외국계 생명보험 설계사의 감성지능이 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Emotional Intelligence Effects on Foreign LCs' Self-Efficacy and Job Stress)

  • Purpose - This study is to investigate the relationship among emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of foreign life insurance consultants focusing on the mediating effect of self-efficacy. Regarding job security, in general foreign life insurance companies in Korea have more severe working conditions in terms of required contract performance. For foreign life insurance consultants, they are assumed to need higher level of emotional intelligence and self efficacy to meet the conditions. In this study, focus is cast on these aspects. Research design, data, and methodology - Basically the research is conducted upon questionnaires responded by foreign life insurance consultants. That is, data are collected from 255 sample of insurance consultants who work for a foreign owned life insurance company. The Questionnaire measure the level of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of insurance consultants. The data are analyzed using pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Durbin-Watson test. Results - The general characteristics of respondents are gender, age, marital status, education level, income monthly, career length, change jobs no, working day per week, call no. per week, meeting no. with client per week, contract regularity, contract no. per month and cancellation contract per year. The mean of emotional intelligence is 2.63, self-efficacy is 3.44 and job stress is 2.20. Emotional intelligence is composed with mean value of self emotion appraisal(3.93), other's emotion appraisal(3.78), regulation of emotion(3.29) and use of emotion(3.52). The mean of self efficacy is composed with mean value of self-confidence(3.41), self-regulated efficacy(3.59) and preference task difficulty(3.30). The job stress is composed with mean value of job requirement(2.61), lack of job autonomy(1.99), conflict of personal relations(1.99), job instability(2.38), organizational system(2.19) and inappropriate compensation(2.07). There is a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. The emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are significantly negative correlation with job stress. The self-efficacy is showed a mediating variable between emotional intelligence and job stress. Conclusions - To decrease job stress level, foreign life insurance company should find the factors to improve the emotional intelligence and self-efficacy of life insurance consultants, and develop appropriate plans using a mediating role of self- efficacy between emotional intelligence and job stress.

시설보호아동과 일반아동의 정서지능 및 유머감각이 공격행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Emotional Intelligence and the Sense of Humor in Institutionalized and At-Home Children on their Aggressive Behavior)

  • This study explored the effects of emotional intelligence and sense of humor in institutionalized and at-home children on their aggressive behavior by using a path model. The participants in this study were 62 institutionalized children and 98 children reared at home, residing in an undisclosed city. The institutionalized children had a lower level of emotional intelligence and sense of humor than children at home. Also, the institutionalized children had a higher level of aggressive behavior than at-home children. Effects of emotional intelligence and sense of humor on the aggressive behavior were significantly different between institutionalized and at-home children.

간호대학생의 감성지능 수준에 따른 스트레스 정도 및 스트레스 대처방식의 차이 (Differences in Stress and Stress Coping Strategies according to Emotional Intelligence in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify differences in stress levels and stress coping strategies according to the degree of emotional intelligence in nursing students. Method: Study participants included 367 nursing students from three universities in Gyeonggi and Chungnam provinces. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire in December 2012 and subsequently analyzed via the IBM SPSS 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe tests. Results: The emotional intelligence of nursing students was slightly higher than average. Perceived stress and clinical practice stress among nursing students were high and nursing students used more problem-focused compared to emotion-focused coping strategies. Nursing students who had a higher level of emotional intelligence exhibited lower levels of perceived stress (t=2.26, p=.025) and clinical practice stress (t=9.37, p<.001) and more used problem-focused coping strategies (t=-7.56, p<.001) than those who had a lower level of emotional intelligence. Conclusion: These results suggest that nursing interventions to improve the emotional intelligence of nursing students are necessary to manage stress more effectively.

