The metadata elements of TV programs were designed based on PBCore (Public Broadcasting Metadata Dictionary), which is useful descriptive metadata for TV programs, and on interview results with TV program records managers. TV program information was visualized to extract core information and build a proper schema. Through this analysis, detailed metadata elements were designed in four representative areas: intellectual content, intellectual property, instantiation and extensions.

전자상거래(e-commerce)의 발달은 과거의 전통적인 상거래를 IT기술을 이용한, 새로운 시장구조를 제공하고 있다. 특히 인터넷을 통한 소프트웨어, 게임, 동영상 등 디지털 컨텐츠(digital contents)에 대한 상거래가 크게 증가하고 있어, 이러한 디지털 컨텐츠의 유통에 신뢰를 제공할 수 있는 시스템, 즉 디지털 저작권관리(digital rights management system), 또는 디지털 지적 저작권관리(digital intellectual property system)에 대한 유통 비즈니스 모델이 필요하다. XrML은 권리(rights)를 명시하는 언어로써 본 연구는 XrML을 이용하여 저작권관리에 필요한 권리구조를 구현한 시스템(prototype)을 표현했다. 벤츠와 그에 따른 서비스들을 사용할 수 있는 권리와 조건들을 명시해준다. XrML은 현재 디지털 저작권관리(Digital Rights Management: DIPR)에 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 Rights Language이다. XrML은 ContentGuard가 개발한 DIPR 서술 언어로 전 세계 산업계 표준으로 추진하기 위하여 파트너 회사 확대, 기능 확장, 무료 / 공개 형식으로 보급을 추진중이다.

In recent years, advanced in digital technologies have created significant changes in the way we reproduce, distribute and market Intellectual Property (IP). DRM for multicast contents is complicated risk, the further technology development and human demand, this approaching is still being researched by the scientist and all by the company which is conducting in piracy management reduced, and every country has national policy to make this consortium to limit piracy properties, based on this paper research development, just only two approaching to reduce piracy in DRM they are Industrial Property (IP) and Copyright. In this paper, we are not only figuring and analyzing about the processes to reduce and limit the piracy and unprotected copy law but also describing about the encryption process, watermarking and digital signature process algorithms. The basic concepts of this encryption process for web-based multicast content in DRM are implemented in Java. We conduct this method is a computerized through web based application system approaching to reduce unprotected copy and piracy. Which is used in DRM for multicast content in every section, by providing a fundamental in information technology development, we believe this research is reliable to prove that is unprotected copy, and piracy can be reduced by protecting with this paradigm.

특허청에서 수행한 특허관리 실태조사에 의하면 기초적 특허관리의 출발점인 발명신고의 형식적인 운영, 전략적 특허관리의 출발점인 출원 전 심사, 보유 특허의 유지/포기 심사 등, 체계적인 심사평가의 운영체계 미비, 효율적 특허관리를 위한 직무발명 및 보상규정, 특허관리규정(발명신고, 출원, 선행기술조사, 등록, 유지 및 포기 등)과 이와 관련된 양식의 미비 등이 문제점으로 보고되고 있다. 따라서, 기업과 기관의 특허관리의 질적 제고를 위해서는 특허 등 지식재산의 효율적이고 전략적인 관리를 위해 특허관리 인력들이 쉽게 접근하고 활용할 수 있는 시스템의 보급이 필요하다. 특히, 효율적인 특허관리를 위해 기초가 되는 관련 규정, 양식 및 그 활용법, 효과적인 특허관리에 대한 업무 프로세스 등에 관한 통합관리 시스템 및 보급이 선행되어야 할 것이다.

Due to illegal copying and distribution via the internet, the digital media that have been introduced create certain intellectual property issues. Because of this, several intellectual property groups have been created to create and maintain Digital Rights Management systems (DRM), in order to crack down on illegal and unauthorized copying. However, these systems are often created by many different companies, which leads to problems of interoperability. In this paper, we designed and implemented a DRM system with streamer, following the DMP.

It is issued that protecting and managing a copyright are very important to a digitization of multimedia contents. We analyze the trend of a multimedia service, IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection), DMP(Digital Media Project), ENTHRONE(End-to-end Qos through Integrated Management of Content, Networks and Terminals), and DRM(Digital Rights Management). All of these techniques are for developing solution about protection and management of the copyright and media service. These have been at the head of the growth of the whole media service, but cause problems such as a illegal copy and distribution. To solve these problems, researchers are performing many projects.

It is well known that in the knowledge-based economy a firm's intellectual property including patent is crucial for its competitive advantage. In industrial economy, tangible assets such as land and equipment have been of critical importance for a firm's competitiveness. However, as the paradigm shift to the knowledge-base economy is being accelerated, intangible assets such as intellectual property are considered to be more influential for a firm to be competitive. The valuation of intangible asset is as necessary as that of tangible asset. In particular, reasonably accurate valuation of patent which represents a firm's technological competitiveness seems to be of great importance since (1) it is essential for a firm's patent strategy development, (2) it can activate the technology market, and (3) it is necessary to evaluate a patent's technological contribution when multiple patents are used to develop and commercialize an innovative product. Unlike that of tangible asset, the valuation of intangible asset is very difficult. In order to figure out a value of patent it is necessary to use a number of appropriate valuation factors. In this paper, we surveyed various valuation factors presented by previous researches and several technology valuation organizations to find a set of common valuation factors considered to be of more importance.

This paper presents the response strategy taken by the both parties who possess and infringe the patent rights in the case of patent litigation occurring in local companies. It is common that many entrepreneurs suffer from patent judgment litigation related to the intellectual property rights. Response strategy on the standpoints of patentees and trespassers are discussed in several cases such as infringement and abuse of patent rights, divulgence of trade secret and invention during employment in small & medium sized enterprises.

Metabus, currently represented by Second Life on the Internet, is the next-generation 3DCG Internet world in which the 2D Internet world has evolved, and has grown as a new ICT culture of mankind that can replace real society with virtual society. As such, the reason why the world of metabus has rapidly expanded is that the era of 3D Internet has arrived due to the evolution of the Internet, which only used information, and the spread of 5G communication in user-participating WEB. However, there are many situations in which laws do not exist in this virtual world and various illegal acts occur. As the Internet culture developed earlier, illegal activities by users began to appear, and as the legal responsibility of Internet providers was discussed, mankind quickly passed the Millennium Copyright Act or introduced new copyright protection measures such as technical protection, transmission rights, and rights management information. Therefore, this paper reviews and studies how to accept and further grow this new metabus culture, including the viewpoint of intellectual property.

Every country of the world in the 21st century is going to push forward the policy protecting their intellectual property right, and international movement to protect their intellectual right is still more strengthened. Under these situations, the firm is required to seek for more efficient methods of technology security and business management while the existence of business itself is at risk. The control of intellectual properties in business should be considered in the patent management. In the company, the industrial property right should be into one of the management resource, and its importance has great influence on the existence of the company. The information in patent data can be used for strategic planning purposes. This study systematically evaluates the patenting behaviour of sample of 27 business firms within the Korean metal industry. Utilizing the patent application data between 2000 and 2005, the relationship between these patenting management and company performance is analysed. This study showed that patent activity per employee and labor productivity are positive relationship, but patent activity per employee and firm size are negative relationship. Since a positive relationship between patenting and company performance could be shown, patent activity gains important as a instrument for R&D planning.
