User Category-Based Intelligent e-Commerce Meta-Search Engine

  • In this paper, we propose a meta-search engine which provides distributed product information through a unified access to multiple e-commerce. The meta-search engine proposed in this paper performs the following functions: (I) The user is able to create a category-based user query, (2) by using the WordNet, the query is semantical refined fined for increasing search accuracy, and (3) the meta-search engine recommends an e-commerce site which has the closest product information to the user's search intention, by matching the user query with the product catalogs in the e-commerce sites linked to the meta-search engine. An experiment shows that the performance of our model is better than that of general keyword-based search.

어휘사전 워드넷을 활용한 의미기반 웹 정보필터링 (Semantic-Based Web Information Filtering Using WordNet)

  • Information filtering for internet search, in which new information retrieval environment is given, is different from traditional methods such as bibliography information filtering, news-group and E-mail filtering. Therefore, we cannot expect high performance from the traditional information filtering models when they are applied to the new environment. To solve this problem, we inspect the characteristics of the new filtering environment, and propose a semantic-based filtering model which includes a new filtering method using WordNet. For extracting keywords from documents, this model uses the SDCC(Semantic Distance for Common Category) algorithm instead of the TF/IDF method usually used by traditional methods. The world sense ambiguation problem, which is one of causes dropping efficiency of internet search, is solved by this method. The semantic-based filtering model can filter web pages selectively with considering a user level and we show in this paper that it is more convenient for users to search information in internet by the proposed method than by traditional filtering methods.

FRBR형 검색서비스 개발을 위한 이용자 선호도 분석 (Analysis of User Preferences for Developing FRBR-Based Information Search Services)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 이용자들의 요구와 행태에 기반 한 FRBR형 검색서비스를 구현하기에 앞서, FRBR 모델의 적용유형별 이용자 선호도를 파악해 본 뒤, 국내 이용자에게 적합한 FRBR형 검색서비스의 개발 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 이 연구에서는 (1) FRBR 모델 관련 문헌에 대한 광범위한 조사와 분석에 근거하여 현재까지 진행되어 왔던 핵심 논의들을 살펴보고, (2) 문헌에서 다뤄진 해외 사례를 대상으로 FRBR 모델이 어떻게 구현되었는지 살펴 적용방식의 특징을 조사하고, (3) 국내 이용자들이 국외에서 개발한 FRBR 검색시스템을 어떻게 평가하는지를 분석한 뒤, (4) 본격적으로 FRBR형 검색서비스를 개발하기에 앞서 전체적인 개발 방향에 대해서 논의하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 4개의 FRBR형 검색서비스(FictionFinder, AustLit, Perseus Digital Library, Virtua)를 선정하여 모델의 적용방식을 확인하였고, 문헌정보학과 학부생 4명과 대학원생 4명을 대상으로 개별 적용유형에 따른 이용자 선호도를 분석하였다.

외식기업의 기능적 일치성이 정보탐색비용의 절감과 긍정적 감정, 부정적 감정 그리고 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Functional Congruence on the Information Search Cost Reduction, Positive Emotions, Negative Emotions, and Loyalty in Restaurant)

  • Purpose: Consumers' experience of functional attributes is remembered, and the experience lowers the cost of consumers' input from their point of view and reduces uncertainty. It also plays an important role in consumers' positive emotions and responses. Accordingly, if information search costs are reduced in terms of the costs perceived by consumers about restaurants, a strategy differentiated from other companies can be established. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of functional congruence of restaurant stores on information search cost reduction, positive/negative emotions, and loyalty. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: This study investigated functional congruence, information search cost reduction, and positive/negative emotions. The structural relationship between loyalty was analyzed. To verify this, a research hypothesis was established based on previous studies and a research model was constructed. The questionnaire items were modified and used according to the current study, based on previous studies. The data were collected using the questionnaire method from 187 people who had dining out experience. Frequency analysis was performed to confirm demographic characteristics. Reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity of the collected data were verified. The research model was analyzed with a structural equation modeling (SmartPLS 4). Results: The findings show that functional congruence had significant positive effects on information search cost reduction and positive emotion, but no significant effect on negative emotion. Information search cost reduction had significant positive effects on positive emotion/negative emotion but did not significantly affect loyalty. Lastly, both positive and negative emotions had significant positive effects on loyalty. Conclusion: Based on transaction cost theory, this study found how functional congruence and information search cost reduction influence consumers' emotions. The functional attributes of restaurants were perceived by customers as information, thus uncertainty was decreased. Finally, appropriate management strategies and implications of functional congruence and information search cost in the restaurant were suggested.

  • The navigation problem of robot is one of the main themes to deal with conficts or interferences between obstacles and the robot itself In this case, while the robot avoids obstacles on the space, the passage route should be determined efficiently. In order to solve problems above, we have come up with the distance field space medel (DFM) and then, under known environment, we have presented the distance field A algorithm for passage route path search. In this research, the method of performing the 3-dimensional passage route path search of robot under unknown environment is proposed. It is shown that the authors can build the distance search model the does not need space division by taking into account of sensor information to a distance field space model, and constructing this information as virtual obstacle information.

