칼라 매저링/매칭용 지능형 전문가 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Intelligent Expert System for Color Measuring/Matching)

  • The color measuring/matching expert system is implemented with a new color measuring method that combines intelligent algorithms with image processing techniques. Color measuring part of the proposed system preprocesses the scanned original color input images to eliminate their distorted components by means of the image histogram technique of image pixels, and then extracts RGB(Red, Green, Blue)data among color information from preprocessed color input images. If the extracted RGB color data does not exist on the matching recipe databases, we can measure the colors for the user who want to implement the model that can search the rules for the color mixing information, using the intelligent modeling techniques such as fuzzy inference system and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system. Color matching part can easily choose images close to the original color for the user by comparing information of preprocessed color real input images with data-based measuring recipe information of the expert, from the viewpoint of the delta Eformula used in practical process.

Hybrid Intelligent Web Recommendation Systems Based on Web Data Mining and Case-Based Reasoning

  • In this research, we suggest a hybrid intelligent Web recommendation systems based on Web data mining and case-based reasoning (CBR). One of the important research topics in the field of Internet business is blending artificial intelligence (AI) techniques with knowledge discovering in database (KDD) or data mining (DM). Data mining is used as an efficient mechanism in reasoning for association knowledge between goods and customers' preference. In the field of data mining, the features, called attributes, are often selected primary for mining the association knowledge between related products. Therefore, most of researches, in the arena of Web data mining, used association rules extraction mechanism. However, association rules extraction mechanism has a potential limitation in flexibility of reasoning. If there are some goods, which were not retrieved by association rules-based reasoning, we can't present more information to customer. To overcome this limitation case, we combined CBR with Web data mining. CBR is one of the AI techniques and used in problems for which it is difficult to solve with logical (association) rules. A Web-log data gathered in real-world Web shopping mall was given to illustrate the quality of the proposed hybrid recommendation mechanism. This Web shopping mall deals with remote-controlled plastic models such as remote-controlled car, yacht, airplane, and helicopter. The experimental results showed that our hybrid recommendation mechanism could reflect both association knowledge and implicit human knowledge extracted from cases in Web databases.

  • Generally, operators suffer much difficulty in manipulating micro-nano-sized objects without assisting of human interface, due to the scaling effects in micro/nano world.   • Referring to various definitions, we first examine the identity issue of intelligent control and, have tried to explain the nature and attributes of intelligent control in terms of two categories of positions, that is, the Noumenalist's position and the Phenomenologist's position. And then, we give detailed descriptions for (1) FUZZY-based intelligent control and (2) learning control. Finally, as a noticeable new technique of intelligent control for robotic applications, we present (3) Cognitive control.

  • Latest advances in network sensor technology and state of the art of mobile robot, and artificial intelligence research can be employed to develop autonomous and distributed monitoring systems. In this study, as the preliminary step for developing a multi-purpose "Intelligent Space" platform to implement advanced technologies easily to realize smart services to human. We will give an explanation for the ISpace system architecture designed and implemented in this study and a short review of existing techniques, since there exist several recent thorough books and review paper on this paper. Instead we will focus on the main results with relevance to the DIND data fusion with CI of Intelligent Space. We will conclude by discussing some possible future extensions of ISpace. It is first dealt with the general principle of the navigation and guidance architecture, then the detailed functions tracking multiple objects, human detection and motion assessment, with the results from the simulations run.

  • 최근 데이터마이닝 기법을 이용하여 기업의 부실을 예측하고자 하는 연구가 많이 이루어져 왔다. 여러 연구자들에 의해 다양한 데이터마이닝 기법이 연구되었으나 각 방법론이 장단점을 가지고 있기에 이를 보완적으로 사용하고자하는 결합기법에 대한 연구도 꾸준하게 발표되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 데이터마이닝 기법을 각 기법의 특성을 바탕으로 4가지 형태로 구분하고 각 형태의 대표적인 기법을 선택하여 이를 유전자알고리즘을 통하여 통합하는 기법을 제안한다. 유전자알고리즘은 전역최적화기법으로 다양한 기법의 결과를 유기적으로 통합하여 최적해 또는 유사최적해를 찾게 해 줄 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기업부실예측에서 유용한 모형을 찾기 위하여 단일모형, 기존의 통합모형과 본 연구에서 제안하는 유전자알고리즘 통합기법의 결과를 비교한다.

