, it remarkably decreased 4.8% which shows weakness of our economy's strength. This study attempts to investigate about export growth factor of venture company in our nation's growth that depends on export. This thesis studied the companies continuance and growth in external environment's regular correlation and casual relationship which surround company's factors and internal. Also, the external environment, which surrounds company, can be thought that company can't control itself, so that the company's continuance and growth can be decided because of its internal primary factors. This thesis establishes and analyzes the study model that how factors can affect to company's growth.

Background: Information regarding prognostic value of growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF-15) and heart-type fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbation is limited. The aim of this study was to investigate whether serum levels of GDF-15 and H-FABP predict an adverse outcome for COPD exacerbation. Methods: Clinical variables, including serum GDF-15 and H-FABP levels were compared in prospectively enrolled patients with COPD exacerbation that did or did not experience an adverse outcome. An adverse outcome included 30-day mortality and need for endotracheal intubation or inotropic support. Results: Ninety-seven patients were included and allocated into an adverse outcome (n=10) or a control (n=87) group. Frequencies of mental change and $PaCO_2$>37 mm Hg were significantly higher in the adverse outcome group (mental change: 30% vs. 6%, p=0.034 and $PaCO_2$>37 mm Hg: 80% vs. 22%, p<0.001, respectively). Serum GDF-15 elevation (>1,600 pg/mL) was more common in the adverse outcome group (80% vs. 43%, p=0.041). However, serum H-FABP level and frequency of serum H-FABP elevation (>755 pg/mL) did not differ between the two groups. Multivariate analysis showed that an elevated serum GDF-15 and $PaCO_2$>37 mm Hg were significant predictors of an adverse outcome (odds ratio [OR], 25.8; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.7-243.8; p=0.005 and OR, 11.8; 95% CI, 1.2-115.3; p=0.034, respectively). Conclusion: Elevated serum GDF-15 level and $PaCO_2$>37 mm Hg were found to predict an adverse outcome independently in patients with COPD exacerbation, suggesting the possibility that serum GDF-15 could be used as a prognostic biomarker of COPD exacerbation.
