Development of Web-based High Throughput Computing Environment and Its Applications (웹기반 대용량 계산환경 구축 및 응용사례)

  • Many engineering problems often require the large amount of computing resources for iterative simulations of problems treating many parameters and input files. In order to overcome the situation, this paper proposes an e-Science based computational system. The system exploits the Grid computing technology to establish an integrated web service environment which supports distributed high throughput computational simulations and remote executions. The proposed system provides an easy-to-use parametric study service where a computational service includes real time monitoring. To verify usability of the proposed system, two kinds of applications were introduced. The first application is an Aerospace Integrated Research System (e-AIRS). The e-AIRS adapts the proposed computational system to solve CFD problems. The second one is design and optimization of protein 3-dimensional structures.

  • For a recent most companies to make efficient business management, we are using a groupware service of integrated information system of the entire group. Groupware service integrates the cooperation in excellent synergy and duplicates has been business functions of the business, through the improvement of multi-purpose business processing capacity, there is an advantage of reduced operating costs. However, if the parent company and subsidiary, or to handle common tasks such information agency, which may cause differences in the format of the data passed in the case of a need to provide a document. Therefore, in this paper, in order to solve the heterogeneity problem in data between groups, the data system of the hub base of the cloud is provided. The proposed system is intended to improve the groupware environment including the interoperability of integrated standardized environmental data sharing service.

  • In this paper, the on-going effort and progress for developing an integrated software for automated CFD application is described. As an outcome of the effort devoted so far, a new system, ICFDIT, is developed and introduced in this paper. The new system can be used to solve fluid dynamics problems in a convenient graphical environment, and it includes a pre-processor, a main-processor, and a post-processor. Usage of the system and examples are demonstrated, and some issues for improvement of the system are discussed.

Development of 3D CSGNSS/DR Integrated System for Precise Ground-Vehicle Trajectory Estimation (고정밀 차량 궤적 추정을 위한 3 차원 CSGNSS/DR 융합 시스템 개발)

  • This paper presents a 3D carrier-smoothed GNSS/DR (Global Navigation Satellite System/Dead Reckoning) integrated system for precise ground-vehicle trajectory estimation. For precise DR navigation on sloping roads, the AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) methodology is employed. By combining the integrated carrier phase of GNSS and DR sensor measurements, a vehicle trajectory with an accuracy of less than 20cm is obtained even when cycle slip or change of visibility occur. In order to supplement the weak GNSS environment with DR successfully, the DR sensor is precisely compensated for using GNSS Doppler measurements when GNSS visibility is good. By integrating a multi-GNSS receiver with low-cost IMU, a precise 3D navigation system for land vehicles is proposed in this paper. For real-time implementation, a decoupled Kalman filter is employed in the integrated system. Through field experiments, the performance of the proposed system is verified in various road environments, including sloping roads, good-visibility areas, high multi-path areas, and under-ground parking areas.

  • With the development of artificial intelligence technology, drones are evolving beyond simple remote control tools into intelligent drones that perform missions autonomously. The importance of drones is gradually gaining attention due to the use of drones in overseas military conflicts and the analysis of the future operational environment in Korea. AMAD is proposed for the rapid development of intelligent drones. In order to develop intelligent software based on AMAD, an integrated development environment (IDE) that supports users with functions such as debugging, performance evaluation, and monitoring is essential. In this paper, we define the concepts of the development environment required for intelligent software development and describe the results of reflecting them in the design of the IDE and AMAD's agents, SVI and MPD, which are interfaced with the IDE.

A Study on the Development of GIS Based Integrated DB Management System for Ecological Environmental Management of Yeongsan Estuary (영산강 하구역 생태.환경 관리를 위한 GIS기반의 통합 DB관리시스템 개발)

  • The estuarine area of the ecological environment had been seriously damaged by reckless developments during the past half century. The demand for management in estuarine area increased but the efficient management system did not exist. Therefore the aim of this study is to develop a GIS-based integrated DB management system by integrating the ecological environmental data of each division in estuarine area. To achieve this, the system used integrated DB. It is classified into a surveyed monitoring DB in 2010 at estuarine area of Yeongsan and GIS DB to express the spatial data. The integrated DB management system was developed using VisualBasic.NET languages and Arcobjects component for Map-based spatial analysis. Also, to improve the utilization of data, the composition of GUI(Graphical User Interface) through user needs analysis, the expression of monitoring DB, the priority of layer and the function for modular unit were defined. Ultimately the system was developed based on the defined items. GIS-based integrated DB management system can support to understand the ecological environment in estuarine area of Yeongsan river. Also it will provide the users with effective sharing and environmental management of the data. In the future study, comprehensive diagnosis for ecological environment in estuarine area and the reliable prediction need to be made by connecting modeling system.

An Integrated Sewer Management System using Web Based Predictive Spatial Information System (웹 기반의 공간정보예측시스템을 이용한 통합적 하수도 관리 시스템의 개발 및 적용)

  • Web based integrated sewer management system was developed for the analysis of sewer flow and for the optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue in order to construct user-friendly information management system. The developed system was applied to the residential area in Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of the developed system, and the modeling of sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF, EXTRAN, TRANSPORT in SWMM. This system is now in the process of connection to the management system of stormwater, surface and subsurface environment in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer network and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles, it could serve as a tool not only for the optimal management, but also for the decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

  • A mobile computing environment has many difference in character from conventional communication over wired network. These include very presents distributed design system based the mobile agent for mobile computing environment. To integrate design resource, we presented ISA(Integration Service Agent, which allows a designer to build integrated application using distributed resources, and to collaborative by exchanging service. Also we propose ICM(XML based Intelligent Connection Manger) using mobile agent. And suggested new intelligent data and process transfer architecture using ICM to implement an agent based design system in mobile environment.

  • We intend to improve the navigation system integrated management system that is constructed and operated to meet the changes in marine traffic environment and prevent large-scale marine casualties and human casualties by applying the standard specification of integrated management system of marine traffic facilities in 2012. I t reuses the existing system resources and improves the operating software and standardizes the system installation to facilitate operation and maintenance.