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the relationship among emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of nurses. Method: Data was collected from convenient sample of 265 nurses who work for a university hospital in a city. The Questionnaire measured the level of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and job stress of nurses. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe' test, pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression. Result: The mean score of emotional intelligence was 3.41(${\pm}.37$), self-efficacy was 3.27(${\pm}.45$) and job stress was 3.35(${\pm}.65$). There were significant differences on self-efficacy according to age, marital status and education level. And there were significant differences on job stress according to age, working unit. It was a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. The emotional intelligence and self-efficacy were significantly negative correlation with job stress. The emotional intelligence explained 24.8% of self-efficacy and 1.9% of job stress and self-efficacy explained 2.7% of job stress. And the self-efficacy was showed a mediate variable between emotional intelligence and job stress. Conclusion: To decrease job stress, nursing managers ought to develop the emotional intelligence and self-efficacy of nurses, reinforce as a mediating role between emotional intelligence and job stress

몬테소리와 일반 어린이집 유아의 다중지능 영역비교와 사회성 (A Comparison of Young Children's Multiple Intelligence Area and Social Behaviors in Montessori and General Programs of Day Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in young children's multiple intelligence and social behaviors based not only on Montessori and general programs of day care centers but also on their gender and social- demographic factors. The subjects were 329 young children (182 boys and 147 girls aged from four to five) from two day care centers in Cheongju city. The instruments used in this study were HAPI (Hillside assessment of Perceived Intelligence) to measure the surveyee's multiple intelligence and Park & Lee's scale to measure their social behaviors. The frequencies, percentiles, mean, standard deviations, Cronbach a, t-teat, F and LSD were used to analyze the collected data through SPSS WIN program. The results of this study are as follows: 1) As for young children's multiple intelligence, there are differences according to young children's gender, order of birth, parents' level of education and teacher's working period out of social-demographic factors. 2) As for the young children's social behavior, there are differences according to young children's gender, mother's level of education and teacher's working period out of social-demographic factors.

호스피스 자원봉사자의 감성지능, 소진탄력성 및 생의 의미 간의 관계 (The Relationships among Emotional Intelligence, Resilience to Burnout, and Meaning in Life of Hospice Volunteers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among emotional intelligence, resilience to burnout, and meaning in life of hospice volunteers. Methods: Data were collected through structured questionnaires from 200 hospice volunteers who were working at hospitals for six months or longer. Data were collected from March 7 to March 31, 2016, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 22.0. Results: There was a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence, resilience to burnout and meaning in life. The significant predictors of hospice volunteers' meaning in life were resilience to burnout(${\beta}=.47$), emotional intelligence(${\beta}=.15$), educational level(college, ${\beta}=.11$), religion(protestant, ${\beta}=.12$; buddhism, ${\beta}=-.15$), and motivation for neighborhood service(${\beta}=.16$). These variables explained meaning in life up to 50.2%. Resilience to burnout was the greatest effective factor on meaning in life. Conclusion: These results suggest a need to develop programs that improve hospice volunteers' emotional intelligence and resilience to burnout. Also, educational level, religion, and service motivation of hospice volunteers should be considered.

대학생의 스마트폰 중독수준과 정서지능, 자기통제력과의 관계 (Smartphone Addiction, Emotional Intelligence, and Self-control in College Students)

  • Purpose: University life is a very significant period for students, during which they have to nurture their personality to help them adapt to life after graduation. However, excessive use of smartphones has been observed to causes increasingly severe isolation and unstable emotional conditions among students. Therefore, this descriptive study aimed to identify the level of smartphone addiction in college students and its relationship with their emotional intelligence and self-control. Method: A total of 232 college students participated in the study. A, questionnaire was used, which comprised 59 structured questions on smartphone addiction (15 questions), emotional intelligence (23 questions), and self-control (21 questions). Results: The findings revealed that the addiction rate of the subjects was at a marked 25.5%. This was higher than that of Korean adults in 2012, (11%). Further, the higher the addiction level, the lower was the participants' emotional intelligence (r=-0.177, p<0.007) and self-control (r=-0.418, p<0.001). Furthermore, when their emotional intelligence was higher, so was their self-control (r=.502, p<.001). Conclusion: Those at a high risk for smartphone addiction need to be identified early, and an appropriate. Program needs to be developed to prevent such addiction.

