에러 분석을 통한 사용자 중심의 메뉴 기반 인터페이스 설계 (Design of Menu Driven Interface using Error Analysis)

  • As menu structure of household appliance is complicated, user's cognitive workload frequently occurs errors. In existing studies, errors didn't present that interpretation for cognitive factors and alternatives, but are only considered as statistical frequency. Therefore, error classification and analysis in tasks is inevitable in usability evaluation. This study classified human error throughout information process model and navigation behavior. Human error is defined as incorrect decision and behavior reducing performance. And navigation is defined as unrelated behavior with target item searching. We searched and analyzed human errors and its causes as a case study, using mobile phone which could control appliances in near future. In this study, semantic problems in menu structure were elicited by SAT. Scenarios were constructed by those. Error analysis tests were performed twice to search and analyze errors. In 1st prototype test, we searched errors occurred in process of each scenario. Menu structure was revised to be based on results of error analysis. Henceforth, 2nd Prototype test was performed to compare with 1st. Error analysis method could detect not only mistakes, problems occurred by semantic structure, but also slips by physical structure. These results can be applied to analyze cognitive causes of human errors and to solve their problems in menu structure of electronic products.

  • In this paper, an autonomous omni directional cleaning robot which recognizes an obstacle and a battery charger is introduced. It utilizes a robot vision, ultra sonic sensors, and infrared sensors information along with appropriate algorithm. Three omni-directional wheels make the robot move any direction, enabling a faster maneuvering than a simple track typed robot. The robot system transfers command and image data through Blue-tooth wireless modules to be operated in a remote place. The robot vision associated with sensor data makes the robot proceed in an autonomous behavior. An autonomous battery charger searching is implemented by using a map-building which results in overcoming the error due to the slip on the wheels, and camera and sensor information.

학습시스템에 기반한 개인화 정보 서비스에 관한 연구 (A study on the personalization information service based on learning system)

  • 본 연구에서는 도서관과 정보센터에서 전통적으로 제공되어진 SDI 서비스와 함께 일부 기관에서 제공하고 있는 맞춤정보 서비스를 기반으로 한 개인화 정보 서비스 시스템의 기술요소 및 전체 시스템의 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 개인화 정보 서비스 시스템은 이용자의 개인 프로파일정보를 바탕으로 이용자의 정보탐색행태 등을 추가 입력 값으로 해서 학습과정을 거쳐 이용자에게 가장 적절한 정보를 출력 값으로 제공할 수 있다. 이를 위해 개인화 정보 서비스 시스템에서가장 중요한 기능을 수행하는 학습시스템과 추천시스템을 구축하는데 필요한 요소에 대해 살펴보았다.

개인 관심분야 추적기법을 이용한 과학기술정보 개인화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Personalization of Science and Technology Information by User Interest Tracking Technique)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사용자의 정보 서비스 이용행태를 분석하여 검색하는 의도와 관심분야를 국가과학기술표준분류기반으로 파악하고 추적하며, 이를 이용해 과학기술정보를 개인화하는 것이다. 즉 과학기술정보 검색 성능을 개선하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 탐색하는데 효율성과 만족도를 동시에 충족시키고자 하였다. 실시간 관심분야 추적, 관심태그 클라우드 제공, 관심분야 기반 추천정보 제공, 검색 결과 개인화 네 가지 기능으로 구성된 과학기술정보 개인화 서비스를 개발하여 전문가 실험집단과 통제집단과의 검색 성능 비교를 통해 개인화 정보의 적합성 및 개인화 기능 유용성을 평가하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 제안된 개인화 서비스가 비교 대상 서비스보다 검색 성능이 더 우수한 것으로 나타났으며 더 높은 유용성을 제공하는 것을 입증하였다.

정보탐색이 치과의료기관 선택에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Information Search on the Choice of Dental Institution)

  • 본 연구는 치과 의료 소비자가 의료기관 선택을 위해 탐색하는 정보원의 중요 요인이 무엇이며, 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 정보탐색 행태를 파악하여 향후 치과의료기관에서 의료소비자의 선택에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 정보원을 개발하는 것을 주목적으로 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 치과를 방문하기 전 정보습득은 습득한다가 37.2%, 습득하지 않는다가 62.8%로 조사되었다. 2. 정보습득경로로는 지인의 소개가 77.3%, 인터넷 정보 이용이 33.6%로 조사되었다. 3. 성별에 따라 사전정보 습득 여부(p=0.000), 사전정보가 치료에 미치는 영향(p=0.000)에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 4. 연령에 따라서는 사전정보의 정확성에서 차이를 보였다.(p=0.010) 5. 최근 방문에서는 사전정보습득에 차이를 보였다(p=0.049). 6. 인터넷 정보 이용은 성별(p=0.048), 연령(p=0.000), 교육정도(p=0.004)에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 본 연구는 상표자산의 구성요소에 대한 선행요인을 분석하고 이를 토대로 하여 상표자산 구성요소와 상표자산 영향요인간의 관계 그리고 상표자산 구성요소와 구매의도간의 관계를 규명하고 한국과 영국을 중심으로 비교하여 상표자산관리 방안을 도출해보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 정보탐색은 제품지식에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 상표태도와 상표지식은 상표 충성도와 상표 가치에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 상표충성도와 상표가치는 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 정보원천의 경우, 한국에서는 제품지식에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고 있는 반면, 영국에서는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

