A Study on the Development Direction of Information System in the Ship repair and Shipbuilding Industry in Busan (부산지역 수리조선업 정보시스템 발전 방향에 관한 연구)

  • Despite the rapid expansion and diversification of the global ship repair and shipbuilding market, the domestic ship repair and shipbuilding industry is losing competitiveness due to a lack of infrastructure compared to its high technology level, concentration of new markets, aging technology personnel, lack of IT systems, and small businesses. Although attempts have been made to develop information systems at a very low level compared to other industries, there are few successful cases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand the necessity of strategic integration and organizational integration from the perspective of informatization in the ship repair and shipbuilding industry through a survey of companies operating in Busan. After that, through face-to-face interviews with major repair shipyard companies in Busan, the direction of the development of the information system of the ship repair and shipbuilding industry was derived. The results of this study are expected to enhance the need for digital conversion of the ship repair and shipbuilding industry in the future and provide a significant direction for the establishment and application process of information systems.

A Qualitative Study on Information Quality Recognition of Fashion Designers & Merchandisers : Focused on Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction Factors (패션상품기획자의 정보품질 인식에 대한 질적연구 : 이용정보에 대한 만족/불만족요인을 중심으로)

  • This study was fulfilled in the purpose of proposing construction strategies of fashion information industry through the analysis of information user's satisfaction/dissatisfaction on information quality. The research was performed through a depth interview. Data were collected from 18 fashion information users(designers and merchandisers) who were working at fashion apparel industry during October to November 2007. Results from the study showed that there were three dimensions and 18 components of satisfaction/dissatisfaction on fashion information quality: Information quality(understandability, value-added, level of detail, relevance, diversity, objectivity, completeness, accuracy, quantitativeness), Service quality(responsiveness, accessibility, cost efficiency, empathy, reliability), System quality(currency, ease of use, format, timeliness). And the information users were perceiving that there were some changes in notion of preferring information, searching for information and usage of information.

  • Recently, as the number of Smart Phone users increase, the simple payment system has been able to make payments using only card information such as a registered password without extra authorized certificate authentication or input of card information. In this paper, it will examine and analyze simple payment system provided by IT companies and financial institutions and the simple payment system that operates global online payment system by case view of operational direction. Then with this examination, it will study ways to improve the problems with terms of convenience and stability in terms of users. In this paper, it will analyze the inconvenient problem in using the QR code system that recently introduced and will propose solutions. Also, it will propose suggestions to solve inconvenience that caused by system that supports NFC simple payment terminal in Korea is not universalize by analyze case study on the overseas simple payment system. It will also propose opinions on the matters that customer having responsible for event of a small financial accident related to loss or theft when using the simple payment system. Then it will suggest expected requirements to prepare new security technical countermeasures and solve the conditions of meeting expectation satisfaction of users.

An Evaluative Framework for Business Information Systems (기업 정보 시스템의 평가를 위한 모형)

  • This paper provides a framework for evaluating business information systems. The framework identifies three evaluation domains: IS business value, IS expenses, and IS functionality. Discussions of each category encompass what to be measured, how to measure, and how to judge the measured value. Then, the framework classifies three categories of individual information systems based on IS life cycle: industry-common, industry-similar, and firm-specific. This categorization is used to match the role of an individual system with the focus of evaluation efforts. The framework can contribute to the systematic design of evaluation programs for business information systems.

Research Trends Analysis of Information Security using Text Mining (텍스트마이닝을 이용한 정보보호 연구동향 분석)

  • With the development of IT technology, various services such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles are being introduced, and many changes are taking place in our lives. However, if secure security is not provided, it will cause many risks, so the information security becomes more important. In this paper, we analyzed the research trends of main themes of information security over time. In order to conduct the research, 'Information Security' was searched in the Web of Science database. Using the abstracts of theses published from 1991 to 2016, we derived main research topics through topic modeling and time series regression analysis. The topic modeling results showed that the research topics were Information technology, system access, attack, threat, risk management, network type, security management, security awareness, certification level, information protection organization, security policy, access control, personal information, security investment, computing environment, investment cost, system structure, authentication method, user behavior, encryption. The time series regression results indicated that all the topics were hot topics.

