This study was performed to natural infection of Ichthyophthirius multifiliis and mortalities of two fish species were compared at 10${^{\circ}C}$ and 17${^{\circ}C}$ after artificial infection with the parasite. Subsequently compared to motality by the artificial infection with the different parasite orgin of host at 17${^{\circ}C}$ using rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. The prevalence of Ichthyophthirius multifiliis in cherry salmon was higher than that in rainbow trout during the periods of low temperature but no difference in high temperature season. The parasite was not detectable in culturing water and detritus except May that of density has been high. Susceptibility to the parasite was higher in cherry salmon than in rainbow trout at 10${^{\circ}C}$ of water temperature but no difference between two fish species at 17${^{\circ}C}$. When rainbow trout were infected with Ichthyophthirius multifiliis from rainbow trout and cherry salmon at 17${^{\circ}C}$, there was no difference in death of host. These results suggest that cherry salmon have higher susceptibility to Ichthyophthirius multifiliis than rainbow trout at low temperature.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has been promoting the 'Fishing Village Specialization Capacity Enhancement Project' to pursue sustainable development of villages such as income generation by using local tangible and intangible resources led by local residents at the village level since 2013. For the fishing village-Specialization capacity enhancement project, six training sessions (mainly in the village unit) are selected by the public offering method, and the project (income generating business, village development project, etc.) is developed for the selected village residents. It has a process of establishing a village project plan (a preliminary plan for village development or a sixth preliminary industrialization plan) based on the training of experts 5 times, practice or excursion 1 time). In this study, four villages in Gangwon-do fishing villages (two coastal villages and two inland water villages) were surveyed on the perception and satisfaction of fishing village development projects before and after training. The survey analysis was conducted by dividing the analysis of resident capacity and satisfaction into personal, interpersonal, and social dimensions. The survey was conducted by distributing a survey before and after training, and a 1:1 survey was conducted according to the residents' cognitive status. Based on the survey, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and analysis using the corresponding sample t-test showed an increase of 0.02 for Yangyang Mulchi fishing village, 0.11 for Samcheok Jangho fishing village, and 0.36 for Hongcheon River fishing industry, but Yanggu Jinmok fishing industry was -0.29, unlike other regions. As a result of this analysis, it has been empirically proven that provision of training projects through resident participation is a very important factor for the success of the fishing village project. Therefore, rather than fostering local leaders, training and community activities to strengthen personal capacities of residents participating in the project, it is necessary to operate the software business with a focus.

In this study, we evaluated the impacts of land-based pollution sources on seawater and shellfish in the Jindongman area after 20.5 mm and 90.6 mm rainfall events. We analyzed sanitary indicator microorganisms used in survey management, such as total coliform, fecal coliform, Escherichia coli, and male-specific coliphage in Waste water treatment plant (WWTP), major inland pollution source,s seawater, and shellfish for 4 days after rainfall events. Our results showed that the range of coliform group and fecal coliform was 1.8-49 and <1.8-4.5 MPN (most probable number)/100 mL, respectively, after rainfall events in WWTP discharge water. Furthermore, the radius of the calculated impacted area of major inland pollution sources ranged from 5 to 798 m after 20.5 mm of rainfall and 30 to 1,031 m after 90.6 mm of rainfall. The fecal coliform of seawater at 30 stations in the shellfish growing area and areas adjacent to four stations was <1.8-130 and from <1.8-79 MPN/100 mL, respectively. The E. coli level of shellfish at 7 stations in the shellfish growing area was <18-220 MPN/100 g.
This study was conducted on October 23, 2020 at the Cheongpyeong Reservoir located in Seorakmyeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and analyzed the horizontal and vertical distribution patterns of fish based on data obtained using fishfinder. The total surface area of fishfinder survey conducted was 782,853 m2, and where the water depth (WD) ranges from 10 m to 12 m is widest which 31.7% of total surface area. As a result of the heat map analysis, fish density was highest at right bank under the Gapyeong-bridge, but there was no specific pattern in horizontal distribution of fish. As a result of vertical distribution of fish analysis, 86.6% of fishes are observed at below 6 m of the fish depth (FD, distance from water surface to fish). As a result of the relative height (RH, water depth-distance from bottom to fish ratio) analysis, there was a tendency that fishes are distributed in near surface area more as the WD increased. This tendency could have various reasons such as water temperature gradient along the water depth, and further studies are required for detailed explanation.