정기선 해운서비스의 구매의사 결정에 관한 연구 - 정보탐색을 중심으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Shipper′s Decision Making Process of Liner Shipping Services : Primarily on the Information Search)

  • Shipping industry continues to face dramatic changes in its environment ranging from development in containerization, computerization and telecommunications to the emergence of global marketplace. Perhaps the most significant trend - representing both a threat and opportunity - is the increasingly competitive nature of shipping service market. In order for the shipping companies to cope with those improvements and challenges, they should analyze and clarify customer's DM(decision making) process for the purchase of container shipping service. The major research findings from the study were found as follows; 1) The degree of shipper's involvement in purchasing shipping services was found to be a discriminating variable affecting the information sources consisting of personal and non-personal information sources. 2) The positive relationship was found between the experiences on shipping services and non-personal information sources. 3) It was observed that as people had more experience searching for information, the more in depth their searches became. 4) There existed a positive relationship between knowledges on shipping services and information search. 5) According to the SEM analysis, the shipper's information search on shipping services was also found to have a great influence on the shipper's purchasing behavior. The shipper's search was resulted in positive customer satisfaction.

Information Seeking Behaviour of Distance Learners: What has Changed During the Covid-19?

  • All the aspects of human life have been affected by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). It has rapidly spread in most countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As a result, early precautionary actions aiming to minimise the virus effect are taken by the Saudi government. One of these actions is the sudden shift to online classes and suspending the attendees to all educational institutes. Such immediate change can have a significant effect on the educational process, especially for students. One can argue that students' information-seeking behaviour within the current situation can affect their learning quality and outcomes. Therefore, this paper examines the Saudi students' information-seeking behaviour by taking a sample of students from Umm Al-Qura University. A descriptive analysis is conducted with 193 students and two approaches are used to collect data, questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The results showed that the majority of students face difficulties when searching and retrieving e-resources from the university library website. The problems range from mainly poor User Experience (UX), network connection, multiple errors and lack of subscription with academic publishers.

Movie Recommendation System Based on Users' Personal Information and Movies Rated Using the Method of k-Clique and Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain

  • This study proposed the movie recommendation system based on the user's personal information and movies rated using the method of k-clique and normalized discounted cumulative gain. The main idea is to solve the problem of cold-start and to increase the accuracy in the recommendation system further instead of using the basic technique that is commonly based on the behavior information of the users or based on the best-selling product. The personal information of the users and their relationship in the social network will divide into the various community with the help of the k-clique method. Later, the ranking measure method that is widely used in the searching engine will be used to check the top ranking movie and then recommend it to the new users. We strongly believe that this idea will prove to be significant and meaningful in predicting demand for new users. Ultimately, the result of the experiment in this paper serves as a guarantee that the proposed method offers substantial finding in raw data sets by increasing accuracy to 87.28% compared to the three most successful methods used in this experiment, and that it can solve the problem of cold-start.

신제품 구매시 온라인 사회적 결정 역할 : 신제품 혁신성 조절효과 (Role of Online Social Decision When Purchasing NP : The Moderating Effect of NP Innovation)

  • Purpose - Recently, internet access and social network utilization using smart phone are increasing. In such a smart environment, interactive activities such as information generation, information searching and information sending are increasing rapidly on-line environment. Therefore, consumers tend to purchase something according to eWOM and also meet the social consensus online environment. In connectivity society, consumers became accessible and engaged in the opinions of others easily. Many decisions that seem like personal decisions are actually social decisions on online connectivity. This paper seeks to explore factors that can help generate a social decision on purchasing of new products in an online environment. Research design, data, and methodology - The process of collecting a lot of wisdom and making an agreement online is called social decision. The purpose of this paper is to examine empirically the influence of factors such as online ties, online eWOM expectancy and online information behavior on online social decision. In addition, We studied online social decision by analyzing the moderating effect of new product innovation. To understand this structural relationship, research hypotheses and research models were set up and empirical analysis was conducted. In order to verify the hypothesis, 208 questionnaires were collected from the residents of Seoul city/Gyeonggi province. The answered questionnaire verifies reliability and validity using SPSS/AMOS and test hypotheses through path analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results - According to the research results, First, online ties don't have a positive impact on online social decision, Second, online eWOM expectancy have a positive impact on online social decision. Third, online information behaviors have a positive impact on online social decision. The degree of innovation of new products have a moderating effect between Independent variables of three factors and dependent variable of social decision. Conclusions - Social decisions have a positive impact on purchasing decisions about new product. There is a great significance in the fact that the online social influence and online social decision have been studied academically. It is meaningful that we have studied in depth the changing phenomenon of consumer purchase decision process in smart environment. The results of these studies provide academic and practical implications.
