고령자를 위한 공공도서관 지역정보서비스에 관한 연구 (A Study on Community Information Services for Elderly People in Public Libraries)

  • 고령화 사회가 진행됨에 따라 공공도서관의 고령 이용자도 증가하고 있어 이들을 위한 서비스의 개발이 요구된다. 고령자에게 필요한 정보는 건강, 의료, 복지 등 지역과 밀접한 일상생활 관련한 정보가 많으며, 이는 공공도서관에서 제공하는 지역정보서비스의 주요 영역이기도 하다. 본 연구에서는 고령자에게 필요한 지역정보의 유형 및 내용, 제공 방법 등을 문헌연구, 해외사례조사 및 국내 현황조사를 통하여 정리하고 공공도서관의 지역정보서비스를 통한 고령자 서비스 강화 방안을 제안하였다.

저소득층 재가노인의 기능상태와 요구되는 요양서비스 유형 분석 (Functional Status and Long-Term Care Services for the Community-Dwelling Low-Income Elderly)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to explore the functional status and long-term care services for the community-dwelling low-income elderly. Method: A descriptive research design was used in this study. The functional status of the participants was obtained using Minimum Data Set-Home Care Version 2.0 and the long-term care services were identified via Michigan's choice. Total of 154 persons aged 65 years or older completed Korean Minimum Data Set-Home Care Version 2.0 on the community dwelling low-income elderly. Results: The average of Activities of Daily Living was 4.19, and the range was 0-55, while the average of Instrument of Activities of Daily Living was 4.85 and the range was 0-56. Among the subjects, 46.1% belonged to the Information and Referral group and 1.3% to the Nursing Home group. Severe daily pain was reported by 14.9%, and 76.6% of the participants had impaired vision. The Activities of Daily Living was difference according to living with, education, vision, and depression. The long-term care services differed according to gender, pain, vision, hearing, and depression. Conclusion: The support policy for the elderly needed to focus on impaired visual and depression to enhance the activities of daily living. Moreover, there is a need for the Information and Referral group to arrange and develop nursing intervention resources.

공공도서관(公共圖書館)의 지역사회 정보봉사(情報奉仕)에 관한 연구 (A Study of Community Information Services of Public Libraries)

  • 도서관(圖書館)은 그 기능의 발휘장소인 사회적 환경의 성격과 변화에 따라 형성되고 영향을 받는다. 이러한 사회적 장치로서 도서관은 정보시대(情報時代)라는 변화하는 상황에 맞추어 지역사회(地域社會) 정보봉사(情報奉仕)를 실시하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 지역사회 정보봉사의 등장배경과 범위를 살펴보고, 이 봉사를 실시하기 위해 필요한 전개요소와 혜택을 살펴보았다. 그리고 공공도서관(公共圖書館)을 대상으로 현황을 조사(調査), 분석(分析)하여 그 발전방안을 제시하였다.

Implementation of a care coordination system for chronic diseases

  • The number of people with chronic diseases has been increasing steadily but the indicators for the management of chronic diseases have not improved significantly. To improve the existing chronic disease management system, a new policy will be introduced, which includes the establishment of care plans for hypertension and diabetes patients by primary care physicians and the provision of care coordination services based on these plans. Care coordination refers to a series of activities to assist patients and their families and it has been known to be effective in reducing medical costs and avoiding the unnecessary use of the hospital system by individuals. To offer well-coordinated and high-quality care services, it is necessary to develop a service quality assurance plan, track and manage patients, provide patient support, agree on patient referral and transition, and develop an effective information system. Local governance should be established for chronic disease management, and long-term plans and continuous quality improvement are necessary.

