열변형으로 인한 인공위성 관측장비 지향오차 연구 (A Study on the Verifying Structural Safety of Satellite Structure by Coupled Load Analysis)

  • 인공위성 구조체는 궤도상에서 열하중으로 인하여 구조적인 변형을 일으키게 된다. 이로 인하여 구조체에 장착된 관측장비들은 지상에서 조립 시에 설정된 지향방향이 변화하게 되고 원하지 않는 방향으로 관측하는 문제점이 발생한다. 위성의 관측성능이 높아질수록 성공적인 관측임무를 수행하기 위해서는 열변형에 의한 지향방향의 변화량은 줄어들어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 지구궤도 위성에 대하여 열변형 해석을 수행하여 지향오차를 예측하는 방법 및 결과에 대하여 기술한다.

  • RF power amplifier requires linearization in order to reduce adjacent channel interference. And most of the existing linearization algorithms assume that a PA has memory-less nonlinearity. But for the wider bandwidth signal, the memory effect of PA cannot be ignored. This paper investigates digital pre-distortion by use of a memory polynomial model which compensates for amplifier nonlinearity and memory effect. The look-up table based implementation scheme is used to reduce the computational complexity of the pre-distortion block. The linearization performance is demonstrated on wideband CDMA signal and class AB high power amplifier.

Fitting to Panchromatic Image for Pansharpening Combining Point-Jacobian MAP Estimation

  • This study presents a pansharpening method, so called FitPAN, to synthesize multispectral images at a higher resolution by exploiting a high-resolution image acquired in panchromatic modality. FitPAN is a modified version of the quadratic programming approach proposed in (Lee, 2008), which is designed to generate synthesized multispectral images similar to the multispectral images that would have been observed by the corresponding sensor at the same high resolution. The proposed scheme aims at reconstructing the multispectral images at the higher resolution with as less spectral distortion as possible. This study also proposes a sharpening process to eliminate some distortions appeared in the fused image of the higher resolution. It employs the Point-Jacobian MAP iteration utilizing the contextual information of the original panchromatic image. In this study, the new method was applied to the IKONOS 1m panchromatic and 4m multispectral data, and the results were compared with them of several current approaches. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can achieve significant improvement in both spectral and block distortion.

초분광영상의 조명효과 보정 전처리기법 분석 (Analyzing Preprocessing for Correcting Lighting Effects in Hyperspectral Images)

  • Because hyperspectral imaging provides detailed spectral information across a broad range of wavelengths, it can be utilized in numerous applications, including environmental monitoring, food quality inspection, medical diagnosis, material identification, art authentication, and crime scene analysis. However, hyperspectral images often contain various types of distortions due to the environmental conditions during image acquisition, which necessitates the proper removal of these distortions through a data preprocessing process. In this study, a preprocessing method was investigated to effectively correct the distortion caused by artificial light sources used in indoor hyperspectral imaging. For this purpose, a halogen-tungsten artificial light source was installed indoors, and hyperspectral images were acquired. The acquired images were then corrected for distortion using a preprocessing that does not require complex auxiliary equipment. After the corrections were made, the results were analyzed. According to the analysis, a statistical transformation technique using mean and standard deviation with reference to a reference signal was found to be the most effective in correcting distortions caused by artificial light sources.

열악한 환경에 강인한 화자인증을 위한 위상 기반 특징 추출 기법 (A Phase-related Feature Extraction Method for Robust Speaker Verification)

  • 화자인증 시스템은 훈련 환경과 인식 환경이 다른 경우 인식 성능이 크게 저하된다. 이러한 훈련과 인식 환경의 불일치는 다양한 잡음과 상이한 채널 환경 때문이다. 본 논문은 화자인증 시스템의 강인성 개선을 위하여 음성신호의 위상에 기반한 특정 추출 기법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 음성신호의 위상으로부터 순시 주파수를 계산하여 대역별로 순시 주파수를 모두 모아 구한 히스토그램으로부터 특징 계수를 추출한다. 이 특징 파라미터를 적용한 결과 조 용한 환경뿐만 아니라 잡음환경 그리고 채널 왜곡 환경에서도 화자인증 시스템의 성능이 개선됨을 알 수 있다.

