전기철도용 견인전동기의 복합가속열화 상태진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Complex Accelerating Degradation and Condition Diagnosis of Traction Motor for Electric Railway)

  • In this study, the stator form-winding sample coils based on silicone resin and polyimide were made for fault prediction and reliability estimation on the C-Class(200$\^{C}$ ) insulation system of traction motors. The complex accelerative degradation was periodically performed during 10 cycles, which was composed of thermal stress, fast rising surge voltage, vibration, water immersion and overvoltage applying. After aging of 10 cycles, the condition diagnosis test such as insulation resistance '||'&'||' polarization index, capacitance '||'&'||' dielectric loss and partial discharge properties were investigated in the temperature range of 20 ∼ 160$\^{C}$. Relationship among condition diagnosis tests was analyzed to find a dominative degradation factor and an insulation state at end-life point.

  • Treeing due to partial discharge(PD) is one of the main causes of breakdown of the insulating materials and reduction of tile insulation life. Therefore the necessity for establishing a method to diagnose the aging of insulation materials and to predict the breakdown of insulation has become important. From this viewpoint, our studies diagnose insulation degradation using the method of computer sensing system, which has the advantages of PD and acoustic emission(AE) sensing system. To use advantages of these two methods can be used effectively to search for treeing location and PD in some materials. In analysis method of degradation. using statically operator such as the center of gravity (G). the gradient of the discharge distribution(C), we have analyzed far tole prediction of life which we can be obtained the time, occurred of many pulse of small discharge amplitude.

가속열화에 따른 페놀수지 절연재료의 트래킹 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Tracking Characteristics of Phenolic Resin Insulation Material Due to Accelerated Degradation)

  • 본 논문은 가속열화에 따른 페놀수지 절연재료의 트래킹 특성에 관한 연구이다. 페놀수지 절연재료의 절연열화를 위해 가속수명 시험방법 중 아레니우스 방정식을 이용한 가속열화 실험을 진행하여 등가연수 0년, 10년, 20년, 30년, 40년 된 실험시료를 제작하였다. 그 후 가속열화된 실험시료를 대상으로 KS C IEC 60112 기준에 의한 트래킹 실험을 진행하였다. 가속열화에 따른 페놀수지의 트래킹 특성 측정결과 염화암모늄 0.1% 적하 시 등가수명 0년을 기준으로 위험성이 등가수명 10년 1.38배, 20년 1.45배, 30년 1.62배, 40년 1.94배 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 염화암모늄 0.01% 적하 시 등가수명 년을 기준으로 위험성이 등가수명 10년 1.39배, 20년 1.52배, 30년 1.99배, 40년 5.30배 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 실험 결과 노후화에 따른 절연열화가 오래될수록 트래킹 위험성이 커지는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 등가수명 40년의 경우 그 위험성이 크게 증가하는 것으로 관측되었다. 따라서 노후화에 따른 절연열화 등의 위험성을 고려하여 제도적으로 권장 교체주기를 마련해 주는 것이 전기화재 발생 가능성 및 위험성을 최소화할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • Electrical equipment for railway is always experiencing wear and degradation by mechanical, electrical and environmental stress in service and the fault or the accident of high voltage main circuit directly causes operation interruption. Particularly propulsion drive of high speed switching inverter takes the form of specific degradation mechanism such as fast rising transient surge, reflective overvoltage and harmonic stress, and it is known that it threatens the long life and the reliability of electrical equipment. In this paper, statistics of fault and accident on main electrical equipment for railway are presented and also insulation degradation mechanism, which governs end life of electrical device, is analyzed. Finally the method of fault respondence and reliability improvement on the main electrical equipments will be reviewed in order to prevent operation interruption.

