전단응력하의 무한체내 타원체불균질물의 균열손상에 따른 하중부하능력과 탄성응력분포 (Load Carrying Capacity due to Cracking Damage of Ellipsoidal Inhomogeneity in Infinite Body under Pure Shear and Its Elastic Stress Distributions)

  • In particle or short-fiber reinforced composites, cracking of the reinforcements is a significant damage mode because the broken reinforcements lose load carrying capacity. This paper deals with elastic stress distributions and load carrying capacity of intact and cracked ellipsoidal inhomogeneities. Three dimensional finite element analysis has been carried out on intact and broken ellipsoidal inhomogeneities in an infinite body under pure shear. For the intact inhomogeneity, as well known as Eshelby(1957) solution, the stress distribution is uniform in the inhomogeneity and non-uniform in the surrounding matrix. On the other hand, for the broken inhomogeneity, the stress in the region near crack surface is considerably released and the stress distribution becomes more complex. The average stress in the inhomogeneity represents its load carrying capacity, and the difference of average stresses between the intact and broken inhomogeneities indicates the loss of load carrying capacity due to cracking damage. The load carrying capacity of the broken inhomogeneity is expressed in terms of the average stress of the intact inhomogeneity and some coefficients. It is found that the broken inhomogeneity with higher aspect ratio still maintains higher load carrying capacity.

비균일 지하에 매설된 금속관 탐지를 위한 지하탐사레이다 신호의 수치 모의계산 (Numerical Simulation of Ground-Penetrating Radar Signals for Detection of Metal Pipes Buried in Inhomogeneous Grounds)

  • 지하의 비균일성이 지하탐사레이다(GPR) 신호에서 금속관 탐지에 미치는 영향을 수치계산으로 조사하였다. 지하의 비균일성을 모델링하기 위해서 연속적인 랜덤 매질(CRM) 생성기법을 도입하였고, GPR 신호의 전자기 모의계산을 위해 유한차분시간영역(FDTD)법을 구현하였다. 랜덤 비균일 지하에 대한 상대 유전율 분포의 표준편차와 상관길이의 변화에 따라 매설된 금속관의 GPR 신호를 수치 모의계산으로 비교하였다. 지하의 비균일성이 증가함에 따라 지하 클러터의 영향으로 인하여 매설관에 의한 GPR 신호가 심하게 왜곡되었다.

Elastic Analysis of a Cracked Ellipsoidal Inhomogeneity in an Infinite Body

  • In particle or short-fiber reinforced composites. cracking of the reinforcements is a significant damage mode because the broken reinforcements lose load carrying capacity. This paper deals with the load carrying capacity of intact and broken ellipsoidal inhomogeneities embedded in an infinite body and a damage theory of particle or short-fiber reinforce composites. The average stress in the inhomogeneity represents its load carrying capacity. and the difference between the average stresses of the intact t and broken inhomogeneities indicates the loss of load carrying capacity due to cracking damage. The composite in damage process contains intact and broken reinforcements in a matrix. An incremental constitutive relation of particle or short-fiber reinforced composites including the progressive cracking damage of the reinforcements have been developed based on the Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method and Mori and Tanaka's mean field concept. Influence of the cracking damage on the stress-strain response of the composites is demonstrated.

Torsional surface waves in a non-homogeneous isotropic layer over viscoelastic half-space

  • The aim of this paper is to study the propagation of torsional surface waves in non-homogeneous isotropic layer of finite thickness placed over a homogeneous viscoelastic half-space, when both density and rigidity of the non-homogeneous medium are assumed to vary exponentially with depth. The frequency equations are obtained by using simple method of separation of variables. Further, it is seen that when viscoelastic parameter and non-homogeneity parameter is neglected, the dispersion equation gives the dispersion equations of Love waves in homogeneous, elastic and isotropic layer placed over homogeneous viscoelastic medium. The problem has been solved numerically and the effects of various inhomogeneities of the medium on torsional waves have been illustrated graphically.

전단응력하의 분산형 복합재료에 미시역학적인 특성평가 (Analysis for Properties of Particle or Short Fiber Reinforced Composites based on Micromechanics under Pure Shear)

  • 본 연구에서는 분산형 강화복합재료에 균열이 발생하면 하중부하능력이 감소와 더불어 재료의 손상을 초래할 수 있어 재료의 완전한 게재물과 균열이 존재한 게재물이 있는 경우를 상정하여 하중부하능력과 탄성 음력분포를 평가한다. 무한체가 전단음력을 받을 때 완전한 게재물과 균열이 내재한 경우에 대하여 3차원 유한요소해석이 수행되어 완전한 게재물의 경우는 게재물의 영역의 음력은 동일하고 게재물의 계면은 다소 불균일하게 나타났다. 그리고 균열이 내재한 경우에는 균열주변에는 음력이 집중되는 경우를 볼수 있을 뿐만아니라 아주 복잡한 분포를 볼수 있었다. 불균질물의 평균응력은 하중부하능력으로 표현이 가능하였고 완전만 게재물과 균열의 경우도 균열손상에 의해 하중부하능력의 차이를 볼 수 있었다. 특히, 균열이 내재한 경우에 에스펙터비(aspect ratio)가 증가할수록 하중부하능력이 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

방사선 치료계획 시 불균질 보정에 관한 고찰 (A Study of Heterogeneity Corrections for Radiation Treatment Planning)

  • 목 적: 방사선치료를 목적으로 촬영된 CT영상을 이용하여 조직내 불균질 물질 및 체위고정 기구에 대한 보정이 선량계산 결과에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 대상 빛 방법: 체내불균질 물질의 다양한 사례를 알아보기 위하여 본원에서 제작한 물팬텀($250{\times}250{\times}250mm^3$) 내부에 (1) 뼈 (2) 금속 (3) 조영제 (4) 고정기구(Head holder/Vac-lok) 등 CT Number를 변화시킬 수 있는 물질을 삽입하여 CT촬영을 시행 하였다. 각기 다른 형태의 불균질 CT영상을 전산화치료계획장치(RTP)에 입력하여 동일한 조건(SAD=100 cm 조사야=$10{\times}10cm^2$, 깊이=10cm, 1문조사)으로 에너지별(4, 6, 10 MV X-선) 처방선량 100 cGy를 얻기 위한 선량계산(MU)을 시행하여 비교, 분석하였다. 결 과: 물로만 구성된 팬텀을 기준값으로, 불균질 보정계수 차이는 뼈조직 상태인 경우는 $2.7{\sim}5.3%$, 금속물질인 경우 $2.7{\sim}3.8%$, 조영제인 경우 $0.9{\sim}2.3%$, Head holder $0.9{\sim}2.3%$, Head holder와 Pillow인 경우 $3.5{\sim}6.9%$, 그리고 Vac-lok인 경우 $0.9{\sim}1.5%$의 차이로 나타났다. 결 론: 체내의 불균질 보정계수 차이는 임상적으로 그 적용 형태가 다양하고, 일관성을 보이지 않으며, 조사문수가 증가함에 따라 그 차이가 1%미만으로 허용 가능할 것이나, 고정 기구등에 의한 불균질 보정은 충분히 고려하여 선량계산의 부정확도를 최소화 시켜야 할 것으로 사료된다.

CHEMICAL INHOMOGENEITIES AMONG GIANT STARS IN NGC 3201

  • Nine giant star's spectra in NGC 3201 were obtained using the image tube in Sutherland. From the analysis of these spectra we found the increase of Ca I and CH abundances with decreasing the radial distnace, but CN, Ca II and Fe abundances do not show this. Dependence of the calculated parameters seems to exist among CN, Ca I, Ca II and CH abundances.