RowAMD Distance: A Novel 2DPCA-Based Distance Computation with Texture-Based Technique for Face Recognition

  • Although two-dimensional principal component analysis (2DPCA) has been shown to be successful in face recognition system, it is still very sensitive to illumination variations. To reduce the effect of these variations, texture-based techniques are used due to their robustness to these variations. In this paper, we explore several texture-based techniques and determine the most appropriate one to be used with 2DPCA-based techniques for face recognition. We also propose a new distance metric computation in 2DPCA called Row Assembled Matrix Distance (RowAMD). Experiments on Yale Face Database, Extended Yale Face Database B, AR Database and LFW Database reveal that the proposed RowAMD distance computation method outperforms other conventional distance metrics when Local Line Binary Pattern (LLBP) and Multi-scale Block Local Binary Pattern (MB-LBP) are used for face authentication and face identification, respectively. In addition to this, the results also demonstrate the robustness of the proposed RowAMD with several texture-based techniques.

경량 깊이완성기술을 위한 효율적인 자기지도학습 기법 연구 (Efficient Self-supervised Learning Techniques for Lightweight Depth Completion)

  • 카메라와 라이다가 탑재된 자율주행 시스템에서 깊이완성기술을 통해 조밀한 깊이추정을 할 수 있다. 특히, 자기지도학습을 이용하면 깊이정답이 없는 주행데이터로도 깊이완성 네트워크의 학습이 가능하다. 실제 자율주행환경에서 이러한 깊이완성의 출력은 다른 알고리즘들의 입력으로 사용되므로 매우 빠른 지연속도를 요구한다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 종래의 연구들처럼 네트워크를 고도화하여 정확도를 높이기보단 추론속도를 극대화한 형태의 깊이완성 네트워크를 사용한다. GPU 연산에 최적화된 RegNet 인코더를 사용하고 네트워크의 병렬성을 고려한 U-Net 형태의 네트워크를 설계한다. 대신, 본 논문에서는 자기지도학습 과정에서 정확도를 높일 수 있는 몇 가지 기법들을 제시한다. 제시하는 기법들은 신뢰할 수 없는 라이다 입력에 대한 강인함을 높이고 사전에 추출한 시맨틱 정보를 바탕으로 에지와 하늘 영역에 대한 깊이 추정 품질을 향상시킨다. 실험을 통해 우리의 모델은 매우 경량임에도 (2.42ms at 1280x480) 노이즈에 강하며 최신 연구들과 대등한 정확도를 보임을 확인한다.

  • 최근 사용자의 환경이나 실세계 환경에 상호작용 하면서 지능적으로 동작하는 지능형 에이전트가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자와 상호작용 하는 과정에서 사용자의 감성 상태를 파악하고, 이에 대응하는 적절한 행동을 할 수 있는 감성 기반 지능형 에이전트에 대한 기술동향을 조사하였다. 자동적(autonomous)이고 상호적인(interactive) 애니메이션을 전제로 하는 감성 기반 지능형 에이전트의 기술 현황 및 주요 연구 사례들을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we introduce visual contexts in terms of types and utilization methods for robust object recognition with intelligent mobile robots. One of the core technologies for intelligent robots is visual object recognition. Robust techniques are strongly required since there are many sources of visual variations such as geometric, photometric, and noise. For such requirements, we define spatial context, hierarchical context, and temporal context. According to object recognition domain, we can select such visual contexts. We also propose a unified framework which can utilize the whole contexts and validates it in real working environment. Finally, we also discuss the future research directions of object recognition technologies for intelligent robots.
