공급체인관리시스템 도입에 영향을 주는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Adoption of Supply Chain Management Systems)

  • This study examined the factors that make Korean companies adopt supply chain management systems. By adding a group of inter-organizational factors, we extended an innovation-theory-based research model to study the information technology adoption. Sixty three questionnaires from 700 leading companies in Korea were collected and analyzed. Independent variables of the research included environmental, organizational, innovation, and relational characteristics. We found that supply chain management systems in Korean companies are at the initial stage of the adoption, in general. This research also found that company's environmental characteristics have insignificant relationship with the adoption of supply chain management systems. In addition, organizational characteristics (the support of top management, the size of organization, and the information technology infrastructure), innovation characteristics of the supply chain, and the power exercised over the supply chain played important roles in adopting supply chain management systems.

  • 본 연구에서는 공급사슬 네트워크에서 네트워크 기반 기업 간 기술의 적용과 그 확산에 영향을 주는 요인을 도출하고 요인들 간의 관계를 밝히고자 한다. 공급사슬관리의 효율성과 전체 최적화의 달성을 위해 도입된 기업 간 기술은 공급사슬 내 기업들의 적극적인 기술 도입과 공급사슬 네트워크상 빠른 확산이 필요하다. 하지만, 각 기업들마다 내 외부적인 요인들에 의해 도입시점이 각기 다르며 이로 인해 그 기술의 확산속도가 결정되어 진다. 특히, 공급사슬 상에 다수의 공급업체들이 존재하는 경우, 새로운 기술의 도입을 고려중인 잠재적 대상은 기업 내부적 요인뿐만 아니라 다른 기업들과의 관계요인에 의해 결정되어지는데, 관계 요인에 의한 영향은 그 기업과의 물리적 또는 사회적 접근성에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구는 미국 유통산업 내 소비재제품제조업체(CPG)들에게 도입된 기업 간 네트워크 기술 중의 하나인 재고추적기술의 도입과 확산에 대한 실증적 분석을 통해, 잠재적 사용자의 기술 도입 결정이 초기에는 몇몇 기업들의 내부적 요인의 영향에 의해 확산이 되다가 점차적으로 사회적 접근성과 같은 관계요인에 의해 영향을 받으며 공급사슬 전체적으로 기술 확산이 일어나는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 오늘날 기업은 다양한 인력 구성을 바탕으로 조직혁신을 달성해야 함에도 불구하고, 기존 인력 다양성과 조직혁신 논의에 따르면 혼재된 실증 결과가 나타난다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이를 설명하기 위해 인력 다양성이 갖는 양면적 성격에 대해 논의한 뒤 혁신성과를 두 가지 혁신 유형인 활용적 혁신과 탐험적 혁신으로 구분하여 살펴본다. 특히 한국 기업에서 다양성 이슈가 가장 극명하게 나타나는 연령 다양성에 주목하여 살펴보고자 한다. 또한, 조직 구성원들에게 강력한 영향을 미치는 사회적 기제인 조직문화가 연령 다양성이 혁신성과 유형에 미치는 주효과를 어떻게 조절하는지 역시 추가적으로 검증하고자 하며, 특히 혁신적 조직문화와 응집적 조직문화를 중심으로 살펴본다. 인적자본데이터로 분석한 결과, 연령 다양성은 활용적 혁신에는 부(-)의 영향을, 탐험적 혁신에는 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연령 다양성과 탐험적 혁신 간 정(+)의 관계는 강화시키는 것으로 나타났으나, 응집적 조직문화가 연령 다양성과 활용적 혁신 간 부(-)의 관계를 약화시키는 것으로 예측한 가설은 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났지 않았다.

  • 요즘 외식서비스산업의 시장 환경이 산업간 융합을 통해 발전이 급변하고 있으며, 외식산업의 조직이라는 환경 또한 현대화, 산업화가 되면서 점점 복잡하고 예측하기 힘들어지고 있다. 이러한 환경 속에서 고객의 전체적인 소비과정에 직원의 참여가 반영되는 외식서비스산업의 경우, 인적자원이 그 기업의 경쟁우위가 될 수 있으며 인적자원 및 조직 관리의 중요성은 크다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 효과적인 조직관리를 위해 리더십의 역할을 인식하고, 외식서비스산업의 종사자들에게 효과적인 조직 관리를 위한 감성리더십의 역할을 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히, 외식서비스산업 종사자들의 감성리더십, 조직성과, 조직문화에 대해 통합적인 관점에서 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 조직문화의 매개효과를 통해 검증해 보고자 하였다. 경기지역 7곳의 외식서비스산업 종사자들을 대상으로 전체 500명 중 383명을 대상으로 외식서비스산업 종사자들의 감성리더십이 조직문화의 매개역할을 통해 조직성과에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 인간관계의 중요성을 요구하는 외식서비스산업 구조의 이해와 발전에 통합적인 관점의 시야를 제공하고, 외식산업뿐 아니라 여러 서비스업종 간의 융합적 사고를 기반 한 인적자원관리에 도움을 줄 수 있으리라 본다.

