CRT-based RSA algorithm, which was implemented on smartcard, microcontroller and so on, leakages secret primes p and q by fault attacks using laser injection, EM radiation, ion beam injection, voltage glitch injection and so on. Among the many fault injection methods, voltage glitch can be injected to target device without any modification, so more practical. In this paper, we made an experiment on the fault injection attack using abnormal source voltage. As a result, CRT-RSA's secret prime p and q are disclosed by fault attack with voltage glitch injection which was introduced by several previous papers, and also succeed the fault attack with source voltage blocking for proper period.

As IoT(Internet of Things) devices become common, many algorithms have been developed to protect users' personal information. The laser fault injection attack that threatens those algorithms is a side-channel analysis that intentionally injects a laser beam to the outside of a device to acquire confidential information or abnormal privileges of the system. There are many studies to determine the timing of fault injection to reduce the number of necessary fault injections, but the location to inject faults is only repeatedly searched for the entire area of the device. However, when fault injection is performed in an algorithm-independent area, the attacker cannot obtain the intended faulted statement or attempt to bypass authentication, so finding areas vulnerable to fault injection and performing an attack is an important consideration in achieving a high attack success rate. In this paper, we show that a 100% attack success rate can be achieved by determining the vulnerable areas for fault injection by using electromagnetic and thermal information generated from the device's chip. Based on this, we propose an efficient fault injection attack system.

In this paper, we propose a fault injection attack on stream cipher A5/3 used in GSM. The fault assumption of this attack is based on that of fault injection attacks proposed in FDTC'05 and CISC-W'10. This attack is applicable to A5/3 supporting 64/128-bit session key, respectively, and can recover the session key by using a small number of fault injections. These works are the first known key recovery attack results on A5/3.
Whitelist-based ransomware solution is known as being vulnerable to false impersonation attack using DLL injection attack. To solve this problem, it is proposed to monitor DLL injection attack and to integrate the monitoring result to ransomware solutions. In this paper, we show that attackers can easily bypass the monitoring mechanism and then illegally access files of a target system. It means that whitelist-based ransomware solutions are still vulnerable.

SQL Injection attacks are one of the older attack techniques and are the dominant type of hacking attempts against web services. There have been many attempts to hack SQL injection attacks by exposing data or obtaining privileges. In this paper, we implement a log analysis system that can respond to SQL injection attacks in real time using the open source ELK Stack. did. By providing a visualization of SQL injection attack log data through the implemented system, it is expected that users will be able to easily grasp the degree of attack risk and quickly prepare for attacks.
False data injection attacks have recently been introduced as one of important issues related to cyber-attacks on electric power grids. These attacks aim to compromise the readings of multiple power meters in order to mislead the operation and control centers. Recent studies have shown that if a malicious attacker has complete knowledge of the power grid topology and branch admittances, s/he can adjust the false data injection attack such that the attack remains undetected and successfully passes the bad data detection tests that are used in power system state estimation. In this paper, we investigate that a practical false data injection attack is essentially a cyber-attack with uncertain information due to the attackers lack of knowledge with respect to the power grid parameters because the attacker has limited physical access to electric facilities and limited resources to compromise meters. We mathematically formulated a method of identifying the most vulnerable locations to false data injection attack. Furthermore, we suggest minimum topology changes or phasor measurement units (PMUs) installation in the given power grids for mitigating such attacks and indicate a new security metrics that can compare different power grid topologies. The proposed metrics for performance is verified in standard IEEE 30-bus system. We show that the robustness of grids can be improved dramatically with minimum topology changes and low cost.

Fault injection attack is the process of attempting to acquire the information on-chip through inject artificially generated error code into the cryptographic algorithms operation (or perform) which is implemented in hardware or software. From the details above, the laser-assisted failure injection attacks have been proven particularly successful. In this paper, we propose an improved laser probing system for fault injection attack which is called the Dual-Laser FA tool set, a hybrid approach of the Flash-pumping laser and fiber laser. The main concept of the idea is to improve the laser probe through utilizing existing equipment. The proposed laser probe can be divided into two parts, which are Laser-I for laser cutting, and Laser-II for fault injection. We study the advantages of existing equipment, and consider the significant parameters such as energy, repetition rate, wavelength, etc. In this approach, it solves the high energy problem caused by flash-pumping laser in higher repetition frequency from the fiber laser.
The Structured Query Language (SQL) Injection continues to be one of greatest security risks in the world according to the Open Web Application Security Project's (OWASP) [1] Top 10 Security vulnerabilities 2013. The ease of exploitability and severe impact puts this attack at the top. As the countermeasures become more sophisticated, SOL Injection Attacks also continue to evolve, thus thwarting the attempt to eliminate this attack completely. The vulnerable data is a source of worry for government and financial institutions. In this paper, a detailed survey of different types of SQL Injection and proposed methods and theories are presented, along with various tools and their efficiency in intercepting and preventing SQL attacks.

The autonomous driving system mounted on the unmanned vehicle recognizes the external environment through several sensors and derives the optimum control value through it. Recently, studies on physical level attacks that maliciously manipulate sensor data by performing signal-injection attacks have been published. signal-injection attacks are performed at the physical level and are difficult to detect at the software level because the sensor measures erroneous data by applying physical manipulations to the surrounding environment. In order to detect a signal-injection attack, it is necessary to verify the dependability of the data measured by the sensor. As so far, various methods have been proposed to attempt physical level attacks against sensors mounted on autonomous driving systems. However, it is still insufficient that methods for defending and detecting the physical level attacks. In this paper, we demonstrate signal-injection attacks targeting MEMS sensors that are widely used in unmanned vehicles, and propose a method to detect the attack. We present a signal-injection detection model to analyze the accuracy of the proposed method, and verify its effectiveness in a laboratory environment.

Since an attacker can extract secret key of cryptographic device by occurring an error during encryption operation, the fault injection attack have become a serious threat in cryptographic system. In this paper, we show that an attacker can retrieve the 128-bits secret key in AES implementation adopted iterative statement for round operations using fault injection attack. To verify the feasibility of our attack, we implement the AES algorithm on ATmega128 microcontroller and try to inject a fault using laser beam. As a result, we can extract 128-bits secret key by obtaining just two pairs of correct and faulty ciphertexts.
