정부출연연구기관의 산학연 공동연구 성과 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Collaborative Research in Government Research Institutes)

  • Research collaboration is regarded as core source to lead various innovations in all countries. This paper compares and analyzes the performance of Industry-University-Government Research Institutes (GRI) collaboration based on the four types of research collaborations; GRI-GRI, Industry-GRI, University-GRI and Industry-University-GRI. So this paper will show which collaboration type has the best work on each R&D step. We use four R&D steps; research, development, commercialization and overall. We also evaluate the performance of research collaboration of GRIs based on the collaboration types. In order to evaluate the performance of research collaboration, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is employed for measuring the efficiency of GRIs in this paper. DEA is a non-parametric approach to measuring the relative efficiency of decision-making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. The empirical results represent that the performance of collaboration with industry is generally superior to other collaboration types. These findings from this paper are expected to provide basic information for national collaboration strategy making.

Anti-Aging Activity of Lavandula angustifolia Extract Fermented with Pediococcus pentosaceus DK1 Isolated from Diospyros kaki Fruit in UVB-Irradiated Human Skin Fibroblasts and Analysis of Principal Components

  • The effects of Lavandula angustifolia extract fermented with Pediococcus pentosaceus DK1 on UVB-mediated MMP-1 expression and collagen decrease in human skin fibroblasts were determined, and the conversion of its components was also analyzed. Fermentation was performed at varying L. angustifolia extract and MRS medium concentrations, and optimal fermentation conditions were selected. L. angustifolia extracts showed decreased cytotoxicity after fermentation in the fibroblasts. UVB-irradiated fibroblasts treated with fermented L. angustifolia extract showed MMP-1 expression 8.2-14.0% lower than that in UVB-irradiated fibroblasts treated with non-fermented extract. This was observed even at fermented extract concentrations lower than those of non-fermented extracts. Fibroblasts treated with fermented L. angustifolia extract showed 20% less reduction in collagen production upon UVB irradiation than those treated with non-fermented extracts. UVB-irradiated fibroblasts treated with fermented L. angustifolia extracts showed 50% higher inhibition of ROS generation than those treated with non-fermented extract. Luteolin and apigenin glycosides of L. angustifolia were converted during fermentation, and identified using RP-HPLC and LC/ESI-MS. Therefore, the effects of L. angustifolia extract on MMP-1 expression and collagen decrease in UVB-irradiated human skin fibroblasts were increased through fermentation by P. pentosaceus.

일본 홋카이도대학 리서치 & 비즈니스파크의 성장요인과 정책적 시사점 (Growth Factors and Policy Implications of Hokkaido University Research & Business Park in Japan)

  • 본 연구는 창업과 기업 성장 기반이 취약한 비수도권 지역에서 지역대학의 우수한 연구·산학협력 역량을 기반으로 캠퍼스에 지역혁신생태계를 구축한 사례로서 일본의 홋카이도대학 리서치&비즈니스파크에 주목한다. 홋카이도대학 리서치&비즈니스파크는 캠퍼스 유휴부지를 활용하여 지역 주도로 중장기계획을 수립하고, 그에 따라 2003년부터 지금까지 점진적인 개발과정을 거쳐서 조성되고 있으며, 지역대학 특성화와 지역산업 기반을 고려한 바이오산업클러스터 구축이라는 산업적 접근 방식을 통해 산학협력 활성화를 추구하였다. 또한 지역 산학연관 협력적 거버넌스에 의해 다양한 기업지원 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 홋카이도대학 리서치&비즈니스파크 조성전략은 최근 캠퍼스 혁신파크 등 대학 캠퍼스를 활용하여 지역의 발전을 도모하는 각종 정책 및 사업에 중요한 정책적 시사점을 제공한다.

공급자와 구매자간 협력과 공급자 성과에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 공급자의 성과에 대한 협력의 매개효과를 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study of the Collaboration and Supplier Performance between Supplier and Buyer)

  • In this study, we conduct an empirical study to investigate the impact of the interdependence and trust between supplier and buyer on both their collaboration and supplier performance in automobile industry supply chain. The result shows that there is a positive relationship between the supplier's dependence and trust on the buyer and their collaboration. Moreover, it shows that supplier's dependence and trust on the buyer affects supplier performance through collaboration as a mediating effect. Therefore it is very important to notice that supplier and buyer in automobile industry should try to have a good collaborative relationship together in order to improve supplier performance.

중소기업의 산학연 연구개발(R&D) 협력과 기업 성과 분석 (An Analysis of Industry-University-Institute R&D Collaboration and Firm Performance on SMEs)

  • 지식기반관점(KBV)에서 산학연 연구개발(R&D) 협력은 기업의 부족한 기술 및 지식을 획득하기 위해 매우 중요한 수단으로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 산학연 연구개발(R&D) 협력에 따른 기업 성과를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 협력 연구가 과연 기업 성과에 실제로 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 협력 유형에 따라 기업 성과에 차이가 있는지를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 2006년부터 2009년까지 국가연구개발사업을 수행한 250개 중소기업을 대상으로 연구개발(R&D) 협력 비율 및 유형과 기업 성과와의 관계를 검증하였다. 또한 기업 성과는 특허 출원 건수로 측정한 기술적 성과와 총자산수익률(ROA)로 측정한 경제적 성과로 구분하였다. 분석 결과, 연구개발(R&D) 협력 비율과 기술적 성과는 역U자형(inverted U-shape) 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 연구개발(R&D) 협력 유형 중에서 산산 협력 연구는 기술적 성과에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 산학연 협력 연구는 기술적 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 경제적 성과의 경우에는 연구개발(R&D) 협력 비율 및 유형과 큰 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 중소기업의 산학연 연구개발(R&D) 협력과 관련된 정부의 정책이나 기업의 전략을 수립하는데 큰 시사점을 제시할 것으로 판단된다.

