  • With developments of architectural and information technologies at the knowledge-information oriented society in the 21st century, there are the needs on intelligent buildings equipped with advanced systems to integrate both technologies. The intelligent building means a smart building which provides comfortable environments, realizes fast and speed information and telecommunication network services, and maximizes work productivities by adopting various systems suitable to uses, sizes, and functions of buildings. In order to meet these needs of the times, the domestic intelligent building certification system has been enforced in 2006. Recently, the intelligent building certification system was newly revised for revitalizing the spread of intelligent buildings. Thus, this paper investigates rating criteria and assessment standards of the new certification system focused on office building projects and suggests strategies for obtaining certifications by analyzing cases which were certified on the previous version of the system.

A Novel Method of Improving Cache Hit-rate in Hadoop MapReduce using SSD Cache

  • The MapReduce Program of Hadoop Distributed File System operates on any unspecified nodes due to distributed-parallel process and block replicate for data stability. Since it is difficult to guarantee the cache locality when a Solid State Drive is used as a cache in hadoop, cache hit-rate is decreased. In this paper, we suggest a method to improve cache hit rate by pre-loading the input data of the MapReduce onto the SSD cache. To perform this method, we estimated the blocks that are used on each node by using capacity scheduler and block metadata. Eventually we could increase the performance of SSD cache by loading the blocks onto SSD cache before the Map Task run.

  • 최근 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경 내에서 많은 IT 기업들이 그동안에 쌓아두었던 소프트웨어, 하드웨어 기술력을 바탕으로 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 제공하는 데 필요한 IT 인프라 구축에 힘쓰고 있는 시점에서 경쟁력이 심화되고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 대용량의 데이터를 사용자에게 고속으로 제공할 수 있는 방안을 연구하는 것이 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 대두되고 있는 이슈 중에 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 HSS(Hybrid Storage System) 내부 소프트웨어 시스템 설계 기법에 고속 캐싱을 접목시켜 사용자에게 고속으로 데이터를 제공하는 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 오늘날의 오피스 공간은 오피스 초창기에 보여지 듯 거대한 공간 안에서 동시다발적으로 일어났던 공간 구조와는 달리 개인의 업무, 공동의 업무와 상호 독립적인 업무, 그룹의 업무방법과 그룹문화, 그룹과 사람에 따라서 다르게 구성하고 있다. 이는 산업과 기술의 발달로 하여금 사용자의 오피스 공간 의식변화 및 공간 형태에서 큰 변화가 이루어짐을 의미한다. 하지만 유비쿼터스 기술의 빠른 성장은 건물 전체의 기능이나 성능, 효율과 더불어 사용자 중심의 공간의 서비스를 제공하는 지능형오피스의 기술적 공간변화로 진화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지능형오피스의 개념을 구체화와 사용자요구 중심의 오피스환경 연구의 일환으로 지능형오피스 서비스시나리오 구성에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.

국내(國內) 인텔리전트 사무소(事務所) 건물(建物)의 건축계획(建築計劃) 관련지표(關聯指標) 추이(推移) 분석(分析) (An Analysis of the Transition of Architectural Data on the Intelligent Office Building in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the transition on architectural data such as valid indoor length, module, ratio of core, floor height, ceiling height and the type of structured cabling system according to the intelligent building grade through case study of the intelligent office buildings constructed in Korea since 1980. The results of this study were as follows. The average floor height was 3.80m, and it was higher in proportion to the IB grade. The average ceiling height was 2.57m, and it didn't have connection with the IB grade. The module of high frequency in application was $3.0{\times}3.0m$, and it showed 25% in the application frequency. The average valid indoor length was 12.27m. The average ratio of core was 24.49%. The type of high frequency in application for the structured cabling was Access Floor Type, and it showed 31% in the application frequency.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the category, intelligent element technologies and detail items for application of intelligent school. The result of this study will be a basic data to improve the intelligent school. For this purpose, analyze domestic and foreign intelligent system and through interview, survey with professional group, developed item was evaluated and for verifying and reappraising the items the researcher visited and interviewed teachers of three elementary schools. Developed intelligent items were composed of twelve basic technologies and fifty-four detail technologies.

기존 사무소건축의 IB화를 위한 리모델링 작업범위 (The Work Scope of Remodelling for the Intelligent Office Building)

  • The IB is normally defined in terms of BA, OA, security system, information processing and telecommunications services However, the buildings being already in existence are deficient in two areas. One of these areas is building envelope and plan. The other area is mechanical, electrical and structural systems which do not provide the environmental quality required by IB. Existing technology and design knowledge are available to address these deficiencies. Especially, the office buildings being already in existence must meet IB requirement in order to achieve desirable office environment. They are a building envelope, moisture control, properly-located windows, shafts for duct, telephone and electric closets and acoustical environments. In this paper, a new approach to construct the work scope of remodelling the office building being already existence is described by contrasting the building performance criteria of IB. It concludes by speculating on the consequences of extrapolating the results of study to remodelling the office building being already existence.

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅 및 빅데이터 환경에서 최근 데이터의 유동량은 폭발적으로 증가하였다. 그에 따라 대규모 IT자원 및 서비스 제공을 위한 핵심 인프라 역할을 맡고 있는 데이터센터의 수요가 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 하지만, 데이터센터의 빠른 확장 속도에 비하여 데이터센터를 통합적, 효율적으로 관리하고 모니터링 할 수 있는 시스템의 부재로 데이터센터의 빠른 유지보수, 효율적 자원관리와 고신뢰 시스템 구축이 어려운 실정이다. 또한 국내 여건상 외국의 사례와 같이 넓은 부지를 사용하여 데이터센터를 구축할 수가 없기 때문에 모듈 형태의 데이터센터 구축 연구가 절실한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 폭발적 데이터 환경과 국내 여건을 고려한 효율적인 인프라 지원을 위한 모듈러 데이터 센터의 스마트 모니터링 관리 시스템 구조를 설계한다.

  • Recently, the society is being, developed physically and technically and the desire for the better equipped office environment has been required. Due to the change of recognition about the information-oriented office and the rapid progress ot the office automation many conventional office environment are changing to the new phase, the intelligent building. Unfortunately, because of the lack of the harmony between our business operating characteristics and the western office space planning, there are some severe problems in improving the business ability.   • Many new office buildings are being built as intelligent buildings equipped with building automation(HA) systems, office automation(OA) systems, and telecommunication(TC) systems in order to provide pleasant building environment and the ease of maintenance and facility management. Building control systems which are employed in intelligent buildings require varieties of advanced control systems and network systems for efficient integrated management. Design and installation of these types of advanced building control systems take a lot of efforts and also they are costly. In order to design these systems, it is necessary for the designers to have the integrated simulator including proper network system simulation. In this paper, the integrated simulator that consist of HVAC system, lighting system, elevator system, parking system based on the network system is presented. For the development of integrated simulator, AHENA which is the general-purpose software tool for a simulation with reinforced GUI is used.
