순시전압강하 보상 기능을 가지는 무정전전원공급장치의 개발 (Development of Uninterruptible Power Supply with Voltage Sag Restorer Function)

  • In this paper, UPS, with a built-in instantaneous sag drop compensation features, was developed to improve performance. The improved UPS, using instantaneous moving average method, compensates by quickly measuring the voltage and series inverter of half-bridge type, using line-interactive method that links with the voltage of the battery and power source, was developed. In addition, by developing a parallel inverter that uses a high-efficiency PWM switching method, overall UPS system was enhanced. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, single-phase 5[kVA] UPS systems were designed and the experimental system was constructed. The low-cost type of Cortex-M3 module CPU STM32F103R8T6 (32[bit]) is attached and the switching time of mode transfer was set within 4 [ms]. THD of the linear load operates in less than 3[%], and the stability of the output voltage operates in approximately ${\pm}2[%]$ range. The superior performance of the operations was confirmed with the system set as above.

  • Inverter is classified into voltage source and current source by the circuit's configuration. VSI (voltage source inverter) has the excellent generality, economical effects and high power-factors. CSI (current source inverter) is proper to frequent acceleration and deceleration of induction motor, the energy recovering accomplished to ac power line without any other device. But CSI inverter have some troubles such that the numbers of components are increased and the circuits are complicated. To solve these problems, a new inverter is proposed in this paper. This method gives protection of inverters when appears both an instantaneous load-open circuits and an instantaneous load-short circuits, and it has the both merits of both VSI and CSI.

해상 표적의 실제 레이다 측정 데이터를 이용한 ISAR 영상 형성 기법 성능 비교 (Comparisons of ISAR Imaging Methods for Maritime Targets with Real Measured Radar Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 X-밴드 대역에서 운영되는 레이다 장비를 이용하여 실제 이동하는 해상 표적을 대상으로 역합성 개구면 레이다(Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar: ISAR) 영상 생성 기법들의 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 성능 비교에 사용된 ISAR 영상 생성 기법들은 1) 거리 순시 도플러(Range Instantaneous Doppler: RID) 기법, 2) 위상보상(phase adjustment) 수행 후의 거리 도플러(Range Doppler: RD) 기법, 그리고 3) 주요 산란원 기법(Prominent Point Proccessing: PPP) 수행 후의 RD 기법들이 있다. 본 논문에서 수행된 성능 비교 결과는 향후 실제 해상 이동 표적의 ISAR 영상 생성을 위한 기반 기술 확보 및 기본 프레임워크(frame work) 구축을 위한 지표를 제공한다는데 그 의의가 있다.

  • 본 논문은 배전계통의 전력품질 개선을 위한 순시 전압강하 보상기의 제어 알고리즘에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 특별히 순시적인 전압강하의 원인중 가장 대표적인 1선 지락사고 시에 발생하는 불평형과 비대칭 문제를 해석하기 위하여 새로운 대칭성분 검출 기법을 제안하였다. 제안되 방법은 간단한 연산만을 사용하며, 전압보상을 위한 대칭성분의 제어 기준값이 별도의 위상검출 과정을 거치지 않고도 직류 값으로 표현되도록 하였다. 그리고 기준전압의 발생 시에 IEC에서 규정하고 있는 UF와 MF를 사용하도록 하였다. 제안된 제어기법을 사용하면 보상장치는 매우 빠른 응답특성을 가지고 보상된 전압 파형의 총고조파왜형률(THD)도 매우 낮게 된다. 마지막으로 EMTDC 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 제안된 방법의 타당성을 입증하였다.

전원전압의 불평형 및 왜곡에 강인한 3상 4선식 전력용 능동 필터의 설계 (Design of the Robust Active Power Filter under the Unbalanced and Distorted Source Voltages in Three-phase Four-wire Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 PQR 순시전력 이론을 적용하여 3상 4선식 배전망에서 전원전압의 불평형 및 왜곡에 강인하게 동작하는 전력용 능동 필터의 제어기를 디지털적으로 설계한다. 인버터의 교류측 필터의 특성을 분석하고, 디지털 제어시스템이 내재적으로 갖고 있는 시간지연문제를 극복할 수 있는 우수한 성능의 제어기구조를 제안하며, 제어 이득을 설계한다. 전류 고조파 및 중성선 전류 고조파를 감소시키기 위하여 제어기 구조와 3중 비교삼각파 사용을 제안하고 제어 이득을 설계하였다. 디지털 구현이 용이한 삼각파 비교 PWM을 보상전류 제어 방식으로 채택하였다. 설계된 전력용 능동 필터를 PSiM 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하고 전류 응답성이 뛰어난 히스테리시스 PMW 결과와 비교 분석하였다.

  • Experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of axial forcing on the flame structures near the nozzle exit of non-premixed flame. The most notable observation is that the direction of vortical motions is changed at some ranges, according to the increase of excitation amplitude. Especially, the elongation flame and the phenomenon of In-burning are always occurred when the vortical motion turnabout. In an analysis of the flame/flow visualization by means of direct photography and RMS technique, a plausible explanation can be made that above phenomena are related only to the amplitude of phase average velocity between the instantaneous velocity elements of excited flow.

  • With significant development of power electronics technology the proliferation of nonlinear loads such as such as static power converters has deteriorated power quality in power transmission distribution systems. Notably voltage harmonics resulting from current harmonies produced by the nonlinear loads have become a serious problem in many systems Moreover momentary interruptions and voltage sags are responsible for many of the power quality problems found in typical industrial plants. Int his paper proposed 3 phase hybrid series active power filter is not only for harmonic compensation but also for harmonic isolation between supply and load and for voltage regulation and imbalance compensation Through computer simulations we have verified the effectiveness of the proposed system.

Modeling of shunt active power filter using PSCAD/EMTDC

  • In this paper, a shunt active power filter (SAPF) has been used to eliminate the harmonic distortion and to improve the power quality of three-phase grid-connected power conditioning system (PCS). The adopted control strategy in active power filter system is based on the instantaneous reactive power theory (P-Q theory). Based on the theoretical analysis, the overall system of three-phase grid-connected with non-linear load PCS has been built and modeled using PSCAD$^{(R)}$/EMTDC$^{TM}$. The simulation results are shown to verify the high effective performance of the implemented SAPF in power system and to verify the reasonableness of the system structure.

An ANN Controlled Three-Phase Auto-Tuned Passive Filter for Harmonic and Reactive Power Compensation

  • Automatically tuned passive filters can improve power quality to a great extent in power systems. A novel three-phase shunt auto-tuned filter is designed to effectively compensate source current harmonics and to provide reactive power required by the non-linear load, which draws a highly reactive, harmonic-rich current from the supply. An artificial neural network (ANN) based controller selects filter component values in accordance with reactive power requirement and harmonic compensation. Traditional passive filters are permanently connected to the system and draw large amounts of source current even under light load conditions. By using auto-tuned filters, the passive filter components can be controlled according to load variations and, hence, draw only required source currents. The selection is done by the ANN with the help of a properly tuned knowledge base to provide instantaneous compensation using a digital controller.

Fault Diagnosis of Three-Phase PWM Inverters Using Wavelet and SVM

  • In this paper, a diagnosis method for switch open-circuit faults in three-phase PWM inverters is proposed, which employs support vector machine (SVM) as classifying method. At first, a discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is used to detect a discontinuity of currents due to the fault, and then the features for fault diagnosis are extracted. Next, these features are employed as inputs for the SVM training. After training, the SVM produces an optimized boundary which is used identifying the fault. Finally, the fault classification is performed online with instantaneous features. The experimental results have verified the validity of the proposed estimation algorithm.
