PEI계 플라스틱 축대칭 부품의 사출 성형에 관한 연구 (Injection Moulding of Polyetherimide Axi-Symmetric Elements)

  • This research covers the development of axi-symmetric plastic elements for injection molding with insert steel such as high stiffness Sabot. The functional requirements of sabot are concentricity and fracture resistance about vertical and horizontal forces. For these, an analysis of characteristics of PEI(polyetherimide) polymer is performed by standard test specimen with accordance of ASTM test guidance. Moldflow analysis and simulation of injection molding process are carried out in order not only to estimate of the warpage but also to predict the characteristics of residual stresses which both product and structure of mold may have. A new vertical side injection machine and transverse mold have been constructed. Results of the measuring concentricity and fracture test after molding of sabot are satisfied to design specification over Cp $ratio{\geq}1.33$. Finally, this technique needs more research application to others axi-symmetric elements having different radius with insert steel md structure analysis from now on.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 3 차원 사출성형 해석을 통하여 컴퓨터 마우스 제작용 이중사출성형 금형의 공정조건을 결정하는 것이다. 적합한 사출성형 공정조건을 선정하기 위하여 사출 시간, 최대 사출압력 및 보압 시간이 사출성형 특성과 제품 품질에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 고찰하였다. 사출성형 해석 결과로부터 제품의 수축과 휨 변형을 최소화 할 수 있는 최적 사출성형 공정조건을 예측하였다. 최종적으로 사출성형 실험을 수행하여 이종재료로 구성된 컴퓨터 마우스 제품을 제작하였다. 이 결과로부터 선정한 사출성형 공정조건을 적용할 경우 적절한 이종 재료로 구성된 컴퓨터 마우스가 제작될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

T자형 단면형상을 가진 성형품의 싱크마크 불량 감소 방안에 대한 연구 (A study on the reduction method of sink marks for plastic products with T-shape)

  • In the automotive industry these days, plastic parts have been developed and replaced with plastic parts by maintaining the same function of existing press parts for a variety of reasons. Injection molding plastic parts are subject to molding defects due to various factors, among which the sink marks usually occur in the areas where bosses and ribs are installed. In this study, we analyzed the influence of various factors on the occurrence of sink marks by using the flow analysis of the forming analysis program(Moldflow analysis) using the rib model with the T-shape. Tests have shown that the greatest influence on the sink mark of cosmetic products is the thickness and pressure of the ribs, and the thickness of the basic moulding thickness of the product increases. However, it was considered that the resin temperature and the mold temperature do not greatly affect the occurrence of the sink mark.

  • Automatic grease lubricator of gear type was developed by mechanical design, analysis and test with products manufactured by rapid prototyping machine. The mechanism of gear driving was designed in similar to the watch mechanism and lubrication could be controlled by PCB circuit. The body of the lubricator was analyzed by stress analysis with different constructed angle. Digital mockup was analyzed and RP products were combined with PCB circuit and grease. RP products and injection moulding products were tested and compared for roughness and roundness, Finally the grease was drained out for testing the time.

차량의 연료압력 레귤레이터 성형해석 (The Moulding Analysis of Fuel Pressure Regulator to the Vehicle)

  • This study examined the casting analysis of fuel pressure regulator of LPI vehicles. We aims to predict all the phenomenon accompanied by flow and solidification in die casting, and maximize productivity and quality through optimal casting design. As a result of comparing Types A and B of casting design, it was found that the number of overflow affected flow, flowspeed and solidification temperature. And there was a minute difference between solidification temperatures at thick section of the spare parts. Solidification began at temperatures of $624^{\circ}C{\sim}630^{\circ}C$ but after the casting was completed, temperatures at the center of the parts were $600^{\circ}C{\sim}614^{\circ}C$ Temperature of molten metal showed optimal flow at temperature of $680^{\circ}C$. It began to solidity around at $650^{\circ}C$ and to be cooled between $580^{\circ}C{\sim}550^{\circ}C$ in high speed. When the process was analysed through a computer simulation, it was found that hardness of regulators manufactured through Type B of overflow was above $H_R60$.

열가소성 폴리올레핀으로 구성된 범퍼 후방 보 개발에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Development of Bumper Back-Beam Using a Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

  • Recently, the application of the plastic material to automotive components and structures has steadily increased to satisfy demands on the saving of overall weight and the improvement of energy efficiency. The objective of this paper is to investigate the development of a bumper back-beam using a thermoplastic olefin (TPO). The bumper back-beam was designed to be manufactured from the injection molding process. In order to obtain a proper design of the bumper back-beam, three-dimensional finite element analyses were performed for various design alternatives. Stress-strain curves for different strain rates were measured by high speed tensile tests of the TPO to consider strain rate effects in the FEA. The influence of the sectional shape and the rib formation on the contact force-intrusion curves, the deflection and the energy absorption rate of the bumper back-beam was examined. From the results of the examination, a proper design of the bumper back-beam was acquired. The bumper back-beam consisting of TPO was fabricated from the injection moulding process and the vibration welding. Pendulum crash tests were carried out using the fabricated bumper back-beam. The results of the tests showed that the designed bumper back-beam can satisfy requirements of the federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS). Through the comparison of the previously designed bumper back-beam with the newly designed bumper back beam, it was noted that the weight of the designed bumper back-beam is lighter than that of the previously designed bumper back beam by nearly 16 %. In addition, it was considered that the newly designed bumper back beam can improve recycling of the bumper back-beam.

액정폴리머/폴리아미드6 미시복합재료의 내부구조 및 기계적 굽힘성능 평가 (Microstructural Morphology and Bending Performance Evaluation of Molded Microcomposites of Thermotropic LCP and PA6)

  • LCP원섬유(fibril)와 폴리아미드6 (PA6)수지로 사출성형된 복합재료 박판(molded thin composite plaques)의 미세구조와 굽힘강도에 대한 에폭시수지 함유율의 효과를 살펴보았다. 성형은 LCP원섬유의 용융점 이하에서 하였으며 이렇게 만들어진 판재는 횡방향 배향을 보이는 두께 $65-120{\mu\textrm{m}}$의 표피층(surface skin layer), 유동방향과 거의 일치하는 배향을 보이는 표피아래층(sub-skin layer), 아크형 곡선유동형태를 보이는 심층(core layer)으로 구성되어 있었다. 에폭시함유율이 달라도 각 층의 미세구조방향은 유사하였으나 에폭시함유율이 증가함에 따라 LCP영역(domain)이 원섬유상에서 층상구조로 변했고 거시적 파괴진로(fracture path)는 인장형에서 전단형으로 바뀌었다. 또한 에폭시 4.8vol%에서 가장 우수한 굽힘강도와 파단변형율을 보였다. 굽힘강도를 수치해석한 결과 에폭시성분을 복합재에 부가하면 각 층의 두께와 미세구조 같은 기하학적인 형태가 변하면서 각 층 자체의 탄성계수와 강도가 열등화 되었음을 알았다.