The study about maturity and spawning of Korean Mandarin fish, Siniperca scherzeri collected using the set net and gill net in Soyangho Lake from April to November 2014 was conducted. The number of individuals was 401 (female: 204, male: 197). The total length of females ranged from 113 mm to 365 mm and that of males was from 140 mm to 342 mm. The water temperature in May which is the start of spawning season indicated about $15^{\circ}C$ and gradually increased to July ($26^{\circ}C$). Gonadosomatic index (GSI) of females indicated 2.3%, 4.6% and 3.1%, respectively, in May to July. Males' value showed the similar pattern recording 8.0%, 6.6% and 4.5% in the same time. According to histological observations of gonadal tissue, the most of female in May had the gonadal tissue of maturing and mature stage. And the ovary of June was mostly in the stage of ripe and spawning and a number of individuals in July was recovery stage. In the case of male, a number of males in May showed in the stage of mature. The testis of June showed that mature sperm was releasing. And the testis of July was mostly in recovery stage. The total length at 50% group maturity was estimated 245.16 mm. As shown in the above, the main spawning period of S. scherzeri was May to June.
We investigated developmental stages of egg and early life history of the Korean indigenous fish, Korean Chub Zacco koreanus from the South Han River in 2011 for phylogenetic study and conservation of this species. Eggs of Zacco koreanus were artificially fertilized by the dry method in the laboratory. The fertilized eggs were demersal, almost spherical in shape, transparent and unpigmented, with a pale yellow yolk, and no oil globule and average $3.09{\pm}0.07$ mm (n=10) in diameter. The hatching of the embryo took place in about 68 hrs after fertilization under water temperature of $20.0{\sim}23.0^{\circ}C$ and the newly hatched larvae were average $10.30{\pm}0.40$ mm (n=10) in total length (TL). Six days after hatching, the larvae grew up to $16.12{\pm}0.42$ mm (n=8) in TL and york sac absorption, mouth and anus opening were shown postflexion larvae stage. 17 days after hatching, most of fin-rays appeared at $18.21{\pm}0.38$ mm (n=6) in TL and brown spot appeared on the abdomen. 27 days after hatching, the larvae were brought up to $20.01{\pm}1.12$ mm(n=5) in TL and all their fin-rays were formed. 120 days after hatching, the larvae (juvenile) were $23.29{\pm}3.12$ mm (n=10) in TL and their body shape and color pattern were similar to the adult fish.

The egg development and early life history of Sharpbelly Hemiculter leucisculus were investigated. For the experiments, the mature adults were collected at the Lake Yedang in Korea. The eggs from the females were obtained by injecting 10 IU/g of human chorionic gonadotropin and inseminated by wet method in the laboratory. The fertilized eggs were 0.97±0.02 mm (0.9~1.0 mm n=30) in diameter. The embryo began to hatch about 32 hrs after fertilization under water temperature of 22±1℃. The newly-hatched larvae were 3.0±0.2 mm (2.6~3.4 mm, n=15) in total length, and they haven't Melanophore. Six days after hatching, the Preflexion larva were 5.7±0.1 mm (5.4~5.8 mm, n=15) in total length, and they began to eat a Rotifer. 17 days after hatching, the Flexion larva were 6.8±0.2 mm (6.5~7.0 mm, n=15) in total length, and a gas bladder develop above the intestine. 30 days after hatching, the Postflexion larva were 8.8±0.7 mm (7.9~10.3 mm, n=15) in total length, three dorsal fin rays began to develop in the membrane fins. 50 days after hatching, the Juvenile were 20.8±0.8 mm (18.8~24.6 mm, n=15) in total length, and all their fin-rays were formed.
The early history of Korean mandarin fish, Siniperca scherzeri was studied to obtain some information required in aquaculture and reinforcement of natural population. During the period from June 1996 to July 1997, the mature adults of Siniperca scherzeri were collected from the middle Soyang Lake at Puksan - myon, Chunchon - shi, Kangwon - do, Korea. The eggs from females were obtained by injecting HCG or/and GnRH - a and fertilized by dry method in the laboratory. The fertilized eggs, measuring 1.70~2.10 mm in diameter and expanded to 2.20~2.66mm after absorption of water, were globosity, light orange yellow, separative, submergence and had one large oil globules of 0.5~0.7 mm. The blastodisc was formed in 1 hour and cleavage started in 1 hour 30 min. after fertilization, and the intervals of each stage of cleavage was about 50 min. at the water temperature of $21{\sim}24^{\circ}C$. Hatching occurred 131 hours 30 min. after fertilization and newly hatched larvae were 5.86~6.85 mm in total length(TL) and numerous stellate melanophores were distributed on the yolk and abdomen of caudal peduncle. The yolk was almost absorbed and the teeth development. 3 days after hatching, at 6.98~7.60 mm TL. The head spines and the teeth were largely developed and all fins were completely formed and became postlarva stage 15 days after hatching, at 10.10~12.90 mm TL. The body shape and the color pattern were similar to adult, 25 days after hatching, at 15.3~23.8 mm TL. In 5 months after hatching were reached at 154.10~175.02 mm TL and 49.32~82.67 g in body weight.
