Recent power industries are to be progressed as moving into horizontal markets and expanding of competitive systems through promoting SmartGrid. In these environments, the information on power consumers leads to establish a part of power markets through active and real-time participations instead of participating it as a passive manner presented by a vertical integration. Also, such information should be established as a way that effectively reflects changes and market behaviors occurred in power market participants. Therefore, in this study, a method that develops consumer information models, performs integrated managements, implements registration and distribution, and forms integrated management centers is presented to commonly use the consumer information according to the change in the environment of power industries.

This paper presents an integrated but open product development environment for distributed and collaborative design. The web-based framework, called DOME, allows designers to build integrated models using both local and distributed resources, and to collaborate by exchanging services in a network-centric product development environment. Thus, an integrated model can be created while each participant focuses on his or her own area of expertise. A design problem model is created by connecting modules, which represent specific system components, analysis capabilities/software, disciplines, or organizations relevant to the problem. The modules interact with each other using service exchanges based upon the CORBA standard communication protocol. The goal of this framework is tall provide the ability to rapidly construct integrated design problem models to facilitate collaborative design work, improve product quality and reduce development time. Ultimately, it should allow specialized engineering applications and design problem models to operate under a common design environment.

To investigate groundwater variation characteristics in the Hancheon watershed, Jeju Island, an integrated hydrologic component analysis was carried out. For this purpose, SWAT-MODFLOW which is an integrated surface-groundwater model was applied to the watershed for continuous watershed hydrologic analysis as well as groundwater modeling. First, ephemeral stream characteristics of Hancheon watershed can be clearly simulated which is unlikely to be shown by a general watershed hydrologic model. Second, the temporally varied groundwater recharge can be properly obtained from SWAT and then spatially distributed groundwater recharge can be made by MODFLOW. Finally, the groundwater level variation was simulated with distributed groundwater pumping data. Since accurate recharge as well as abstraction can be reflected into the groundwater modeling, more realistic hydrologic component analysis and groundwater modeling could be possible.

The need for urban-scale energy simulation is increasing as the world is aware of urgency to decrease $CO_2$ emission. As a bridge of building energy simulation and that of urban, this paper presents a case study to examine the effect of changing resolution of a model in case of complex apartment unit. Also it suggests a modeling strategy to correct differences caused by simplification of the model and evaluate the extent of its use.

In this paper, we consider an inventory system where a single supplier purchases and processes raw materials into finished goods in order to deliver finished goods to a single buyer for effective implementation of Just-In-Time Purchasing. An integrated multi-item lot-splitting model of facilitating multiple shipments in small lots between buyer and supplier is developed in a JIT Purchasing environment. Also, an iterative solution procedure is developed to find the order quantity for finished goods and raw materials, and number of shipments between buyer and supplier. We show by numerical example that when the integrated policy is adopted by both buyer and supplier in a cooperative manner, both parties can benefit.

This paper is to present linkage parameter to integrate statistical models and physical models for accelerated life test. Statistical models represent the relationship of probability distribution and life. Physical models show the relationship of life and stress. Moreover, this study proposes the four steps for construction of integrated models for accelerated life test using linkage parameter. Finally, this paper develops new integrated models such as extreme value distribution-general Eyring, linearly increasing failure rate function-general Eyring, etc., and estimates various reliability measures.

An object-oriented design was carried out for the digital photogrammetric processes. Classes were identified and implemented to develop an integrated digital photogrammetry system using a 3 dimensional self-calibration model for CCD cameras. This integrated system is deemed to be a significant progress from the conventional photogrammetric system which is a series of discrete processes. Object oriented methodology was selected for the implementation of the integrated photogrammetric system because it would be a very complex task to get the same result using a procedural programming language. Besides the simplification of development effort, object oriented methodology has further benefits of better management of program in case when updates to parts of the program are necessary. Using the classes designed in this study, a 3 dimensional self-calibration model was developed for a CCD camera. Classes for data input and image handling as well as classes for bundle adjustment were implemented. The bundle adjustment system was further enhanced with member functions to handle additional parameters for principal point coordinates and focal length, thereby, enabling the application to non-metric CCD cameras.

본 연구의 목적은 문화유산 관련 기관에서 개별적으로 관리하고 있는 문화유산 정보자원을 보다 일반인에게 쉽게 접근하고 활용성을 높일 수 있는 문화유산 아카이브 통합 서비스 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 국내 문화유산을 관리, 보존하고 있는 문화재청 소속기관의 아카이브 현황을 분석하고 활용가치가 높은 문화유산 정보자원의 통합 서비스를 위해 다중개체 모형의 문화유산 메타데이터 모델을 제안하고 국내외 데이터 연계 모델 표준의 적용가능성을 검토하였다.

This paper proposes a DEA-AR model for the efficiency evaluation of the iron ore brands in an integrated steel mill. The input factor is defined as unit cost of each brand based on CIF and two output factors are chosen as Fe and Al which are the important ingredients of iron ore. The relative importance between two output factors is determined by several experts using AHP model. The efficiency of each brand is determined using DEA and DEA-AR models. The negative correlation between the DEA-AR efficiency and the unit cost (CIF) is shown as significant whereas no significant correlation exist between the efficiency and the output factors. Also, the Kruskal Wallis rank sum test shows that there exist efficiency differences among the iron ore types whereas no difference is shown among the countries. The result could be utilized in selecting good brands of iron ores based on the DEA-AR efficiency in an integrated steel mill.

This paper propose an advanced control strategy to improve vehicle handling and directional stability by integrating Active Front Steering(AFS) with Electronic Stability Program(ESP) . The effect of the integrated control system on the vehicle handling characteristics and directional stability is studied through a close loop computer simulation of and eight degree of freedom nonlinear vehicle model and driver model. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control system and the overall improvements in vehicle handling and directional stability
