The Global Positioning System (GPS) has become popular and widely used in many fields from military to civilian applications. However, GPS signals are suffered from interference due to its weak signal over wireless channel. There are many types of interference, such as jamming, blocking multipath, and spoofing, which can mislead the operation of GPS receiver. In this paper, vector-based tracking loop model with integrity check is proposed to detect and mitigate the harmful effect of interference on GPS receiver operation. The suggested methods are implemented in the tracking loop of GPS receiver. As a first method, integrity check with carrier-to-noise ratio (C/No) monitoring technique is applied to detect the presence of interference and prevent contaminated channels out of tracking channels to calculate position. As a second method, a vector-based tracking loop using Extended Kalman Filter with adaptive noise covariance according to C/No monitoring results. The proposed methods have been implemented on simulated dataset. The results demonstrates that the suggested methods significantly mitigate interference of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and improve position calculation by 44%.

Recently, manufacturing industries are doing their best to increase productivity and to reduce production time. One of tile efforts is to develop user-friendly and effective CAM systems. For this purpose, a CAM system for turning was developed. In the developed system. user interacts with tile CAM system using graphical user interface (GUI) and manufacturing support functions to make NC programs effectively. Manufacturing support functions include cycle decoder. interference check be ween tool and workpicce. bar turning without air cut and dynamic/wireframe simulation. In the cycle decoder. basic options are provided to novices for their convenience. and advanced options are provided to help expert to modify the program using their knowledge. Interference check has been nil issue in tile CAM system for tuning. In this paper. when a user selects a tool. interference check between selected tools and workpieces is done automatically. Moreover. remaining shapes are calculated automatically. Then, tile CAM system requests user to input all additional tool and generates NC codes to cut tile remaining shapes. In bar turning of forged raw material, air cut should be prevented for effective machining. For this purpose, a new algorithm for bar turning was developed. Dynamic and wireframe simulation was used to verify the generated NC code.

This paper shows about the machine simulation embodiment when it happens NC equipment and between workpiece and interference in 5 axises machining of aluminium alloy a vehicles parts. And this research has been chosen because of the highest equipment interference occurrence rate at a vehicles parts processing of 5 axises horizontal machine. It can verify simulation and machining process through correlation of their dynamic relations, interference, collision as embodied virtual manufacturing system of machine, workpiece, and holder etc. That is necessary element in shape of machine tool, function and processing in imagination ball. Also, it verifies about interference and collision between NC equipment and workpiece, as it applied machine simulation to NC Data of actuality aircraft parts of BULKHEAD and FRAME. As the result of this study, by removing the equipment interference and collision element which creates NC data, the virtual machine tool it the efficiency of machine process has increased.

This paper presenta new method for tool interference acoidance using rectanguar approximation in NC machining of scuptured surface. The procedure of algorithm for approximation of sculptured surface to rectangular surface is described. Using this algorithm, we can check concave, convex, and side interference region and avoid these interferenes.

In this paper, the 5-axis tool path that has been generated from the original surface is, newly generated from the offset polyhedral mesh. In this approach, the interference check between two solid models can be simplified to that of offset polyhedral mesh and axis line. The tool path computation and interference check based on the offset mesh is simpler and faster than that based on the original surface. But 5-axis tool path generation using this approach is able to apply only for ball endmill and still takes longer time than 3-axis tool path generation.

In this paper we deal with tool interference problem in the case of compound surface machining. A new tool interference detection and correction method based on the envelope of the tool path is suggested to identify and correct the tool interference - not only within the local path of tool movement, but also outside of the tool path. Therefore, the developed strategy can be used to check the possible interference in any region of the surface. In order to analyze quantitatively the milled surface error produced by the tool interference, improved surface prediction model is also suggested in cutting process by general cutters. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation study.

Tool interference is one of the most critical problems in machining die cavities and punches. When machining concave or convex regions of cavities with large radius tool in rough cutting, the tool easily overcuts or undercuts the portions of the surface, which result in machining inaccuracy. So the generation of interference-free tool path must be required for more efficient rough cutting. In this paper, we present a method for modeling die cavities which consist of simple surface or analytic compoyund surfaces and present an algorithm for checking and removing the tool interference occurred in machining the die cavities. Using these algorithms, we can represent a die cavity, and check the interfer- ence regions, and then remove these interferences. Especially we focus on the side interference in the sides of analytic elements and base surface boundary.

This paper presents new techniques under development for monitoring the health and vibration of the active components in nuclear power plants, The purpose of this study is to develop an automated system for condition classification of a check valve one of the components being used extensively in a safety system of a nuclear power plant. Acoustic emission testing for a check valve under controlled flow loop conditions was performed to detect and evaluate disc movement for valve failure such as wear and leakage due to foreign object interference in a check valve, It is clearly demonstrated that the evaluation of different types of failure types such as disc wear and check valve leakage were successful by systematically analyzing the characteristics of various AE parameters, It is also shown that the leak size can be determined with an artificial neural network.

Tool interference is one of the most critical problems in sculptured surface machining. When machining cavities and concaves, the tool frequently overcuts the portions of the surface, which cause inaccuracy in machining. So tool interference-free paths must be generated for rough cutting more efficiently. In this paper a software using SSI(Surface/Surface intersection) algorithm is developed for eliminating tool interference which occurs in an offset surface in 3-dimensional free form surface modeling. this work consists of two stages : using the offset data, the intersection curves are rapidly checked by this algorithm at the first stage. CL(cutter location) data are obtained by deleting the loop section of intersected offset patches at the second stage. This algorithm can reduce the amount of memory required to store machining data and also easily check region which have the possibility of intersection. Also, This software is verified to be useful in machining a curved object on a DNC milling machine.

In machining screws which are important members in mono pumps or progressive cavity pumps CNC turning center with 3 axes is usually used. This sort of screw machining requires large amount of CL data points and rotational tools are used in machining. When working out the CL data points consideration of possible tool interference is important in order to avoid undercut. This paper describes the checking methods of tool interference in the screw machining on the CNC turning center. First of all a specific shape of a screw cross-section that could commonly be applied to all screws was chosen and then possible tool interference associated with that shape was identified. Checking method was mathematically developed and verified. This checking method will be utilized in the CAM system developed by the authors for screw machining on the 3-axis CNC turning center.
