Fuel injection rate of an injector is affected by various injection conditions such as injection duration, fuel temperature, injection pressure, and voltage in LPG liquid injection systems for either a port-fuel-injection(PFI) or a direct injection(DI) in a cylinder. Even fuel injection conditions are changed, the air-fuel ratio should be accurately controlled to educe exhaust emissions. In this study, correction factor for the fuel injection rate of an injector is derived from the density ratio and the pressure difference ratio. A voltage correction factor is researched from injection test results on an LPG liquid injection engine. A compensation method of the fuel injection rate is proposed for a fuel injection control system. The experimental results for the LPG liquid injection system in a SI-engine show that this system works well on experimental range of engine speed and load conditions. And the fuel injection rate is accurately controlled by the proposed compensation method.

In injection molding short shot is one of the frequent and fatal defects. Experts of Injection molding usually adjust process conditions such as injection time, mold temperature, and melt temperature because it is most economic way in time and cost. However, it is difficult task to find appropriate process conditions for troubleshooting of short shot as injection molding process is a highly nonlinear system and process conditions are coupled. In this paper, a modular fuzzy neural network (MFNN) has been applied to injection molding process to shorten troubleshooting time of short shot. Based on melt temperature and fill time, a reasonable initial mo이 temperature is recommenced by the NFNN, and then the mold temperature is inputted to injection molding process. Depending on injection molding result, specifically the insufficient quantity of an injection molded part. and appropriate mold temperature is recommend repeatedly through the NFNN.
Recently, many studies on HSDI diesel engines have been performed to reduce the fuel consumption and $CO_2$ emission. One of the prominent technique to reduce emission is a high pressure multiple injection. For this technique, the injection rate is a critical parameter in order to determine precise injection duration and timing for combustion control. Thus the purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between the injection rate and the time-signature of chamber pressure at different injection pressure conditions in a common rail direct injection type injector using the Zeuch method. Using the measured correlation constants, estimated fuel injection rates are presented at many different injection conditions.
This analysis is aimed to find out how the conditions of secondary air injection affects the residence time and the turbulence energy of flue gas and flow field in a small incinerator. A commercial code, PHOENICS, is used to simulate the flow field of an Incinerator. The computational grid system is constructed in a cartesian coordinate system In this numerical experiment, an independent numerical variable is the conditions of secondary air injection and dependants are the residence time of flue gas and the mean value of turbulence energy in a primary combustion chamber. The flow field and the distribution of turbulence energy are analysed to evaluate the residence time of flue gas and the turbulence energy The computational results say that the tangential injection of secondary air make the residence time much longer than the radial injection and that the radial injection of secondary make turbulence much stronger than the tangential injection.

An experimental study for reducing the exhaust hydrocarbon emission at spark ignition engine using timed secondary air injection is carried out . In this study, secondary air injection timings and durations are controlled to decrease the hydrocarbon emission and to increase exhaust gas temperature at cold and warm-up engine conditions. The hydrocarbon reduction rate and exhaust gas temperature are compared between timed secondary air injection and continuous air injection. The optimum secondary air injection timing for reducing the hydrocarbon emission is at the exhaust valve open timing. At some engine conditions , the hydrocarbon emissions are decreased to 10% of engine raw values and exhaust gas temperatures increase by 20$0^{\circ}C$ with times secondary air injection . Timed secondary air injection has more hydrocarbon reduction rate that continuous secondary air injection except some engine conditions.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce a fusion method that combines the design of experiments (DOE) and machine learning to optimize the bias of plastic products. The study focuses on the plastic motor housing used in automobiles, which is manufactured through plastic injection molding. Achieving optimal molding for the motor housing involves the optimization of various molding conditions, including injection pressure, injection time, holding pressure, mold temperature, and cooling time. Failure to optimize these conditions can lead to increased product deformation. To minimize the deformation of the motor housing, the widely used Taguchi method, which is one of the design of experiment techniques, was employed to identify the injection molding conditions that affect deformation. Machine learning was then applied to various models based on the identified molding conditions. Among the models, the Random Forest model emerged as the most effective in predicting deformation amounts. The validity of the Random Forest model was also confirmed through verification. The verification results demonstrated the excellent prediction accuracy of the trained Random Forest model. By utilizing the validated model, molding conditions that minimize deformation were determined. Implementation of these optimal molding conditions led to a reduction of approximately 5.3% in deformation compared to the conditions before optimization. It is noteworthy that all injection molding outcomes presented in this paper were obtained through robust injection molding simulations, ensuring both research objectivity and speed.

The objective of this study determine the molding conditions of a double-shot injection mold for fabricating a computer mouse using different materials, by performing three-dimensional injection molding analysis. In order to select the optical injection molding conditions, the effects of the injection time, the maximum injection pressure, the effect of packing time on the injection molding characteristics, and the product qualities were quantitatively examined. From the results of the injection molding analysis, the optimal injection molding conditions of the double-shot injection mold, which leads the molded product to the minimized shrinkage and deflection, were estimated. The results of the injection molding experiments, showed that an appropriate computer mouse can be fabricated using different materials when the identified optimal injection molding conditions are adopted.

In this study, the pattern of lens aberration was studied at different injection molding conditions such as injection speed, holding pressure, holding pressure time, mold temperature and cylinder temperature and, then, the results were analyzed with a laser interferometer. It was demonstrated that optimal condition of lens aberration could be achieved by adjustment of injection molding conditions.

In this study, we conducted a study on the optimization of injection molding conditions to minimize deformation of plastic product. The charging management system housing of the vehicle was selected as the research subject. Melting temperature, cooling temperature, packing time, and packing pressure were selected as the main factors expected to affect the deformation of molded products. Each main factor was divided into 5 levels. Optimization of injection molding conditions to minimize deformation was performed using the Taguchi Method. We performed an analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify significant factors affecting the deformation of plastic product. In order to select injection molding conditions that minimize deformation of plastic products, injection molding analysis was additionally performed for insignificant factors. We then compared the deformation of the molded part before and after optimization. As a result of comparing the injection analysis results of the basic conditions and the injection analysis results of the optimal conditions, it was confirmed that the amount of deformation after optimization was improved by about 10.9%.
A two-stroke Schnurle-type gasoline engine was modified to enable compression-ignition in both the port fuel injection and the in-cylinder direct injection. Using the engine, examinations of compression-ignition operation and engine performance tests were carried out. The amount of the residual gas and the in-cylinder mixture conditions were controlled by varying the valve angle rate of the exhaust valve (VAR) and the injection timing for direct injection conditions. It was found that the direct injection system is superior to the port injection system in terms of exhaust gas emissions and thermal efficiency, and that almost the same operational region of compression-ignition at medium speeds and loads was attained. Some interesting combustion characteristics, such as a shorter combustion period in higher engine speed conditions, and factors for the onset of compression-ignition were also examined.