K-Hop Community Search Based On Local Distance Dynamics

  • Community search aims at finding a meaningful community that contains the query node and also maximizes (minimizes) a goodness metric. This problem has recently drawn intense research interest. However, most metric-based algorithms tend to include irrelevant subgraphs in the identified community. Apart from the user-defined metric algorithm, how can we search the natural community that the query node belongs to? In this paper, we propose a novel community search algorithm based on the concept of the k-hop and local distance dynamics model, which can naturally capture a community that contains the query node. The basic idea is to envision the nodes that k-hop away from the query node as an adaptive local dynamical system, where each node only interacts with its local topological structure. Relying on a proposed local distance dynamics model, the distances among nodes change over time, where the nodes sharing the same community with the query node tend to gradually move together, while other nodes stay far away from each other. Such interplay eventually leads to a steady distribution of distances, and a meaningful community is naturally found. Extensive experiments show that our community search algorithm has good performance relative to several state-of-the-art algorithms.

MZ세대 소비자의 패션상품 구매의사결정여정의 반복순환모델 (Iterative Cyclic Model of Generation MZ's Consumer Purchase Decision Journey for a Fashion Product)

  • This study aimed to identify characteristics of Generation MZ's consumer purchase decision journey to develop the new fashion CDJ model. The initial stage was affected by habit, online community, social media, aesthetics, circumstantial need, and proxy. In the search and consideration stage, mobile channels were used actively. In the active search and evaluation stage, online media, experiential data, and personal information were employed. In the purchase stage, zoomers took plenty of time in search and evaluation before spending, contrary to millennials who made their purchases more quickly. In the post-purchase experience stage, zoomers actively displayed follow-up behaviors depending on their satisfaction, such as retaining or deleting the app. While, millennials did not turn away from the store or brand, but followed up on their purchases even when they had an unsatisfactory experience. Based on the characteristics of CDJ, iterative cycle CDJ models were developed. Zoomers CDJ model was presented as a search loop that consists of the search and evaluation process, in which information accumulates, and a purchase loop in which the actual purchase occurs. The iterative cycle CDJ model was presented connected to the loyalty loop as the main section, which is accelerated in millennials' CDJ model.

검색 재순위화를 위한 가중치 반영 딥러닝 학습 모델 (Search Re-ranking Through Weighted Deep Learning Model)

  • 정보검색에서 질의는 다양한 유형이 존재한다. 추상적인 질의부터 구체적인 키워드를 포함하는 질의까지 다양한 형태로 구성되어 있어서 사용자의 요구에 정확한 결과 도출은 어려운 과제이다. 또한 검색시스템이 오타, 다국어, 코드와 같은 다양한 요소를 포함하는 질의를 다뤄야 하는 특징이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 질의 유형을 분석하고, 이에 따라 딥러닝 기반 재순위화의 적용 여부를 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 최근 연구에서 높은 성능을 보인 딥러닝 모델인 DeBERTa를 이용하여 질의에 대한 적합 문서의 학습을 통해 재순위화를 수행한다. 제안 방법의 유효성을 평가하기 위해 국제정보검색 평가대회인 TREC 2023의 상품 검색 트랙(Product Search Track) 테스트컬렉션을 이용하여 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과에 대한 정규화된 할인누적이득(NDCG) 성능측정 비교에서 제안 방법이 정보검색 기본 모델인 BM25 에 비해 질의 오류 처리를 통한 검색, 잠정적 적합성피드백을 통한 상품제목 기반 질의확장과 질의유형에 따른 재순위화에서 0.7810으로 BM25 대비 10.48% 향상을 보였다.

A Study on the Product Categorization Model for Efficient Search in On-line Chartering

  • Off-line ship chartering is done nearly through the brokers. Because of the international scale of chartering market, brokers spend too much times and costs on searching the most appropriate product which the consumers want. In this research, we propose the on-line Charter Product Categorization Model to search the products efficiently in the Cyber Chartering System. This Model will make concerned parties of the ship chartering to get unified product information efficiently, and the select the most appropriate product. In this research, we classified the ship chartering products into categories of cargo, ship type, and sea routes, and defined mutual relation of each products, and we verified that this classification is necessary to search the products through the product searching experiment.

XML 웹 서비스 검색 엔진의 개발 (Development of a XML Web Services Retrieval Engine)

  • UDDI (Universal Discovery Description and Integration) Registry is used for Web Services registration and search. UDDI offers the search result to the keyword-based query. UDDI supports WSDL registration but it does not supports WSDL search. So it is required that contents based search and ranking using name and description in UDDI registration information and WSDL. This paper proposes a retrieval engine considering contents of services registered in the UDDI and WSDL. It uses Vector Space Model for similarity comparison between contents of those. UDDI registry information hierarchy and WSDL hierarchy are considered during searching process. This engine suppports two discovery methods. One is Keyword-based search and the other is template-based search supporting ranking for user's query. Template-based search offers how service interfaces correspond to the query for WSDL documents. Proposed retrieval engine can offer search result more accurately than one which UDDI offers and it can retrieve WSDL which is registered in UDDI in detail.
