The research objective was to identify the effect of various instruction media on improving students' foodservice management competencies and for increasing class satisfaction. The research involved a comparison of two student groups. One group consisted of students who attended a lecture-based food purchasing class (Group A). The other group was students who attended the same class, and who also used various media as well as receiving the lecture (Group B). The results were as follows: 1) After a 16 week program, Group B perceived their procurement management competencies to be higher than those of Group A, especially in setting up purchasing goals, marketing research, and using computer systems for procurement; 2) In terms of class satisfaction, it was also observed that Group B was more satisfied with food purchasing class than was Group A. Group B gave high scores, especially in effective utilization of media, increasing motivation, and understanding; 3) Group B perceived that various instruction media was helpful for developing their procurement management competencies. Respondents evaluated the usefulness of media in the following order: using Power Point watching videos, visiting web-sites for food purchasing class, and surfing the World Wide Web. The results of the research show that using various instruction media for food purchasing classes would improve students' foodservice management competencies. Therefore, instructors who teach foodservice management related courses should consider developing teaching strategies that apply various instruction media for students to enhance their foodservice management competencies and to increase class satisfaction.

In this case a new instructional community consisted of a teacher librarian, a korean language teacher, a korean history teacher and a korean geography teacher of the 10th grade. The community developed integrated learning topics connected with subject-specific classes and designed LAI's instructional strategy. Finally learning and assessment toolkits containing information problem solving and resources using model were designed by this community. This method can provide students with enough time in using resources and teach information literacy systematically. Also it will help teacher librarians improve leadership and partnership in the school community.

Applying iterative learning utilizing SNS & Community to the class for pre-kindergarten teachers, the effectiveness of teaching satisfaction, self-efficacy, and curriculum understanding was verified. A iterative learning model utilizing SNS & Community in teachers leading traditional off-line teaching at college education field was applied separately into thinking to one-self by advance organizer, thinking together by presentation in the beginning of the class, and sharing the thoughts by community activities after the class. Iterative learning begins by being sent SNS to students from teachers before the class, but learners for themselves subsequently start to proceed self-directed learning activities. As a result, class satisfaction and understanding of pedagogy have been increased, and it had a positive influence on self-efficacy. Thus, it is to suggest utilizable SNS of professors and a teaching method utilizing Community to college students who need basic learning skills.

Method: This study targeted totally 76 undergraduates (39 people for experimental group, 37 people for control group) at J university where is located in J province, from June 8, 2009 to June 12. The analytical method was performed by using SPSS WIN 12.0 Version program. Results: In difference before and after education of the skill performance accuracy in AED between groups, the experimental group(2.89) was higher compared to the control group(2.75). In difference before and after education of knowledge in AED between groups, the experimental group(2.03) was higher compared to the control group(1.82). In difference before and after education of attitude toward AED between groups, the control group(2.14) was higher compared to the experimental group(1.85). The purpose of this study was to investigate beginning science teachers' perceptions of inquiry-based science instruction using open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview. Participants of this study voluntarily set up a goal of inquiry-based science instruction, planned inquiry-based science lessons, and shared and reflected their teaching experiences in their professional learning community for more than a year. Participant teachers recognized students' construction of core scientific concepts through performing scientific inquiry as a goal of science inquiry instruction. Participant teachers indicated that goals of science education such as 'learning scientific core concepts', 'improving students' interest of science', 'improving scientific thinking', and 'understanding the nature of science' can be achieved through students' active engagement in scientific inquiry. Participant teachers recognized not only the importance of teachers' role, but also what roles science teachers should play in order to enable students to perform scientific inquiry. Participant teachers emphasized teachers' roles such as 'identifying core concepts', 'reorganizing science curriculum', 'considering student ability', 'asking questions and providing feedbacks to students', 'explaining scientific concepts', and 'leading students' argumentation.'

With the rapid industrialization and the advent of the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the importance of character education is on the rise. The purpose of this study is to develop the Instructional model that can make the school classroom as a democratic learning community based on general classes and naturally realize the character education in addition to the other subject-matter education. A draft of the instructional model was implemented to confirm that the factors of the character education in mathematics could be improved. The toughness index was measured by using the Character Scale for School Mathematics(CSSM) before and after implementation. Based on the results of the measurement, we completed a P (personal) instruction model and a S (social) instruction model that can enhance the factors of the character education in mathematics based on the democratic learning community through the advisory committee.