아웃소싱 기업간 통제와 관계 몰입에 있어서 신뢰 매개 역할에 관한 연구 (The Relationship between Control Mechanism and Commitment in Information Systems Outsourcing : The Mediating effects of Trust)

  • Recently, with increasing interest in the subject of interfirm relationship mechanism, some information systems researchers point out that existing outsourcing theories are limited in explaining the choice of governance mechanisms in interfirm relational exchanges. Recognizing the importance of trust-commitment, this study focuses on the relationship of between control mechanism and commitment. Especially the role of trust as mediator is mainly researched. A mediation model was suggested on the basis of theoretical linkages from prior relevant studies. The research model was empirically tested with 73 IS outsourcing projects. The findings have significant impactions for further research and practice. Findings are as follows: First, outcome control, process control, social control had positive effects on trust and commitment. Second, inter-organizational trust played as a partial mediator on the relationship between control mechanisms and commitment. Based on these findings, the implication and the limitation of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

  • Computer-based systems operating between two or more co-operating organizations as part of their business relationship are generally referred to as inter-organizational systems(IOS). IOS automates aspects of transactional work between organizations and coordinate other activities. These systems facilitate organizational interaction as well as flows of materials, services and information. This planning provides as business direction for IOS applications, coordinates the efforts of participants, and deals with technical and non-technical IOS issues. This paper seeks to research the effect of strategic determinants of IOS to the efficiency of IOS. The determinants that selected from prior researches are top management support, is support and vendor/consultant support. The results show that the effect of top management support to efficiency of IOS was significant and this effect mediates the effect of other factors.

Mediating Effects of Green Purchasing Capability on the Organizational Characteristics-Firm Performance Relationship

  • Despite heightened interest in and increased urgency surrounding the adoption of green business initiatives, firms seem to suffer from a limited understanding of the prerequisites and profit potentials of green strategies. Our proposed theoretical model suggests that green purchasing asa unique firmcapability must be built on internal organizational characteristics (i.e., top management commitment to environmental management, inter-functional coordination, and performance evaluation and reward systems), and that it eventually helps a firm obtain positive financial performance. We offer some research propositions about potential causal relationships among key constructs that can be empirically tested in future research. We conclude the current study with implications for both managers and researchers.

Evaluation of Busan Marine Tourism Cluster by the Concordance Test

  • By employing primarily the Kendall's Concordance Test, the paper attempted to conduct an experts' evaluation on the interaction among the agents in Busan marine tourism cluster and recommend some measures for policy consideration for the cluster's activation. For this purpose, a conceptual framework was developed to guide the assessment by using inter-agent cooperation and network approaches regarding the nature of the marine tourism cluster. Such factors as cooperation, competition, relationship marketing, and networking were identified as critical. Findings of the study imply that Busan marine tourism cluster is at its embryonic stage and needs desperate measures for improvement in the inter-organizational cooperation and networking, the major regional characteristics that determine the competitiveness of marine tourism.

  • Examining the market orientation and learning orientaiton and these relationship with business performance has received considerable interest in the last decade. Despite these interest, our understanding of the structure of both market orientation and learning orientaion and the mechanism of those effect on business performance is apparently limited in figuring out the railroad industry in Korea. The purpose of this research was to conceptualize and measure the organizational culture dimension from the integrative framework of market orientation and learning orientation, and to analyze its relationship with business performance in the railroad industry. The findings from this research are such as follows; market orientation is a set of three interrelated components, i.e., customer orientation, competitor orientation, and inter-functional coordination. This finding is similar to that of Narver and Slater(1990; 1994) who conceptualized market-oriented culture as a combined set of those 3 components. Learning-oriented culture also has a significant positive effect on business performance. The research findings suggest that both market orientation and learning orientation do exist as different organizational culture dimensions to acquire the sustainable competitive advantage in the railroad industry.

전자적 파트너십에서 공급자의 전략적 혜택 창출을 위한 협업의 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of Effect of Collaboration for Supplier's Strategic Benefits in Electronic Partnerships)

  • This study propose a model relating supplier's use of IOIS(Inter-Organizational Information Systems) to strategic benefits through extension of Subramani's research model. In extended model, collaboration serves as a safeguard for relationship-specific intangible asset. Specifically, we evaluate how two patterns of IOIS use by supplier(exploitation and exploration) relate to two specific types of relationship-specific intangible asset(business process specificity and domain knowledge specificity), which in turn are posited to promote collaboration and strategic benefits. To explore the current study, questionnaire survey was conducted on 72 first-tier supplier firms in the manufacturing industry. Based on the survey results, we posits the following : (1) Each pattern of IOIS use directly promotes a specific type of relationship-specific intangible asset. The path of the relationship between IOIS use for exploitation and domain knowledge specificity is positive but not significant. The other paths are positive and significant. (2) Both types of relationship-specific intangible asset have a positive and significant impact on collaboration. (3) Domain knowledge specificity influences on strategic benefits but business process specificity does not have an effect on them. (4) Collaboration affects supplier's strategic benefits. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the mechanism of how the pattern of IOIS use can result in strategic benefits for supplier firms.
