This study was conducted upon the premise that index terms display the intellectual structure of a specific subject field. In this study, and attempt was made to grasp the intellectual structure of Library and Information. Science by clustering the index terms of the journals of the related academic societies at the Library of National Assembly - such as the Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management, the Journal of the Korean Library and Information Science Society, and the Journal of the Korean Society for Library and Information Science. Through the course of the study, index term clusters were generated based on the linkage of the index terms and the frequency of co-occurrence, and moreover, time periods analysis was conducted along with studies on first-appearing terms, in order to clarify the trend and development process of the Library and Information Science. This study also analysed the difference between two intellectual structure by comparing the structure generated by index term clusters with the existing structure of traditional classification systems.

With the recent development of the ICT (information and communication technology), the revolution of the industry has moved on from the third industry to the fourth. There is no doubt that the companies would not survive in the future without adopting these technologies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the intellectual structure of the internet of things(IoT) literature for the Industry 4.0 to suggest a better insight for the field. The data for this research is extracted from the Web of Science database. Total of 1,631 documents and 72,754 references are used for the research with the analysis program CiteSpace. Author co-citation analysis is used to analyze the intellectual structure and performed clustering, timeline and burst detection analysis. We identified 12 sub-areas of IoT for the Industry 4.0 which are 'Supply Chain', 'Digital Twin', 'Smart Manufacturing System' and etc. Through the timeline analysis we can find out which clusters will increase or decrease its reputation. As concluding remarks, limitations and further research suggestions are discussed.

As the usage of information resources produced in various media and forms has been increased, the importance of metadata as a tool of information organization to describe the information resources becomes increasingly crucial. The purposes of this study are to analyze and to demonstrate the intellectual structure in the field of metadata through co-word analysis. The data set was collected from the journals which were registered in the Core collection of Web of Science citation database during the period from January 1, 1998 to July 8, 2016. Among them, the bibliographic data from 727 journals was collected using Topic category search with the query word 'metadata'. From 727 journal articles, 410 journals with author keywords were selected and after data preprocessing, 1,137 author keywords were extracted. Finally, a total of 37 final keywords which had more than 6 frequency were selected for analysis. In order to demonstrate the intellectual structure of metadata field, network analysis was conducted. As a result, 2 domains and 9 clusters were derived, and intellectual relations among keywords from metadata field were visualized, and proposed keywords with high global centrality and local centrality. Six clusters from cluster analysis were shown in the map of multidimensional scaling, and the knowledge structure was proposed based on the correlations among each keywords. The results of this study are expected to help to understand the intellectual structure of metadata field through visualization and to guide directions in new approaches of metadata related studies.

This study aims to introduce an emerging prescriptive analytics method and suggest its efficient application to a category-based service system. Prescriptive analytics method provides the whole process of analysis and available alternatives as well as the results of analysis. To simulate the process of optimization, large scale journal articles have been collected and categorized by classification scheme. In the process of applying the concept of prescriptive analytics to a real system, we have fused a dynamic automatic-categorization method for large scale documents and intellectual structure analysis method for scholarly subject fields. The test result shows that some optimized scenarios can be generated efficiently and utilized effectively for reorganizing the classification-based service system.

This study aims to analyze electronic records research domains and trends and to suggest future direction of electronic records research in Korea. One hundred and sixty one articles published in seven domestic journals from 1999 to 2011 were statistically analysed to find out the productivity of electronic records research. Analysis of intellectual structure using descriptor profiling and author profiling as a technique of text mining were performed with those same papers. Some proposals on the future research direction in this field were made.