미국 공공도서관의 인터넷 서비스 품질 평가에 대한 연구 (Measuring and Assessing Internet Service Quality at U.S. Public Libraries)

  • 1990년도부터 확산되기 시작한 미국 공공도서관 인터넷 서비스의 활성화로 새로운 측면의 도서관 e-서비스에 대한 이해와 측정 평가가 중요한 문제점으로 대두되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미국 공공도서관의 인터넷 서비스 품질 평가에 영향을 미치는 주요 결정 요인과 이용자 서비스 만족도 및 서비스 리퍼럴(service referral)과의 관계를 제시하기 위하여 마케팅 경영 분야에서 서비스 품질 평가의 대표적 모델로 알려진 SERVQUAL과 SERVPERF 그리고 현재 미국 대학도서관에서 각광을 받고 있는 도서관 품질 평가 모델인 LibQUAL+ 모델들을 비교 분석하였고 이를 활용하여 인터넷 서비스 품질 평가 모델을 개발함으로써 4가지 주요 인터넷 품질 평가 요인 및 이용자 서비스 만족도와 서비스 리퍼럴(service referral)의 관계를 구체적으로 제시하였다.

  • 이 연구는 지역정보서비스의 용어에 대한 근본적인 접근을 통해 서비스에 대한 이해를 돕고, 지역정보서비스의 현 실상을 조사한 결과를 토대로 서비스의 의미에 부합되게 제공되는지를 충분히 검토한 뒤, 의미에 적합한 지역정보서비스 제공 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 삼았다. 이러한 목적을 위해 이 연구에서는 (1) 지역정보서비스 관련 용어의 추이를 살펴보면서 지역정보서비스가 도서관서비스에서 가지는 의미를 분명하게 제시하고, (2) 국내 공공도서관의 지역정보서비스의 제공 실태를 조사한 뒤, (3) 지역정보서비스가 서비스 의미에 부합하게 제공되기 위해 우리 학계와 도서관계가 고민해야 할 과제와 전략에 대해서 논의하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 문헌연구와 사례조사를 실시하였고, 사례조사는 국내 12개 지역대표도서관의 홈페이지를 대상으로 분석하였다.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 도서관 업무 담당자의 목소리를 통해 커뮤니티 정보서비스의 운영 현황과 한계를 파악하고, 향후 과제와 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 이 연구에서는 커뮤니티 정보서비스가 지역주민들의 일상생활과 관련한 정보문제를 해결해주고자 할 때 무엇이 문제이고 어떻게 풀어나가는 것이 바람직한지에 대해 폭넓게 논의해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 (1) 커뮤니티 정보서비스와 관련한 다양한 용어가 사용되어온 추이를 살펴보고, 서비스의 본질적 의미가 가장 잘 드러나는 적절한 대표용어가 무엇인지, 그리고 개념적 범주가 어디까지인지에 대해 고찰해본 뒤, (2) 우리 도서관 현장에서 커뮤니티 정보서비스가 어떻게 운영되고 있는지를 실무자들의 관점에서 검토해 본 후, 이어 (3) 커뮤니티 정보서비스를 능동적으로 수행해 나가기 위해 문헌정보학계와 도서관 현장에서 해야 할 일이 무엇인지에 대해 구체적으로 논의해보았다. 연구에 필요한 데이터는 문헌연구와 더불어 지역대표도서관에서 커뮤니티 정보서비스를 담당하는 사서 20명을 대상으로 한 면담조사를 통해 확보하였다.

  • The overall goal of this study is to identify what I'||'&'||'R is, and what services should be offered as legitimate I'||'&'||'R actives. The gist of the study is as follows: 1. The shift of the clients targeted to receive the services from disadvantageous to every person. 2. Ambiguity in I'||'&'||'R definition. Because it is hard to distinguish I'||'&'||'R service from the traditional reference service, and shifting of clients, the establishment of the definition was very difficult. Instead of a definite answer, the criteria for "I'||'&'||'R Providers" was drawn. 3. Most provided services were simple and complex information giving based on resource file. Constructing resource file is a major component of I'||'&'||'R service. 4. From 1980s, many I'||'&'||'R providing libraries adapted computer a n.0, pplications. 5. Social work and library-internship was advised to conduct a cooperative project by NCLIS, I'||'&'||'R Task Force. 6. In the high technological era, there continue to be many people who need the su n.0, pportive relationship. I'||'&'||'R is to optimize both the service and clients. Librarian must learn from the principle of high tech/high touch.

