  • In this paper, remote monitoring system for wind turbine site is developed. This system is a hierarchical reliable monitoring system connected by wireless communication channels between monitoring host computer and modular slave measuring subsystems. The design of this systems; the slave measuring subsystems is placed in meteorological tower and wind turbine, and the supervisory host computer is in the safety zone. The slave measuring subsystems signals are from a meteorological tower, wind turbine generator and tower. For monitoring and command function, the supervisory computer is implemented with a PC using graphic user interface. This system can be transferred the information among host computer and remote computers through the Ethernet. Consequently we can get reliability but economic system. The system has the concept of universality and modularity, so it is simple and easy to implement in wind turbine test sites.

  • The COMS(Communication, Ocean & Meteorological Satellite) is the geostationary satellite which will be performing three main objectives such as meteorological service, ocean monitoring and Ka-band satellite communications. In order to accomplish these missions, the COMS system needs to implement a specific electrical/mechanical interface functions which are requested by each payload units. This paper describes a on-board interface hardware design for COMS Meteorological Imager(MI). The Meteorological Imager Interface Unit(MI2U) achieves, through MIL-STD-15533 system bus, the interface between the Spacecraft Computer Unit(SCU) and the instrument which is dedicated to MI. MI2U provides a necessary power input to MI from +50V Power Supply Regulator(PSR), and allows adaptation of the specific payload interfaces and protocol to COMS spacecraft.

  • The thermal contact conductance at different temperatures and with different electrode forces and zinc coating morphology was measured by monitoring the infrared emissions from the one dimensionally simulated contact heat transfer experiments. The contact heat transfer coefficients were presented as a function of the harmonic mean temperature of the two contacting surfaces. Using these contact heat transfer coefficients and experimentally measured temperature profiles, the electrical contact resistivities both for the faying interface and electrode-workpiece interface were deduced from the numerical analyses of the one dimension simulation welding. It was found that the average value of the contact heat transfer coefficients for the material with zinc coating (coating weight from 0 g/$mm^2$to 100 g/$mm^2$) ranges from 0.05 W/$mm^2$$^{\circ}C$ to 2.0 W/$mm^2$$^{\circ}C$ in the temperature range above 5$0^{\circ}C$ harmonic mean temperature of the two contacting surfaces. The electrical contact resistivity deduced from the one dimension simulation welding and numerical analyses showed that the ratio of electrical contact resistivity at the laying interface to the electrical contact resistivity at the electrode interface is smaller than one far both bare steel and zinc coated steel.

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, many companies are developing Smart Ships to enable autonomous navigation, unmanned operation, and cost-effective shipping. In order to facilitate the operation of these Smart Ships, significant emphasis is being placed on improving external communication capabilities and developing autonomous navigation systems. Moreover, unmanned ship operation necessitates replacing of all visually observed conditions with sensors, leading to an inevitable increase in the number of sensors and actuators compared to traditional methods. However, in South Korea, the communication network for sensors and actuators primarily relies on the conventional 1:1 hardwired wiring, with the use of higher-level communication networks when necessary. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce the AS-Interface protocol, which is used for monitoring and controlling sensors and actuators, with the expectation that it will greatly contribute to the development of future Smart Ships by reducing production time, costs, and maintenance duration.

  • In this paper, we developed the semiconductor monitoring system for the etching process. Around the world, expert companies are competing fiercely since the semiconductor industry is a leading value-added industry that produces the essential components of electronic products. As a result, many researches have been conducted in order to improve the quality, productivity, and characteristics of semiconductor products. Process monitoring techniques has an important role to give an equivalent quality and productivity to produce semiconductor. In fact, since the etching process to form a semiconductor circuit causes great damage to the semiconductors, it is very necessary to develop a system for monitoring the process. The proposed monitoring system is mainly focused on the dry etching process using plasma and it provides the detailed observation, analysis and feedback to managers. It has the functionality of setting scenarios to match the process control automatically. In addition, it maximizes the efficiency of process automation. The result can be immediately reflected to the system since it performs real-time monitoring. UI (User Interface) provides managers with diagnosis of the current state in the process. The monitoring system has diverse functionalities to control the process according to the scenario written in advance, to stop the process efficiently and finally to increase production efficiency.

  • Recently, smartphone, notebook, PC and other supporting wireless LAN device have come into wide use. By increasing user that use wireless LAN device, wireless traffic also increased. If wireless traffic through one AP is increase, it causes throughput decrease. To solve this problem, wireless LAN service provider install more AP where overload occurred. But this is not enough. Because stations can't know AP's load factor, and APs do nothing for load balancing. In this paper, we propose Multi-Interface Access Point(MIAP) to solve this problem. MIAP operate same as multiple APs with multi-interface, and MIAP measure each interface's load periodically. If MIAP detect overloaded interface, MIAP transfer station from overloaded interface to under-loaded interface. We conducted an experiment for verifying existing problem, and we found this problem occurred. We plan an experiment scenario for a comparison between existing AP and MIAP, and excute these experiment. In the result, we show MIAP with load balancing can improve total throughput about 72% and stabilize delay jitter than existing AP.

  • Due to recent extreme weather, the information of the reliability for the nation's major social overhead capital (SOC) is emerging as a major issue. So the real-time monitoring of the underground state has become a very important. This paper is about a open USN platform for the underground information collection. Various sensors to collect information for the underground is used. The interface and the power of each sensor may vary. In order to solve the interface and power problem, this paper refer to the open interface, the network required for an open platform and the energy problem.

  • Recently, there are lots of concerning on robot agent system working for itself with the trends of the research of bio-mimetic system and intelligent robot. In this paper, a virtual 3D interface system is proposed based on Internet for remote controlling and monitoring of mobile robot. The proposed system is constructed as manager-agent model. A worker can order the robot agent move to a new position by clicking the destination on virtual space of 3D graphic interface in manager. Then the robot agent move to the position automatically with avoiding collision by using range finding and autonomous control algorithm. The proposed robot agent system lets us control the mobile robot remotely located more conveniently.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the high saline water phenomenon of Handong-ri area in the eastern coast of Jeju Island, were investigate the tidal effect of groundwater level, variation of electric conductivity and temperature, geological logging on the monitoring wells, chemical water quality, and ratios of oxygen istope of groundwater and seawater Results in investigating variation of interface zone of freshwater and saline water represented that the hyaloclastites formed at below groundwater table is developing toward the coast; this area consisted of stratum of good permeability. Hyaloclastites is presumed the main path of the high salinity water There are a lot of movement by the tide at upper layer. Salinity of lower layer spreads to upper up step in proportion to tidal energy. Because of hydrogeological characteristics, Interface zone of freshwater and saline water is made, High salinity of groundwater occur in east coastal area of Jeju Island. Therefore, I think that high saline groundwater phenomenon is natural condition by simple mixing.