  • In this paper, we design and implement PADIL(Prediction And Detection of Information Leakage) system that predicts and detect information leakage behavior of insider by analyzing network traffic and applying a variety of machine learning methods. we defined the five-level information leakage model(Reconnaissance, Scanning, Access and Escalation, Exfiltration, Obfuscation) by referring to the cyber kill-chain model. In order to perform the machine learning for detecting information leakage, PADIL system extracts various features by analyzing the network traffic and extracts the behavioral features by comparing it with the personal profile information and extracts information leakage level features. We tested various machine learning methods and as a result, the DecisionTree algorithm showed excellent performance in information leakage detection and we showed that performance can be further improved by fine feature selection.

By promoting information which is necessary for industrial society, we can expect that information is able to contribute to base the foundation in maintaining potencialities of growth such as material circulation. man power. Information is also expected to create high values in this industrialized society. This study examines and analizes the actual condition and the problems of Small and Medium Industry in order to accelerate effective promotion of information system. Because we believe that in order to gam highly competitive power of enterprises, optimization of information system of Small and Medium Industry is required.

  • In recent years, the logistics industry has greatly driven the world's economic development. Due to the frequent occurrence of logistics information leakage and forgery, it is necessary to find a solution that can accurately trace the logistics information and ensure the security and authenticity of the logistics information. The birth of blockchain technology has enabled the logistics industry to realize the development from quantitative change to qualitative change. The distributed storage idea, decentralization characteristics, immutable nature, complex encryption algorithm, and other technical characteristics of the blockchain technology make it have a wide range of application prospects in the logistics industry. The purpose of this paper is to apply blockchain technology to the whole chain of logistics information traceability, to indirectly store the corresponding data generated by the logistics circulation link on the blockchain, and to combine the researched consensus algorithm and searchable encryption algorithm to form A set of logistics information traceability system to achieve efficient and accurate traceability of logistics information.

  • In this paper, we propose a management system for positioning and indicating the surveyed control point using RFID and UMPC. This system is composed of digital control point, management system and application. The digital control point transmits information of the surveyed control point and the management system receives the data from the digital control points and manages the scattered digital control points. The system offers three services for managing the surveyed control point. The first service is control point monitoring service for identifying the change of location, locating the missing control point and the second service is control point search service notifying selected control point to user, and the third service is control point land management service for editing the control point information in the land. Therefore, this system makes it easy for administrators to access the control point information of the scattered surveyed control point through the country and enhances the managing efficiency.

  • In recent years, two major streams in medical information systems are:1) system integration among OCS(Order Communication System), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System), and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) and 2) system integration through medical collaboration between East and West medical service providers. One of the characteristics which differentiate the Korean medical industry from the western medical industry is the East-West medical collaboration. In many respects there are many differences between East and West medical treatment. Although East and West medical treatment have developed from different medical philosophies and standards, we assume that the better medical care can be provided by integrating their medical procedures effectively. The two possible approaches to the integration of East and West medical information systems are suggested in this paper:One is loosely coupled model and the other is tightly coupled model. EMR improves the quality of medical record which reflects the quality of clinical practice. It provides more efficient and convenient way of input, retrieval, storage, communication and management of medical data. We abstracted the standard medical procedures from the two medical procedures performed in Daejeon Oriental Hospital and Hehwa Clinic at Daejeon University and also abstracted database schema by analyzing the characteristics of information needed in East-West medical collaboration. Our EMR is composed of two types of data:one is structured data and the other is unstructured data, which are formalized by SOAP(Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) format. Currently the integrated system is implemented and operated successfully for six months.
