고속도로 졸음쉼터 설계요소 정립 연구 (A Study on Design Elements of Freeway Rest Areas for Drowsy Drivers)

  • PURPOSES : In this study, design elements of rest areas for drowsy drivers are classified and appropriate criteria for each design element are presented. METHODS : By comparing and analyzing the design criteria for rest areas, the most appropriate installation criteria were suggested by considering the driving patterns of rest area users. RESULTS : As a result of the study, elements influencing the design of rest areas for drowsy drivers are suggested such as installation location and installation type. In addition, proper separation distance between resting areas was suggested considering vehicle flow, users' fatigue and physiological needs. Other criteria for rest areas were also suggested. CONCLUSIONS : Proper safety facilities were not installed in rest areas because appropriate criteria were not established. In this study, design elements were derived and installation criteria were designed so that rest areas could be used safely and conveniently.

G-SEED의 신·재생에너지시설 평가기준 개선 연구 (A Study on Improvement of the Assessment Criteria for New and Renewable Energy Facilities in the G-SEED)

  • The G-SEED encourages the installation of new and renewable energy facilities through assessments of the new and renewable energy installation rates. The government also regulates the installation rate of new and renewable energy facilities in the 'Project on new and renewable energy obligation in public installations'. The current criteria concerning the new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED are the result of an amendment made in July 2010. As over five years have passed since this amendment, the assessment criteria needs to be reenforced. To improve the current criteria, the calculation results of the installation rate of new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED were analyzed and compared to the corresponding calculation results of the 'Project on new and renewable energy obligation in public installations'. And an improved draft for the assessment criteria of the new and renewable energy facilities in the G-SEED was proposed.

  • Purpose: Due to increase of interest in the viewing environment for the disabled, ordinances that are related to an optimal auditorium for the disabled are being executed. However, since there are no detailed criteria regarding the optimal auditorium, there is a necessity that it should be supported by more concrete criteria for installation. Therefore, the study is aimed to be utilized as basic data to suggest the criteria for installation of the optimal auditorium in the future through domestic and international legal standards and the analysis of design guidelines that are related to the auditorium for the disabled. Methods: First, legal standards and design guidelines that are related to the auditorium for the disabled were analyzed, and Second, items and things to be improved that are required to suggest the criteria for installation of the optimal auditorium in the future were looked into by comparing and analyzing each contents. Results: Items and considerations by items that are required to establish the criteria for installation of the optimal auditorium were looked into, and based on these results, concrete and standardized installation criteria can be suggested. Implications: Based on the analysis results, the optimal viewing environment for the disabled within cultural facilities can be created through establishment of more concrete installation criteria for the optimal auditorium in the future.

  • This paper describes the characteristics and the criteria of electrical environmental effects produced from power system especially transmission line. Audible noise radio and TV interference, electric and magnetic inductions which are main items for optimal conductor selection as well as major contributors to the community complaint of electrical environmental problem, are surveyed and studied comparing with the criteria or the environmental protection regulation of domestic and foreign countries. As a result a domestic criteria of electrical environmental on power system was suggested.

  • Interest in renewable energy is increasing for eco-friendly use of energy, and fuel cells are being used in various ways such as houses and buildings as power generation methods that have low emissions such as $NO_X$ and $CO_2$. As the supply of fuel cells expands, more and more boilers are installed in the existing buildings, but safety management is not being performed properly. Therefore, in this study, a prior study was conducted on the status of fuel cell-boiler complex installation and related criteria, and the risk factors were analyzed according to the installation environment and structure. Based on these standards, the safety performance of the fuel cell-boiler combined installation is assessed by conducting a demonstration using the starting product of the simulated operation to derive the installation criteria (proposal) for the fuel cell-boiler combined installation. The installation criteria (proposal) include the construction and connection method of the piping according to the fuel cell-boiler complex installation.

  • 과거 안전시설 설치 기준 및 도로안전지수 등에 관한 다양한 연구가 수행되어왔다. 하지만 연구결과를 사용하기에 많은 조사항목과 사용하기 어려운 변수를 사용하는 등 현장에 적용하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연구결과의 적용 가능성을 고려한 도로안전 판단지표를 개발하고 안전시설의 설치 기준을 마련하고자 하였다. 유관시스템의 데이터 항목을 검토하였으며 이미 활용 중인 변수의 사용을 고려하였다. 상관분석과 요인분석을 통해 교통요인, 도로요인, 사고요인을 반영한 도로안전 판단지표를 개발하였으며, 군집분석을 통해 안전시설의 설치판단 기준 점수를 도출하였다. 분석결과 단일로에 비해 교차로에서 설치판단 기준 점수가 더 낮게 분석되었으며 교차로의 도로 위험도가 더 큰 것으로 분석되었다.

교통량과 보행량을 고려한 대각선 횡단보도 설치기준 정립 방안 연구 (Analysis on Installation Criteria for Scrambled Crosswalks Considering Vehicle and Pedestrian Traffic Volume)

  • 최근에 교통사고는 감소하고 있는 추세이나 상대적으로 심각도가 높은 보행자 사고에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 횡단보도 상의 보행자 사고에 대한 개선을 위해 차량과 보행자의 상충을 줄여 안전한 보행환경을 보장할 수 있는 대각선 횡단보도가 설치되고 있다. 대각선 횡단보도 설치에 앞서 효율성 측면에서의 평가와 설치기준을 제시함으로써 교통량과 보행량 조사만으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 적절성 여부를 판단할 수 있는 근거가 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구는 교통량과 보행량을 모두 고려한 신호 최적화 모형을 통하여 최적 주기를 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 전·후 총 지체시간을 비교한다. 최적주기를 산출한 결과, 크게 두 가지 연구의 함의점을 도출해낼 수 있었다. 대각선 횡단보도 설치에 있어 비효율을 초래할 수 있는 차량 교통량 기준점이 존재한다. 또한, 신호 시스템별, 교차로 유형별 적정 설치 용량이 다르기 때문에 설치를 고려하는 횡단보도의 교통량 수준에 따른 적절한 판단기준을 제시하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 대각선 횡단보도 설치 전후에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 검증하였다. 대각선 횡단보도를 설치한 후 보행자의 지연시간이 증대될 수 있으나, 안전 확보를 위해서는 적정 교통량 수준을 고려하여 설치하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다.

  • It is increased electrical energy consumption with the development of intelligence society in buildings and thus an energy conservation through efficient use of electricity and reliability, safety, etc became more important. This research paper intensively investigated performance based construction specifications and design criteria of electrical installations in domestic and foreign country. It is necessary to analyze the key features based on performance and general trend about contractor guarantee, warranty method, performance design criteria from the investigated data. This paper shows a reasonable performance based construction specifications and design criteria of electrical installations.

The New Criteria of Dissolved Gas Analysis for Oil-Filled Transformers Using a Cumulative Distribution Function

  • This paper presents new criteria for DGA(Dissolved Gases Analysis) using CDF(Cumulative Distribution Function) obtained from the data from the diagnosis of transformers operated in KEPCO over a period of 16 years. Because of differences in operating environments, construction type, oil volume, and other factors, the interpretative criteria of DGA at KEPCO differs from other standards such as IEC-60599, or Rogers and Doernenburg. To suggest the most appropriate criteria, the DGA data from transformers under normal conditions as well as from developing fault transformers were collected. Using these data, this study suggests the limitative gas level of transformers under normal operating conditions and verifies the suitability of the criteria. Because the application of this new criterion to transformers at KEPCO increases the detectable ratio of incipient faults and reduces unnecessary follow-up sampling and analysis, the new criteria yields a more reliable prediction of transformer condition.
