This research attempted to examine the influence of the public library on our society and its relationship with social capital. For this research, a theoretical approach to the relationship was required. This approach enabled the research to analyze the type and range of the social capital being studied. In addition, this research emphasized that the social influence of public libraries was equivalent to the influence of social capital, based on the interaction between individual and community. The research outlined the mechanism by which public libraries create social capital. Finally the findings of this research were expected to help to develop an effective policy for public libraries.
The ecosystem in the Gwangju Stream has taken a wide range of disturbance such as the discharging water of sewage treatment plant, the lake water and the river water from different water system over the past decade. This study was figured out some significant influence factors by analyzing the relationship between biotic and abiotic factors in the urban stream. Abiotic components included 15 water quality variables which were measured in five sampling sites along the stream from October 2014 to July 2015, whereas the benthic macroinvertebrates found in those sites were used to estimate various biotic indices representing the ecological status of the community. The results of correlation analyses indicated that abiotic factors by human activities affected on the inhabitation of benthic macroinvertebrates more than biotic factors. The results of cluster analyses and ANOVA tests also showed that biotic and abiotic characteristics were clearly different in season. The main influence factors of cluster analysis by sites were $NH_3-N$, EPT(I) and DO. It was considered that more various statistical analyses would be necessary to find some different relationships and influence factors between biotic and abiotic variables in the urban stream.
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of weight with gentamicin assay error on the Bayesian and nonlinear least squares regression analysis in 12 Korean appen dicitis patients. Gentamicin was administered intravenously over 0.5 h every 8 h. Three specimens were collected at 48 h after the first dose from all patients at the following times, just before regularly scheduled infusion, at 0.5 h and 2 h after the end of 0.5 h infusion. Serum gentamicin levels were analyzed by fluorescence polarization immunoassay technique with TDxFLx. The standard deviation (SD) of the assay over its working range had been determined at the serum gentamicin concentrations of 0, 2, 4, 8, 12, and 16 ${\mu}g$/mL in quadruplicate. The polynominal equation of gentamicin assay error was found to be SD (${\mu}g$/mL) = 0.0246-(0.0495C)+ (0.00203C$^2$). There were differences in the influence of weight with gentamicin assay error on pharmacokinetic parameters of gentamicin using the nonlinear least squares regression analysis but there were no differences on the Bayesian analysis. This polynominal equation can be used to improve the precision of fitting of pharmacokinetic models to optimize the process of model simulation both for population and for individualized pharmacokinetic models. The result would be improved dosage regimens and better, safer care of patients receiving gentamicin.
This paper is based on our comments and proposed amendments to the documents, Annex A, Phantom for determining Maximum Depth of Penetration, and Annex B, Local Dynamic Range Using Acoustical Test Objects 87/400/CDV. IEC 61391-2 Ed. 1.0 200X, prepared by IEC technical Committee 87; Ultrasonics. The documents are concerned with the influence of microstructure of reference target material on the ultrasonic backscattering. Previous works on the attenuation due to backreflection and backscattering of reference target materials are reviewed. The drawback to the use of ungraded stainless steel and metallic materials without microstructural data such as, crystal structure, basic acoustic data of sound velocity and attenuation, grain size, roughness and elastic constants has been discussed. The analysis suggested that the insightful conclusion can be made by differentiating the influence arising from target size and microstructure on the backscattering measurements. The microstructural parameters are associated with physical, geometrical, acoustical and mechanical origins of variation with frequency. Further clarification of such a diverse source mechanisms for ultrasonic backscattering would make the target material and its application for medical diagnosis and therapy simpler and more reliable.
The multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of apparel products: Relationships with attitudinal and behavioral variables Price has a significant relationship to clothing products not only because of its practical, emotional and symbolic attributes but also because of its wide range and frequent changes. The purpose of this study was to identify the multi-faceted influence of price on consumers' purchasing process of clothing products. Six types of price-perceptions were related to various attitudinal and behavioral variables in a clothing purchase. A questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 720 adult women living in Seoul. Factor analysis, multiple regression, t-test and canconical correlation were employed to analyze the data. Low price consciousness was negatively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and effected the one-price sale, visiting public markets and using interpersonal sources of price information. Value for money consciousness was positively related to product-oriented aspects of clothing and consumers' age or marriage and effected price considerations at the on-purchase and post-purchase stage. Price-quality inference was related to product-oriented and market-oriented aspects of clothing while price-prestige inference was related to visual and symbolic aspects of clothing and effected normal-price purchasing. Sale proneness was related to market-oriented aspects of clothing and effected seasonal sale price purchasing and price mavenism was related to market-oriented and visual aspects of clothing and effected price considerations at the pre-purchase stage.