섬유의류업체의 기술협력과 기술혁신이 기업성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Technological Collaboration and Innovation on Company Performance of Textile and Clothing Companies)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the level of technological collaboration and technological innovation, and to analyze the effects of these variables on performance of textile and clothing companies. The data were collected from participants of Preview in Daegu Exhibition and Seoul Fashion Sourcing Fair as well as a panel on the Research Institute. The results showed that the numbers of technological collaboration and technological innovation were relatively low but the level of technological collaboration was slightly high. The regression analyses indicated that technological collaboration had a significant effect but technological innovation didn't have a significant effect on company performance. However, these two variables had significant effects on innovation performance.

  • The accelerating adoption of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is challenging collaboration practices established in the construction industry. The implementation of BIM involves changes in participants work, organization, processes and collaboration methods. Therefore there is a need to be able to measure effectively and accurately collaboration, in order to analyze and determine current practices and their performances in organizations (company, team project) as well as changes required. Previous researches scope from evaluating BIM maturity of an organization to BIM collaboration requirements but lack of proper tools and methods to analyze collaboration performances. This is especially true when it comes to evaluate the efficiency and collaboration performances of processes rather than systems or organizations. Thus this research aims to analyze systematically and comprehensively previous researches proposing diversified methods to evaluate BIM performances and collaboration. Furthermore it aims to suggest key indicators to evaluate collaboration performances of processes and project organizations. This research may contribute to better understanding of collaboration performances within organizations using BIM and further development of evaluation method for analyzing BIM design project.

융합기술 개발을 위한 중소기업 간 협업모형 제안 (Study on the Cooperation Model for Fusion-Technology Development in SMEs)

  • Industry convergence is the inexorable trend, which has become a fundamental concept to understand the industrial dynamics and to develop business strategies. However, most of the previous studies on convergence have dealt with the issues at the macro-level (technology- or industry-level), little attention has been paid to the analysis of convergence at the micro level (firm-level). Recognizing that firms are the principal agents that develop fusion technologies, it is encouraged to help firms to work together for technology convergence. Therefore, this research proposes a collaboration model for SMEs, since SMEs tend to have novel ideas and are flexible enough to make fusion-technology. To do this, we conducted a survey for Korean SMEs and analyzed their successful cases of collaboration, which was used as a basis to develop the model. The research results will help develop strategy or policy to promote the collaboration between SMEs and ultimately to make a fusion-technology.

지역사회 문제해결형 산학협력을 통한 대학의 역할 제고 방안 (The Role of Universities in Solving Local and Regional Problems)

  • 최근 들어 대학의 새로운 역할로서 기업가적 대학으로서의 경제적 기여뿐만 아니라 지역사회 문제에 대한 적극적인 참여를 통한 지역사회 공헌이라는 제3의 임무가 강조되고 있다. 이에 해외의 대학들은 지역 기반의 지속가능 발전을 목표로 한 다양한 산학협력 활동을 전개하여, 지역재생과 지역혁신에 있어서의 역할을 제고하고 있다. 국내 대학들도 정부의 대학재정지원사업을 통해 지역의 다양한 주체들과 협력적 거버넌스를 구축하고 지역사회 문제해결을 위한 산학협력 프로젝트를 추진하기 시작하였다. 이에 본 연구는 해외의 지역사회 문제해결형 산학협력 사례 분석을 통해 지역 대학으로서의 역할 및 책임을 확대하고 산학협력의 내실화 및 고도화를 강화하기 위한 시사점을 모색하였다. 사례 연구를 바탕으로 필자들은 한국의 대학들에 적합한 지역문제 해결형 산학협력 사업으로 지역주도의 소규모 프로젝트 기반 산학협력 활동을 제안하며, 이를 위해서는 대학, 지방자치단체, 대학생 등 각 이해당사자들의 협력과 역할 제고가 요구됨을 강조한다.

  • Working onboard large ocean-going vessels is one of many industries that is by its very nature extremely errorprovoking. In industries such as aviation, nuclear power, healthcare and transport, the need for mental preparedness and professionalism are amongst the qualities essential for the management of complex hazardous systems. Recruiting, training, and more importantly retaining the right people to work in these industries is of paramount importance if safety is to be continuously improved and economic benefits realized. Through consideration of extant empirical literature this paper will explore the need for enhancing collaboration between shipping companies and maritime training institutes in order to provide the industry with those most capable for the job. It will be concluded that by providing a strong maritime foundation from the outset of training, maritime academies in South Korea can provide shipping companies with a wealth of highly qualified, motivated officers who will contribute to safety and remain valuable assets within the industry for years to come.