Investigation on Oil-paper Degradation Subjected to Partial Discharge Using Chaos Theory

  • In this paper, oil-paper samples composed of transformer windings were used to investigate the insulation degradation process subjected to partial discharge (PD), with artificial defects inside to simulate the PD induced insulation degradation. To determine appropriate test voltages, the breakdown time obtained through a group of accelerated electrical degradation tests under high voltages was firstly fitted by two-parameter Weibull model to acquire the average breakdown time, which was then applied to establish the inverse power law life model to choose advisable test voltages. During the electrical degradation process, PD signals were synchronously detected by an ultra-high frequency (UHF) sensor from inception to breakdown. For PD analysis, the whole degradation process was divided into ten stages, and chaos theory was introduced to analyze the variation of three chaotic parameters with the development of electrical degradation, namely the largest Lyapunov exponent, correlation dimension and Komogorov entropy of PD amplitude time series. It is shown that deterministic chaos of PD is confirmed during the oil-paper degradation process, and the obtained results provide a new effective tool for the diagnosis of degradation of oil-paper insulation subjected to PD.

Lifetime Assessment for Oil-Paper Insulation using Thermal and Electrical Multiple Degradation

  • In this paper, in order to investigate the lifetime of oil-paper insulation, specimens were artificially aged with thermal and electrical multiple stresses. Accelerated ageing factors and equivalent operating years for each aging temperatures were derived from results of tensile strengths for the aged paper specimens. Also, the evaluation for the multi-stress aged specimens were carried out through the measurement of impulse breakdown voltage at high temperature of $85^{\circ}C$. The lifetimes of the oil-paper insulations were calculated with the value of 66.7 for 1.0 mm thickness specimens and 69.7 for 1.25 mm thickness specimens throughout the analysis of impulse BD voltages using equivalent operating years, which means that dielectric strengths would not be severely decreased until the mechanical lifetime limit. Therefore, for the lifetime evaluation of the oil-paper insulation, thermal aging would be considered as a dominant factor whereas electrical degradation would be less effective.

  • In this paper, study on the properties of the thermal degradated epoxy resin which is used in indoor insulation apparatus is performed to investigate the problems of the decreasing insulation characteristics and crack in the indoor insulation apparatus. As a parameter of variation, SEM, contact angle, surface resistivity, relative dielectric constant and weight loss are measured. As the results of the above measurements, the contact angle and surface resistivity of the epoxy resin has increased to 200$^{\circ}C$ in but at the above 200$^{\circ}C$ the values have decreased. The relative dielectric constants the thermal treated samples have increased on with the temperature increase. We find the volatile components of the epoxy resin compound has disappeared during thermal degradation by SEM. The insulation properties of the epoxy resin have increased by the 200$^{\circ}C$ but decreased in the above 200$^{\circ}C$.

IV 및 HIV 절연전선의 가속열화에 따른 절연피복의 성능변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Change of Insulation Sheath Due to Accelerated Degradation of IV and HIV Insulated Wire)

  • 본 논문은 IV 및 HIV 절연전선의 가속열화에 따른 절연피복의 성능변화에 관한 연구이다. IV 및 HIV 절연전선의 절연열화를 가정하기 위해 가속수명시험 모형 중 아레니우스 방정식을 이용한 가속수명시험을 진행하였고, 등가수명 0년, 10년, 20년, 30년, 40년 실험시료를 제작하였다. IV 및 HIV 절연전선의 가속열화가 진행됨에 따라 최대인장하중은 커지는 반면, 절연전선의 신장률, 파단시간, 유연성이 점차 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적인 주사전자현미경을 이용한 등가수명별 절연전선 표면 분석 결과 가속열화가 진행됨에 따라 시료 표면에 결정형 구조 및 천공 등의 현상이 발생되어 노후화에 따른 절연열화가 진행 될수록 절연체의 기계적 특성이 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 절연성능 저하에 따른 전기화재 위험성을 사전에 예방하기 위해선 건축물 내에 설치되는 절연체의 성능저하를 고려한 제도적인 절연전선의 교체 및 보수시기의 마련이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.