펄스 충실도 개선을 위한 UWB 안테나 설계기법 연구 (A study on the UWB Antenna Design Techniques for Improving Pulse Fidelity)

  • 본 논문에서는 임펄스 방사를 위한 UWB 안테나를 펄스 충실도 및 왜곡율 수식을 유도하고 적용하여 펄스 충실도가 개선된 안테나를 설계하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. UWB 대역에서 지향성 특성을 갖는 안테나는 낮은 방사손실과, 임펄스 방사왜곡이 최소이어야 한다. 이를 위하여 광대역 임피던스 변환기와 마이크로스트립 슬롯라인 천이부 구조를 갖는 안테나 급전부를 설계하였다. 설계 및 제작된 UWB 안테나는 전파 무반사실에서 방사패턴을 측정하였다. 제작된 UWB 안테나의 임펄스 방사에 의한 펄스충실도는 ${\pm}30^{\circ}$ 빔폭내에서 93%이상의 개선된 결과를 얻었다.

Distortion Measurement based Dynamic Packet Scheduling of Video Stream over IEEE 802.11e WLANs

  • In H.264, three different data partition types are used, which have unequal importance to the reconstructed video quality. To improve the performance of H.264 video streaming transmission over IEEE 802.11e Wireless Local Area Networks, a prioritization mechanism that categorizes different partition types to different priority classes according to the calculated distortion within one Group of Pictures. In the proposed scheme, video streams have been encoded based on the H.264 codec with its data partition enabled. The dynamic scheduling scheme based on Enhanced Distributed Channel Access has been configured to differentiate the data partitions according to their distortion impact and the queue utilization ratio. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the received video quality by 1dB in PSNR compared with the existing Enhanced Distributed Channel Access static mapping scheme.

테레비젼 신호중단에 있어 화질에 영향을 주는 요인에 관한 연구

  • VHF 및 UHF 챠넬의 TV 信號는 映像 및 音聲을 포함한 6MHz의 대역폭으로 챠넬變換 된후 直線增幅器를 통해 재 送信될 때 搬送波付近의 兩側波帶傳送領域에서 出力振幅周波數特性에 不自然스러운 變化가 생겨 화질에 影響을 주는수가 있다. 이러한 現像은 發振器로 부터의 不要信號로 因한 不要下側帶波의 發生등 問題가 되는 要因인 트랜지스터 直線增幅器의 非直線性, MIXER 회로에서의 상호변조 歪 AM-PM 變換 및 envelope delay 特性 등을 고려하여 出力特性을 구한 결과 主原因은 非直線性에 의한 것이였으며 實驗結果로서는 非直線性의 主因으로 Bias 조건의 불합리 및 發振器로 부터의 不要周波數의 發生이 가장 큰 原因으로 나타났다. 특히 인접信號에 對한 相互變調歪 및 不要信號發生은 Up conversion의 경우가 Down Conversion의 경우보다 현저히 감소됨을 확인하였고 發振器로부터의 spurious가 system에 영향을 주지 않는 方案을 모색하였다.

히스토그램 이동과 차분을 이용한 가역 비밀 이미지 공유 기법 (Reversible Secret Image Sharing Scheme Using Histogram Shifting and Difference Expansion)

  • In this paper, we propose a (2,2)-reversible secret image sharing scheme using histogram shifting and difference expansion. Two techniques are widely used in information hiding. Advantages of them are the low distortion between cover and stego images, and high embedding capacity. In secret image sharing procedure, unlike Shamir's secret sharing, a histogram generate that the difference value between the original image and copy image is computed by difference expansion. And then, the secret image is embedded into original and copy images by using histogram shifting. Lastly, two generated shadow images are distributed to each participant by the dealer. In the experimental results, we measure a capacity of a secret image and a distortion ratio between original image and shadow image. The results show that the embedding capacity and image distortion ratio of the proposed scheme are superior to the previous schemes.

영상 부호화를 위한 DCT 계수의 시각적 분석 및 순차적 규에지 벡터 양자화 (Perceptual Decomposition and Sequential Principal Edge Vector Quantization of DCT Coefficients for Image Coding)

  • We propose a new image coding method which takes into account both statistical redundancy and perceptual irrelevancy of the DCT coefficients so as to provide a high quality of the reconstructed images with a reduced transmission bit rate First, a block of DCT coefficients are decomposed into 16 subvectors so as for a subvector to convey key information about one of the low-pass or the dirctional filtered images. Then, the most significant subvector is selected as the principal edge of the block and then vector quantized. After that, the residuals of the block are computed and then sequentially quantized through aforementioned procedure until the quantization distortion is smaller than the target distortion. The proposed scheme is good at encoding images with a variety of transmission bit rates, especially at very low bit rate coding. In addition, it is another benifit of the proposed scheme that an image can be quantized with a wide range of the transmission bit rates by simply adapting the stopping criterion of the sequential vector quantizer according to the target distortion of the reconstructed image.
