특수차량의 고속도로 진입 속도를 향상시키기 위한 방안 (A scheme to increase the speed at which special vehicles enter the expressway)

  • 도로는 국가경제발전의 주요한 일환으로서 지역 내 경제 및 인민생활 수준을 제고하는데 중요한 역할을 발휘한다. 그래서 고속도로 건설의 가속화는 중요한 의미가 있다. 그러나 기존 시스템이 특수차량의 정보를 빠르게 식별하지 못해 특수차량이 고속도로 요금소를 통과할 때 절차가 까다로워 고속도로 관리인의 업무에 일정한 부담을 주었으며, 자가용의 급증은 고속도로 요금소 통행 압력을 다시 한 번 높인다. 특히 명절에 본 연구는 이러한 현황에 기초하여, 데이터화 수단을 이용한 인텔리전스 시스템을 구축하여 고속도로 특수 차량 식별이 어려운 상황을 개선하고, 고속도로 진입로의 혼잡을 줄여 작업자의 효율성을 높이는 방안을 제시한다.

선미 웨지가 차인선형의 조파저항에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Stern Wedge on the Wave Making Resistance of Chine Hull Form)

  • 수치계산을 통해 소형 고속선의 선형설계를 수행하였다. 선형변환 프로그램인 HCAD를 사용하고 차인형 선형을 기준선으로 하여 둥근바닥 선형을 설계하였다. WAVIS를 시용하여 두 가지 선형에 대한 선체주위의 유동장과 조파저항 계산 결과를 보였다. 차인형 선형의 저항특성이 둥근 바닥선형에 비해 다소 크게 나타났으나 소형 조선소의 건조비를 감안하여 차인형 선형의 선수부 개량과 선미 웨지의 설계를 통해 조파저항의 감소를 시도하였다. 수치계산 결과 선미 웨지의 적용에 의해 차인형 선형의 조파저항성능이 고속영역에서 개선되었음을 확인하였다.

금호강 수계 지류하천의 수질 특성 평가 및 수질개선 등급화 방안 (Evaluation of Water Quality Characteristics and Water Quality Improvement Grade Classification of Geumho River Tributaries)

  • In this study, we analyzed on-site monitoring data for 15 tributaries in Geumho watersheds for 3 years (2011-2013) in order to sort out priorities on water quality characteristics and improvement. As a result of estimating contribution to contamination of the tributary rivers, Dalseocheon showed the highest load densities, despite the smallest watershed area, with 22.7% $BOD_5$, 30.7% $COD_{Mn}$, 31.3% TOC and 47.6% TP. After conducting PCA (principal component analysis) and FA (factor analysis) to analyze water quality characteristics of the tributary rivers, the first factor was classified as $COD_{Mn}$, TOC, EC, TP and $BOD_5$, the second factor as pH, Chl-a and DO, the third factor as water temperature and TN, and the fourth factor as SS and surface flow. In addition, arithmetical sum of each factor's scores based on grading criteria revealed that Dalseocheon and Namcheon were classified into Group A for their highest scores - 96 and 93, respectively -, and selected as rivers that require water environmental management measures the most. Also, water environmental contamination inspection showed that Palgeocheon had the most number of aquatic factors to be controlled: $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, SS, TOC, T-P, Chl-a, etc.

온도 모니터링을 위한 광섬유 센서와 온도센서 배열 케이블의 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison between an Optical Fiber and a Thermal Sensor Cable for Temperature Monitoring)

