Due to aging, the physical fitness of middle-aged women decreases after menopause. This results in increased body fat and reduced lean body mass, both of which can lead to obesity. This phenomenon is accompanied by changes in hormone secretion in the body. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of circuit training on aging-related hormones in obese middle-aged women. The subjects were 20 obese middle-aged women. The subjects were divided into two groups: a circuit training group (n=10) and nonexercise control group (n=10). Growth hormone (GH), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), estrogen, and DHEA-S were measured before and after the circuit training program. The circuit training group performed circuit training for 12 weeks, three times per week. Exercise intensity was increased gradually from 60% to 80% of heart rate reserve every 6 weeks. In the circuit training group, at the end of the 12-week training program, the IGF-1 levels were significantly increased compared to pre-exercise levels, and they were higher than those of the control group. GH levels were also significantly increased in the circuit training group, but the differences were not statistically significant. DHEA-S was significantly increased in the circuit training group, but the difference was not statistically significant. The results showed that circuit training improved aging-related hormones levels in obese middle-aged women.
Empirical seismic displacement equations based on the Newmark sliding block method are widely used to develop seismic landslide hazard map. Most proposed equations have been developed for embankments and landfills, and do not consider the dynamic response of sliding block. Therefore, they cannot be applied to Korean mountain slopes composed of thin, uniform soil-layer underlain by an inclined bedrock parallel to the slope. In this paper, a series of two-dimensional dynamic nonlinear finite difference analyses were performed to estimate the permanent seismic slope displacement. The seismic displacement of mountain slopes was calculated using the Newmark method and the equivalent acceleration time history. The calculated seismic displacements of the mountain slopes were compared to a widely used empirical displacement model. We show that the displacement prediction is significantly enhanced if the slope is modeled as a flexible sliding mass and the amplification characteristics are accounted for. Regression equation, which uses PGA, PGV, Arias intensity of the ground motion and the fundamental period of soil layer, is shown to provide a reliable estimate of the sliding displacement. Furthermore, the empirical equation is shown to reliably predict the hazard category.

Recently, research and developmental direction of communication system is concurrent adopting voice data and face image in speaking to provide more higher recognition rate then in the case of only voice data. Therefore, we present a method of lipreading in speech image sequence by using the 3-D facial shape model. The method use a feature information of the face image such as the opening-level of lip, the movement of jaw, and the projection height of lip. At first, we adjust the 3-D face model to speeching face image sequence. Then, to get a feature information we compute variance quantity from adjusted 3-D shape model of image sequence and use the variance quality of the adjusted 3-D model as recognition parameters. We use the intensity inclination values which obtaining from the variance in 3-D feature points as the separation of recognition units from the sequential image. After then, we use discrete HMM algorithm at recognition process, depending on multiple observation sequence which considers the variance of 3-D feature point fully. As a result of recognition experiment with the 8 Korean vowels and 2 Korean consonants, we have about 80% of recognition rate for the plosives and vowels. We propose that usability with visual distinguishing factor that using feature vector because as a result of recognition experiment for recognition parameter with the 10 korean vowels, obtaining high recognition rate.

The 117 soybean cultivars were collected from nine provinces in Korea, and various seed quality traits along with isoflavone contents were evaluated to elucidate their relationship. The 100-seed weight of the black soybean (31.2 g) was significantly higher (p<0.05) than yellow soybeans (28.6 g). The composition of genistein, daidzein, and glycitein accounted for 75.8, 22.8, and 1.4 % of total isoflavone in yellow soybean cultivars, while their compositions in black soybeans were 58.5, 39.7, and 1.8%, respectively. The mean contents of total isoflavone in yellow and black soybean were $l,561.6{\mu}g\;g^{-1}\;and\;l,018.3{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$. The isofalvone content showed significant variation among cultivars when classified by the seed size. In the yellow soybeans, total isoflavone content was higher in small size soybean cultivars $(1,776.0{\mu}g\;g^{-1})$ and medium size soybean cultivars $(1,714.3{\mu}g\;g^{-1})$ compared to large size ones $(1,518.5{\mu}g\;g^{-1})$. Genistein content was proved as the major factor determining the relationship between isoflavone content and 100-seed weights (r =-0.206*). Daidzein and glycitein, however, showed no significant relationship with the 100-seed weights. Isoflavone content was not significantly correlated with color parameters L (lightness) and a (redness) values, but color parameter b (yellowness) was positively correlated with glycitein (r=0.264*) in the yellow soybeans, while its negative correlation between daidzein (r=-0.245*) and total isoflavone (r=-0.256*) were observed in black soybeans. However, these findings suggested that the seed color value may not serve as an effective parameter for estimating the isoflavone intensity of the soybeans. Variation of protein and lipid contents between yellow soybeans (n=58) and black soybeans (n=59) was relatively stable, however, protein and lipid contents have no significant relationship with isoflavone content.
The objective of this study was to determine the effect of EGF on the development of IVM/IVF bovine embryos and their ICM and TE cell number. In addition, we examined the combined effect of EGF and coculture to the bovine embryo development and the expression of EGF-R protein on bovine embryos by indirect immunofluorescence. The results obtained in these experiments were summarized as follows: When the IVM/IVF 4- to 8-cell embryos were treated at 0, 1, 10, 100 ng/ml of EGF, EGF treatment group showed improved development to blastocyst and increased pattern of ICM and TE cell number compared with control, although there is not significantly different. The stimulating effect of EGF (10 ng/ml) to the develop ment level of IVM/IVF bovine embryos significantly increased development rate to blastocyst after 8-cell stage (p<0.05), although there is no significant effect to the increase of ICM and TE cell numbers. Also, expression of EGF-R on the bovine embryonic stage by indirect immunofluor escence presents after 4-cell stage and the intensity of the EGF-R staining was variable with the development progression. On the other hand, embryos cultured in coculture group added either with or without EGF commonly indicated the significant difference in development rate to blastocyst and Total cell number compared with control. These results suggest that the a addition of EGF to the coculture may stimulate the coculture effect between IVM/IVF bovineembryos and cumulus cells. Therefore, EGF could promote preimplantation bovine embryo development by binding with expressed EGF~R after 4-cell stage, and stimulate the production of embryotrophic factors from the coculture environment. Also, the present study showed that there was no significant effect of EGF to the increase of ICM and TE cell number although the rate of blastocyst significantly increased when treated with EGF after 8-cell stage (p<0.05).