청소년들을 위한 도서관봉사의 일고찰 (A study of reference services for young adult)

  • Through the close examination of characteristics of adolescent, social institutions and its programs, and newly added and expanded library reference services. it is founded that new role and qualifications of young adult reference librarians are prerequisite subject. The following are the summary of new role and qualifications of specialized young adult reference librarianship. 1. Adequate training and education for the YA librarians is needed in order to have understanding of their characteristics (physiology, psychology, personality etc.). 2. Because of librarian's unique exposure to human relations and their personal awareness of other people's need, YA librarian should bring a person-centered managerial technique. 3. Librarianship may not have a clinical counseling function but to provide right answer or information, the librarian become counselor inescapably. 4. Librarians are not professionally trained to be experts on counseling in sex education. However, librarians can play an important role in educating YA by committing book selection, reader's advisory, referral services, library programming and staff development planning.

한방의료의 이용행태 및 이용결정요인 분석 - 일부 대도시 지역주민을 중심으로 - (Utilization Patterns and Determinants of Oriental Medical Services : Focused on the Residents of Taegu City)

  • This study was conducted to examine utilization patterns and determinants of oriental medical services. Data were collected from 545 residents in Taegu city The results of this study are summarized as follows 1) 37.8% of subjects used oriental medical services in the past year. Especially, the female, the ages of 50 and 60 over, the single. low-educated. high-income class, white-collar class, medical insured tended to use more oriental medical services than another groups. 2) 46.7% of users of oriental medical services reported that number of visits in the past year was 2 - 5 times 37 1% of them was 1 times, and 4.5% over 10 times. 3) According to the reasons to choose the oriental medical facilities, most was 'on their own judgement'(48.8%) and 'by the advice of relatives and friends'(42.0%) Regarding to the objectives of using oriental medicine, 68.3% was 'treatment', 31.7% 'health counselling and promotion'. And among diseases of users, diseases of musculo-skeletal system was the highest(54.5%). 4) 57.9% of oriental medical services users had experience of utilizing western medicine on the same diseases. Among peoples with experiencing western medicine on the same diseases. 54.4% received oriental medical services 'in addition to western medicine', 45.6%'in place of western medicine 'And 41.2% of using both services reported that they had difficulty in deciding to choose the type of services -oriental medical services or western medicine-for their diseases. 37.3% of them answered that 'providing relevant information' was the most desirable measure to solve this problem, 27.3% 'establishment of effective referral system between oriental and western medical facilities '23.6% 'cooperative medical treatment systems in the same facilities', 11.8%'integration of oriental medicine into western medicine 5) According to the satisfaction level with each items of oriental medical services, the respondents had positive views on efficacy, kindness, and side-effects. They, however, had negative view on the cost of oriental medical services. 6) In regarding to the priority of improvement of oriental medical system,'expansion of insurance benefit package 'ranked first. 'expansion of insurance benefit Package 'ranked second, 'improvement of scientific methods and diagnostic technique 'third, and 'safety of herbal medicine' fourth in order. 7) The significant factors influencing the utilization of oriental medical services were kindness of oriental medical practitioners, efficacy , travel time, age To be brief, utilization rate of oriental medical services in urban area generally tends to be high. There, however, have been various barriers to limit oriental medical services, such as incomplete benefit package of oriental medical insurance and lack of coordination and referral system between oriental and western medical services, lack of scientific diagnostic procedures, high price etc . For the development of oriental medical services, Much attention to remove these limiting factors should be placed. In addition, kindness of oriental medical practitioners , which is expected to be more important factor in the consumer - focused health care environment than ever, should be kept high consistently. Since this study was conducted for specific residents of an urban city. further research including more sampling in different urban areas should be required to generalize the results of the study.
