The security vulnerabilities in Korea maritime domain were mentioned and analysed with the static data of crimes relating to maritime security. The counterterrorism and initiatives to reduce the security risk and to minimize the damage are introduced and evaluated. The maritime security strategy and the near term initiatives to enhance the non-military security at Korean sea and ports are proposed in order to response maritime security threats economically, efficiently and safely.

Indian economy growth changed due Indian business operational approach with convergent technologies. Science, technology, society and humanities (STSH) fusion research is aimed at creating new research areas and methods that can resolve complicated issues in society that cannot be solved by a single academic discipline. This study identifies initiatives that can promote STSH fusion research in Korea. We review the definition and characteristics of STSH fusion research to analyze the necessity of STSH fusion research with a focus on the structural changes in the S&T environment. The emergence and diffusion of generic technologies, transition to post catch-up innovation mode, and the evolution of policy to the third generation innovation policy are identified as notable changes. This paper briefly reviews the status of fusion research underway and presents initiatives to promote STSH fusion research.

This paper explores the role of entrepreneurship education in a modern economy and how the government, academic, and nonprofit sectors in the United States have responded to this growing field. There are several sectors that play important roles in the entrepreneurship education landscape in the United States. Over the past decade, there has been increasing participation of Federal and state governments. This recent trend suggests the field may be increasing in maturity and legitimacy, showing promise for expanding the reach of entrepreneurship education programs. Programs sponsored by nonprofit organizations and private foundations complement government initiatives and display an effective means of leveraging knowledge and resources across the relevant sectors. Thus, new initiatives, whether initiated by government or academia, should learn from the successes of this sector as well as be carefully considered within the context of existent programs and services. Nonetheless, the potentially dynamic environment of the entrepreneurship education field in the United States offers a specific opportunity to leverage the experience in mentorship activities at the post-secondary education to address a possible gap in these activities at the secondary education level.

This study developed an integrated management framework for KM, consisting of four major management objects and organizational initiatives: managerial and technical initiatives. Based on the developed framework, it proposes a stage model of organizational KM from Initiation, Propagation, Integration to Networking stage with detail explanations focusing on management goals and activities. To validate the proposed stage model, this study conducted a preliminary study with a latent content analysis of 15 KM cases. Form the results, though is could not validate the time sequence of each stage because of the limited information of cases, it shows meaningful findings in that there are a kind of relationship among management goals, activities and characteristics of management object of cases.

The SIMP (solid isotropic material with penalization) approach is perhaps the most popular density variable relaxation method in topology optimization. This method has been very successful in many applications, but the optimization solution convergence can be improved when new variables, not the direct density variables, are used as the design variables. In this work, we newly propose S-shape functions mapping the original density variables nonlinearly to new design variables. The main role of S-shape function is to push intermediate densities to either lower or upper bounds. In particular, this method works well with nonlinear mathematical programming methods. A method of feasible directions is chosen as a nonlinear mathematical programming method in order to show the effects of the S-shape scaling function on the solution convergence.

This study had two major purposes: 1) to establish a quantitative measure of the overall restaurant attractiveness for each of the selected restaurants. 2) to examine the implications of the findings from the above concerning the operating initiatives necessary to improve the restaurant attractiveness. A multi attribute model was employed to obtain a numerical index of the attractiveness for each of the three fast food restaurants. It was found that certain of the attributes selected were clearly established as determinant variables(p<0.05). The research plotted the location of Attributes on a graph where the axes are the salience and importance scores to indicate approximate positions in four cells. Finally, the implications of these findings concering marketing and develpment initiatives to improve the perceptual attractiveness of the three fast food restaurant1.s are discussed.

본 연구에서는 멀티미디어 표현 및 기술을 위한 주요 메타데이터 initiatives를 분석하고 문제점을 제시하였다. 그 결과 대부분의 메타데이터 개발은 1999년부터 2004도에 개발되었으며 주로 멀티미디어 내용자체를 표현하기보다는 예술작품 또는 동영상의 서지사항에 기반 한 요소들로 구성되어 있는 것으로 나타났다 또한 생성방법은 인간이 개입하는 방식을 취하고 있으며 MPEG-7은 멀티미디어 전체를 포괄하면서 표현의 일관성을 유지할 수 있는 포괄적인 표준으로 나타났다.