인공지능 기반 공공서비스 정책수용 의도에 관한 연구: 개인의 인식과 디지털 리터러시 수준이 미치는 영향을 중심으로 (A Study on Policy Acceptance Intention to Use Artificial Intelligence-Based Public Services: Focusing on the Influence of Individual Perception & Digital Literacy Level)

  • 본 연구는 인공지능에 관한 개인의 인식과 디지털 정보를 이해하고 활용할 수 있는 디지털 리터러시(Digital Literacy) 수준이 인공지능 기반 공공서비스의 수용에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 실증적 분석을 위해 2017년에 수행된 설문조사 자료를 바탕으로 기술수용모형과 계획된 행동이론에 근거하여 연구모형을 설정하고 구조방정식을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 인공지능 기술에 대한 개인의 긍정적 인식은 인공지능 기술이 도입된 공공민원서비스에 대한 혜택에 대한 태도를 강화하고, 우려는 감소시키는 역할을 한다. 둘째, 디지털 리터러시 수준은 인공지능 기술에 대한 혜택과 우려를 모두 강화하지만, 인공지능 기술에 대한 프라이버시 염려보다는 개인이 인식하는 인공지능 기술의 혜택을 통해 공공민원서비스를 이용할 의도를 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 인공지능 기술에 대한 개인의 지각된 혜택은 공공민원서비스 이용의도를 강화하고, 프라이버시 염려는 이용의도에 부정적 영향이 확인되었다. 특히, 프라이버시 염려보다는 지각된 이용 편의성과 유용성의 영향이 이용의도를 더욱 강화하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과는 인공지능 기술을 통해 제공되는 정보의 정확성과 신뢰성에 관한 시민의 긍정적 인식 강화, 인공지능 기술로 인한 오류에 대한 책임 소재에 대한 제도적 보완, 프라이버시 보호와 관련된 기술적 문제 해결의 필요성을 제기한다.

아버지의 일상적 스트레스와 양육참여도가 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향: 부부갈등의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Fathers' Daily Stress and Child-Rearing Involvement on Children's Emotional Intelligence: Focused on the Mediating Effects of Marital Conflict)

  • Both direct and indirect courses are studied in this research to study the effect of fathers' daily stress, child-rearing involvement and marital conflict on children's emotional intelligence. The participants were 281 parents of children aged between 3 to 5 attending 9 kindergartens in Seoul and the Gyeonggi-do, Jeolla-do, and Gyeongsang-do areas. The data was collected by the questionnaire method. Collected data for the study was analyzed using the Structural Equation Model with the AMOS 16.0 program. The main points of this research are as follows: First, the direct course of fathers' daily stress did not appear to have a significant effect on children's emotional intelligence. Second, fathers' daily stress has an indirect effect on children's emotional intelligence through marital conflict. That is, the higher level of stress in the father's daily life, the deeper marital conflict that is found. And the deeper the marital conflict that exists, the lower child's emotional intelligence that is shown. Third, the direct course of the fathers' child-rearing involvement did not appear to have a significant effect on children's emotional intelligence. Fourth, the father's child-rearing involvement has an indirect effect on children's emotional intelligence through marital conflict. That is, marital conflict decreases as the father becomes more involved in child rearing. In addition, the lower level of marital conflict that exists, the higher child's emotional intelligence.

Deep Level Situation Understanding for Casual Communication in Humans-Robots Interaction

  • A concept of Deep Level Situation Understanding is proposed to realize human-like natural communication (called casual communication) among multi-agent (e.g., humans and robots/machines), where the deep level situation understanding consists of surface level understanding (such as gesture/posture understanding, facial expression understanding, speech/voice understanding), emotion understanding, intention understanding, and atmosphere understanding by applying customized knowledge of each agent and by taking considerations of thoughtfulness. The proposal aims to reduce burden of humans in humans-robots interaction, so as to realize harmonious communication by excluding unnecessary troubles or misunderstandings among agents, and finally helps to create a peaceful, happy, and prosperous humans-robots society. A simulated experiment is carried out to validate the deep level situation understanding system on a scenario where meeting-room reservation is done between a human employee and a secretary-robot. The proposed deep level situation understanding system aims to be applied in service robot systems for smoothing the communication and avoiding misunderstanding among agents.