In Korean Studies, there have been made many studies for finding the identity as the intrinsic academic field, because the Korean studies have complex intertwined characteristics with other fields. However, previous related studies have been mostly focused on the qualitative content analysis method related to the major Korean Studies, the study applying the bibliometric method was not conducted. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to draw intellectual structures about the domestic and overseas Korean studies academic papers applying the bibliometric methods, and to analyze content of intellectual structures by focus group interview (FGI). As the result of this study, the intellectual structure in the domestic Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Humanities, and the intellectual structure in the foreign Korean Studies had the characteristics of the Social Sciences. Also, the domestic Korean Studies encompassed a wide range of period from ancient to modern times, while the foreign Korean Studies focused on a modern and contemporary times. This study has a significance in the way that it is the first study to draw the intellectual structures in the domestic and foreign Korean Studies applying the bibliometric method, and then to carry out the comprehensive analysis through FGI with specialists in Korean Studies. However, in order to do more meaningful one-to-one comparison studies about the field of the domestic and foreign Korean Studies, many follow-up co-studies reflecting diverse opinions of many researchers in Korean Studies will be necessary.

This study aims to analyze and to demonstrate the research trends and intellectual structure in the field of catalog in the 2000s and 2010s through co-word analysis. The field of catalog had firmly established its own research area and Many differences were found in research trends and intellectual structures in the 2000s and 2010s. First, the average number of articles decreased by 4.2 in the 2010s compared to the 2000s, but the number of author keywords was not significantly different. Only 22.2% of keywords appeared more than three times in both periods, and 77.8% of keywords appeared more than three times in one period. Second, in terms of intellectual structure, the 2000s, represented by three-level clusters, formed a more complex network than the 2010s, represented by two-level clusters. Third, as a result of examining the changes in the characteristics of each cluster, there were some research topics with few changes, but many research topics were more actively progressed or subdivided, and decreased. The results of this study are meaningful in that they can visually grasp the intellectual structure along with the trend of the age of catalogue, and can prepare for related education and research by predicting the future.

This research fulfills two objectives of the study relating to the analysis of changing intellectual structure and its development of Korean history during 1980s: 1) investigation of intellectural structures of two successive time periods using author co-citation study analysis: 2) validation of the results of author co-citation analysis using assessments of experts collected from scholarly reviews and direct data drawn from the researchers in the area of Korean history. Three approaches to multivariate analysis as multi-dimensional scaling, cluster analysis, and factor analysis are used to display the inter-author relationships in the author similarity matrix.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze academic papers published by North Korean scientists, to uncover major areas of research in North Korean science and technology, and to uncover the intellectual structures that underlie these science and technology. Through quantitative analysis, it is to find out who the main research actors are, what research areas are being dealt with, which research areas last a long time, which areas have been discontinued, and which research areas are receiving new attention. In order to detect major research areas and intellectual bases in North Korean science and technology, North Korean scientists' articles were collected from WoS (SCIE). CiteSpace, a scientific quantitative analysis tool, was used to identify major research areas based on author simultaneous citation analysis. The main research areas in North Korea are found to be material properties, vibration analysis, incline matrice, sodium cointercalation, and external magnetic field.

Research on changes in research trends in academic disciplines is a method that enables observation of not only the detailed research subject and structure of the field but also the state of change in the flow of time. Therefore, in this study, in order to observe the changes of research trend in library and information science field in Korea, co-word analysis was conducted with Korean author keywords from three types of journals which were listed in the Korea Citation Index(KCI) and have top citation impact factor were selected. For the time series analysis, the 15-year research period was accumulated in 5-years units, and divided into 2003~2007, 2003~2012, and 2003~2017. The keywords which limited to the frequency of appearance 10 or more, respectively, were analyzed and visualized. As a result of the analysis, during the period from 2003 to 2007, the intellectual structure composed with 25 keywords and 8 areas was confirmed, and during the period from 2003 to 2012, the structure composed by 3 areas 17 sub-areas with 76 keywords was confirmed. Also, the intellectual structure during the period from 2003 to 2017 was crowded into 6 areas 32 consisting of a total of 132 keywords. As a result of comprehensive period analysis, in the field of library and information science in Korea, over the past 15 years, new keywords have been added for each period, and detailed topics have also been subdivided and gradually segmented and expanded.