  • In this study, two different technologies which can measure temperature simultaneously at many points are introduced. One is to use a thermal sensor cable that is comprised of addressable thermal sensors connected in parallel within a single cable. The other is to use an optic fiber with Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) system. The difference between two technologies can be summarized as follows. A thermal sensor cable has a concept of 'point sensing' that can measure temperature at accurate position of a thermal sensor. So the accuracy and resolution of temperature measurement are up to the ability of the thermal sensor. Whereas optic fiber sensor has a concept of 'distributed sensing' because temperature is measured by ratio of Stokes and anti-Stokes component intensities of Raman backscatter that is generated when laser pulse travels along an optic fiber. It's resolution is determined by measuring distance, measuring time and spatial resolution. The purpose of this study is that application targets of two temperature measurement techniques are checked in technical and economical phases by examining the strength and weakness of them. Considering the functions and characteristics of two techniques, the thermal sensor cable will be suitable to apply to the assessment of groundwater flow, geothermal distribution and grouting efficiency within 300m distance. It is expected that the optic fiber sensor can be widely utilized at various fields (for example: pipe line inspection, tunnel fire detection, power line monitoring etc.) which need an information of temperature distribution over relatively long distance.

이방성 재료에서의 탄성파 전파 과정에 대한 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Elastic Wave Propagation in Anisotropic Materials)

  • 탄성파 전파 과정의 정량적인 이해와 그 가시화는 결함 탐지는 물론이고, 재료의 물성 평가에 매우 중요하다. 대상 재료가 이방성을 지닐 경우에 탄성파 전파 과정은 복잡해져서 전파 과정의 해석 및 가시화 작업은 탄성파를 이용하는 결함 탐지 및 재질 평가에서는 필수적이다. 이방성 재료에서는 탄성파의 속도가 방향에 따라서 달라짐은 물론이고, 위상 속도와 군 속도의 방향이 어긋나서 파면이 진행하는 방향과 에너지가 진행하는 방향이 달라진다(beam skewing 효과). 특히 복합재료와 같이 이방성이 큰 재료에서는 이 효과가 매우 크게 나타나므로 탄성파를 이용한 시험 결과를 해석하고자 할 때에는 반드시 전파 과정을 이해해야 한다. 이방성 재료에 대해 해석적인 접근에는 한계가 있어서 유한차분법(finite difference method: FDM)과 같은 수치 해석 방법이 유용하게 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 탄성파 전파 과정을 해석할 수 있는 2차원 FDM 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 이용하여 이방성 재료에서의 탄성파 전파에 대한 전산 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교 분석한다.

Techniques for Evaluation of LAMP Amplicons and their Applications in Molecular Biology

  • Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) developed by Notomi et al. (2000) has made it possible to amplify DNA with high specificity, efficiency and rapidity under isothermal conditions. The ultimate products of LAMP are stem-loop structures with several inverted repeats of the target sequence and cauliflower-like patterns with multiple loops shaped by annealing between every other inverted repeats of the amplified target in the similar strand. Because the amplification process in LAMP is achieved by using four to six distinct primers, it is expected to amplify the target region with high selectivity. However, evaluation of reaction accuracy or quantitative inspection make it necessary to append other procedures to scrutinize the amplified products. Hitherto, various techniques such as turbidity assessment in the reaction vessel, post-reaction agarose gel electrophoresis, use of intercalating fluorescent dyes, real-time turbidimetry, addition of cationic polymers to the reaction mixture, polyacrylamide gel-based microchambers, lateral flow dipsticks, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and nanoparticle-based colorimetric tests have been utilized for this purpose. In this paper, we reviewed the best-known techniques for evaluation of LAMP amplicons and their applications in molecular biology beside their advantages and deficiencies. Regarding the properties of each technique, the development of innovative prompt, cost-effective and precise molecular detection methods for application in the broad field of cancer research may be feasible.

GIS기반 지반재해위험지도의 현장 적용성 평가 (The in-situ Assessment of GIS-Based Geotechnical Hazard Map)

  • 최근 기후변화에 따른 집중호우 발생으로 급경사지 붕괴가 빈번히 발생하고 있으며, 이로 인한 재산 및 인명피해 발생으로 급경사지에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 따라서 소방방재청에서는 급경사지 붕괴위험지구를 지정하여 예방사업을 추진하고 있지만, 과학적이고 합리적인 급경사지 예방정책을 마련하기 위한 지반재해위험지도를 제작 중에 있다. 본 연구를 통해서 서울시 부산시의 최근 4년간(2009~2012) 급경사지 피해사례를 조사 정리하여 지반재해위험지도의 적용성을 평가하였으며, 서울시 부산시 내 테스트베드 지역을 선정하여 관계 전문가들과 함께 현장 적용성 평가를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 지반재해위험지도의 위험등급은 실제 현장평가를 통해 확인한 위험등급과 같거나 높게 분석되는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 지반재해위험지도를 활용하여 재해위험 예비지구를 선정하고 전문가의 현장검증 및 평가를 통해 위험지구를 최종 선정하는 등 재해위험지구대상을 예비평가 할 수 있는 자료로서 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