In this paper, in order to support the peak current limiting function depending on the intensity of the fault current at the early stage of failure, a two magnetically coupled type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is proposed, which includes high-Tc superconducting (HTSC) element 1, where the existing primary and secondary coils are connected to one iron core in parallel, and HTSC element 2, which is connected to the tertiary winding using an additional iron core. The results of the experiments in this study confirmed that the two magnetic coupling type SFCL having coil 1 and coil 2 connected in parallel using dual iron cores is capable of having only HTSC element 1 support the burden of the peak current when a failure occurs. The reason for this is that although HTSC element 1 was quenched and malfunctioned because the instantaneous factor of the initial fault current was large, the current flowing to coil 3 did not exceed the critical current, which would otherwise cause HTSC element 2 to be quenched and not function. In order to limit the peak current upon fault through the sequential HTSC elements, the design should allow it to have the same value as the low value of coil 1 while having coil 3 possess a higher self-inductance value than coil 2. In addition, a short-circuit simulation experiment was conducted to examine and validate the current limiting and recovery characteristics of the SFCL when the winding ratio between coil 1 and coil 2 was 0.25. Through the analysis of the short-circuit tests, the current limiting and recovery characteristics in the case of the additive polarity winding was confirmed to be superior to that of the subtractive polarity winding.
In this paper, for 43 sites neighboring to western area of Gangwondo where disaster of debris flow occurred from 2006 to 2013, magnitude of debris flow was estimated from results of site investigation and correlation analysis between influencing factors to its magnitude was performed. Magnitude of channelized debris flow was found greater by 6.5 times of that of hill slope debris flow and approximately 5% of total volume was occurred at initiation part of channelized debris flow. As results of analyzing yield rate of debris flow, for channelized debris flow, yield rate values of $19m^3/m$ and $8m^3/m$ were obtained for total volume being over $10,000m^3/m$ as the large scale of debris flow and less than $10,000m^3/m$ respectively, and value of $5m^3/m$ was estimated for hill slope debris flow. As results of correlation analysis of influencing factors to magnitude of debris flow, runoff distance and erosion width were very highly correlated to its magnitude whereas average slope of basin and erosion depth showed relatively low correlation. In particular, value of erosion depth was in the range of 0.5-2.6 m, being similar range to the value proposed by Ikeya (1981). Triggering rainfall to debris flow such as continuous rainfall and maximum intensity of hour rainfall were analyzed to have low correlation with magnitude of debris flow.

Zaltoprofen loaded polyoxalate (POX) microspheres were prepared by an emulsion solvent-evaporation/extraction method like oil-in-water (O/W) for sustained release of zaltoprofen. The influence of several preparation parameters such as fabrication temperature, stirring speed, intensity of the sonication, initial drug ratio, molecular weight ($M_w$) of POX, concentration of POX and concentration of emulsifier has been investigated on the zaltoprofen release profiles. Physicochemical properties and morphology of zaltoprofen loaded POX microspheres were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). Through the analyzed results, it was demonstrated that the characteristics of the microspheres greatly affected by the prepared condition. The releases behavior of zaltoprofen was investigated for 10 days in vitro. It was confirmed that the release behavior of zaltoprofen can be controlled by the manufacturing factor of solvent-evaporation/extraction method.

As being aware of organization learning is hard to be ignored in the new economic age, this research is based on learning and growth of BSC, and citing one national material company try to let the most difficult measurement performance of organization learning, to be estimate through BSC, analyze of factor and individual case, to discuss the company how to make the related strategy and vision of organization learning to develop learning and growth of the structure of BSC, subject the matter of out put factors to be discussed, and measure the outcomes as a result of research. The research affect offers (1) the base implement procedure of carrying out BSC; (2) the reference of formulating measurement index while enterprise using BSC to estimate performance of organization learning; (3) the possibility bottleneck maybe forcing while carrying out BSC, to be an improvement or preventive for enterprise.

In this work, the effect of PMR-15 content on the variation of surface free energy of the DGEBA/PMR-15 blend system was investigated in terms of contact angles and mechanical interfacial tests. Based on FT-IR result of the blend system. C=O (1,772, $1,778cm^{-1}$) and C-N ($1,372cm^{-1}$) peaks appeared with imidization of PMR-15 and -OH ($3,500cm^{-1}$) peak showed broadly at 10 phr of PMR-15 by ring-opening of epoxy. Contact angle measurements were performed by using deionized water and diiodomethane as testing liquids. As a result, the surface free energy of the blends gave a maximum value at 10 phr of PMR-15, due to the significant increasing of specific component. The mechanical interfacial properties measured from the critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$) and the critical strain energy release rate ($G_{IC}$) showed a similar behavior with the results of surface energetics. This behavior was probably attributed to The improving of the interfacial adhesion between intermolecules, resulting from increasing the hydrogen bondings of the blends.