The study examines the influence of COVID-19 on the stock market returns of Saudi Arabia. The data was analyzed through event study methodology using daily price data of Tadawul All Share Index (TASI). The study examines the behavior pattern of the Saudi Arabian stock market in different phases during the event period by selecting six-event windows with a range of 10 days. The results report a negative Abnormal Return (AR) of -0.003 on the event date, while the abnormal returns reversed the next day to 0.005 positively. The result of Cumulative Abnormal Return (CAR) is negative and significant at the 1 percent level in all the six-event windows starting from the event date to day 59 after the event for the TASI index. Even though the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic decreased after 30 days of the event date, it increased during the last ten days of the event window. The stock market volatility of Saudi Arabia increased during the post-event period compared to the pre-event period with a negative mean return of -0.326 and a greater standard deviation. In a conclusion, the study found a significant influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the stock market returns of TASI.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the daily living area of the elderly using the vast amount of travel route data collected through smart phones. In order to analyze the utilization status of the elderly into the visiting area and the living area, the subway station influence area was typed based on the number and ratio of the elderly visiting and the elderly living there. The characteristics of the elderly visiting area and the living area of the subway station area were derived by analyzing the walking route data for the three types of subway station influence areas where the elderly visit and live. First, we derive the range of visiting area and living area of the elderly near the subway station. Second, we derive the characteristic of moving distance which causes the linked walking of the elderly. Third, destination distribution and facility utilization are influenced by the subject of use, movement pattern, and facility awareness.
Generation MZ has emerged as a significant consumer segment and trendsetter in the fashion market of South Korea. Fashion designer brands have become popular among this generation by offering a range of fashion content on social network services (SNS) based on fresh and trendy designs. Despite the growing market share of fashion designer brands in the industry, previous research has mainly focused on brand personality in line with the characteristics of traditional fashion brands. Therefore, this study aims to derive brand personality and SNS characteristics of fashion designer brands based on previous research and investigate the influence of these factors on brand preference and behavioral intention. Moreover, it examines how this influencing mechanism fluctuates based on the consumer type (i.e., innovative type vs. price-sensitive type). Based on an online survey of 256 Korean adults with experience in fashion designer brands, this study identified the influencing mechanisms on purchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. This study contributes to empirical investigations of consumer brand preference and behavior intention in fashion designer brands through the brand equity model. It also offers insight into developing a segmented brand strategy by considering the variations in the influence mechanism of behavioral intention across different consumer types.

This study examined the relationship among service quality perceived by consumers according to the types of driving ranges(I: indoor and outdoor), market segmentation, the reason for choice of the driving range, customer satisfaction and loyalty and analyze their causal relationship. To reach this goal, this study conducted a questionnaire research for consumers of driving ranges by dividing it into the indoor and outdoor ranges. The quest-factor analysis(SPSSWIN Ver 13.0), the confirmatory factor analysis and the structural equation modeling method (AMOS 6.0) were used to analyze the data collected for this study. Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions were drawn: The reason for the choice in both indoor driving and outdoor driving had no direct influence on the customer loyalty, but it had an indirect influence on the customer loyalty through customer satisfaction and service expectation. In addition, the service expectation had a direct influence on the customer loyalty in both indoor driving and outdoor driving. Therefore, the customer satisfaction in both indoor driving and outdoor driving serve as a significant mediating variable to reinforce the relationship between the service quality and customer loyalty.

This study simulated water quality item and flow rate of subbasin for Saemangeum watershed using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model and Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) model which simulate hydraulic and water quality in three-dimensions. The simulated values corresponded to observed value well. The result of simulation for floodgate operations at the M3 and M5 points, it exceeds water quality standard and at the M3 and D3 points, change of range for concentration is too wide, and upstream of Saemangeum reservoir is sensitive to inflow flow rate. Compared to the annual average concentration for observed station according to the discharge conditions, improvement of water quality for upstream was apparently compared to the downstream. Range of influence for change of water quality presented that maximum discharge condition, the influence range is 22 km in the direction of the Saemangeum downstream from the Mankyung bridge, and 15 km in the downstream direction of saemangeum in the Dongjin bridge. This study result demonstrated that floodgate operating at upstream has significant influence on water quality management of Saemangeum reservoir and it needs to be considered in plans of water quality management for Floodgate operation on Saemangeum reservoir.