Thermal Transient Characteristics of Die Attach in High Power LED Package

  • The rapid advances in high power light sources and arrays as encountered in incandescent lamps have induced dramatic increases in die heat flux and power consumption at all levels of high power LED packaging. The lifetime of such devices and device arrays is determined by their temperature and thermal transients controlled by the powering and cooling, because they are usually operated under rough environmental conditions. The reliability of packaged electronics strongly depends on the die attach quality, because any void or a small delamination may cause instant temperature increase in the die, leading sooner or later to failure in the operation. Die attach materials have a key role in the thermal management of high power LED packages by providing the low thermal resistance between the heat generating LED chips and the heat dissipating heat slug. In this paper, thermal transient characteristics of die attach in high power LED package have been studied based on the thermal transient analysis using the evaluation of the structure function of the heat flow path. With high power LED packages fabricated by die attach materials such as Ag paste, solder paste and Au/Sn eutectic bonding, we have demonstrated characteristics such as cross-section analysis, shear test and visual inspection after shear test of die attach and how to detect die attach failures and to measure thermal resistance values of die attach in high power LED package. From the structure function oi the thermal transient characteristics, we could know the result that die attach quality of Au/Sn eutectic bonding presented the thermal resistance of about 3.5K/W. It was much better than those of Ag paste and solder paste presented the thermal resistance of about 11.5${\~}$14.2K/W and 4.4${\~}$4.6K/W, respectively.

증기발생기 전열관 확관천이부위 축방향 관통균열의 관막음 기준에 관한 연구 (Study on Plugging Criteria for Thru-wall Axial Crack in Roll Transition Zone of Steam Generator Tube)

  • The stream generator tubes represent an integral part of a major barrier against the fission product release to the environment. So, the rupture of these tubes could permit flow of reactor coolant into the secondary system and injure the safety of reactor coolant system. Therefore, if the crack was detected during In-Service Inspection of tubes the cracked tube should be evaluated by the pulgging criteria and plugged or not. In this study, the fracture mechanics evaluation is carried out on the thru-wall axial crack due to Primary Water Stress Corrosion Cracking in the roll transition aone of steam generator tube to help the assurence the integrity of tubes and estabilish the plugging criteria. Due to the Inconel which is used as tube material is more ductile than others, the plastic instability repture theory was used to calculate the critical and allowable crack length. Based on Leak Before Break concept the leak rate for the critical crack length and the allowable leak rate are compared and the safety of tubes was given.

  • In this paper, we present an experimental investigation of the frequency characteristics and a visual inspection of an oxidizer pump with a modified rear-floating ring seal for a 7-tonf turbopump. An oxidizer pump typically operates at high rotational speeds and under cryogenic conditions. Despite its low hydraulic efficiency, the floating ring seal is frequently employed as a leakage control solution for turbomachinery because it effectively reduces abrasion by friction. When the oxidizer pump starts up, the floating ring moves excursively but locks up stably against the pump casing when the contact pressure increases. The compressive force on the floating ring depends on the hydrodynamic forces induced by the flow through the floating ring. This force is controlled by the nose position of the floating ring. Based on a validation test for a 7-tonf turbopump with two types of floating rings, we concluded that the floating ring with a small diameter nose can move easily with a low contact pressure in the cooling path. This leads to instability of the pressure fluctuation around the floating ring. In contrast, a floating ring with a large diameter nose has a high contact pressure and attaches strongly to the casing, which causes wear and frictional oxidation between the contact surfaces of the impeller and the floating ring.
