This study was conducted to understand the community characteristics of benthic macroinvertebrates according to Growth Environment at 6 Palustrine Wetlands in a rural area. As growth environment factors, size, water depth, water inlet and water outlet, land-use and water environment was analyzed. Two years' quantitative collection of benthic macroinvertebrate was carried out, and it executed community analysis and ESB index calculation and also carried out twinspan, MDS and correlation analysis. As a result, the collected benthic macroinvertebrate was 1254 individuals with 3 Phylums, 6 Classes, 14 Orders, 35 Families, 52 Genera and 61 Species. Odonata and Coenagreionidae had the highest species and individuals. Dominance Index was 0.252~0.698, Diversity Index was 1.661~2.902, Evenness Index was 0.414~0.724, and Species Richness Index was 1.990~6.224. As a result of community analysis, when correlation analysis was executed, Dominance Index had the opposite tendency with Diversity Index and Evenness Index, which had the same tendency with the previous studies. When ESB Index was calculated, Grade 2 (polluted) had the highest species with 48 species (78.7%). It is determined from the Environmental quality evaluation and saprobity evaluation result according to ESB index that there is a need to revise environmental evaluation system more specifically. As a result of MDS analysis, the subject spots A and D had the highest similarity, and the subject spot E and D had a relatively high similarity. The life environment that is the closest related with species diversity is estimated by the land-use. As for number of Individual, it seems to have the closest relation with inlet, which is to be determined as a characteristics of Palustrine Wetland. Through such investigation, this study is expected to be utilized for various types of habitats including ecological pond and to be utilized for the increase of species diversity in rural areas.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to find out whether if there is correlation between the pattern differentiation questionnaire and edema index of body composition analysis. Methods The authors obtained results of pattern differentiation Questionnaires and body composition analysis tests from 195 female patients who visited the Oriental gynecology department in Kyung Hee university Oriental medicine hospital at Gang-dong. The authors conducted correlation analysis between indicators of Body composition analysis and each part of the pattern differentiation Questionnaire. Pearson correlation analysis was performed on SPSS version 13.0 for windows. Results There was negative correlation between the Phlegm Questionnaire and right arm ECF, left arm ECF, and left arm ECW of the Body composition index. There was no correlation between Yin-deficiency Questionnaire and Body composition index. There was no correlation between Heat pattern Questionnaire and Body composition index. There was positive correlation between the Cold pattern Questionnaire and right leg ECF, and right leg ECW of the body composition index. There was no correlation between degree of edema self-awareness and Body composition index. Conclusions The result showed that each Questionnaire score has different correlation or even no correlation with Body composition index and degree of edema self-awareness. Further studies are needed for a better understanding and interpretation of the relationship between edema index on Body composition analysis and Questionnaires.

This paper describes a systematic way of simultaneously identifying the ambient pore pressure and the rigidity index (=G/s$\_$u/) of soil by applying an optimization technique to the piezocone dissipation test result. An ambient pore pressure and optimal rigidity index were determined by minimizing the differences between theoretical excess pore pressures developed by Randolph & Wroth(1979) and measured excess pore pressures from piezocone using optimization technique. The effectiveness of the proposed back-analysis method was examined against the well-documented performance of piezocone dissipation tests (Tanaka & Sakagami, 1989), from the viewpoints of proper determination of selected target parameters and saving of test duration. It is shown that the proposed back-analysis method can evaluate properly the ambient pore pressure and the rigidity index by using only the early phase of the dissipation test data. Also, it is shown that with the optimized rigidity index and ambient pore pressure the proposed back-analysis method permits the horizontal coefficient of consolidation to be identified rationally.
This paper proposes a sound quality index to evaluate the vehicle interior noise. The index was developed using a correlation analysis of an objective measurement and a subjective evaluation data. First, the objective set of measurements was obtained at two specified driving conditions. One is from a wide-open test condition and the other is from a constant-speed test condition. At the same time, subjective evaluation was carried out using a score of ten scale where 17 test engineers participated in the experiment. The correlation analysis between the psycho-acoustic parameters derived from the objective measurement and the subjective evaluation was performed. The most critical factors at both test conditions were determined, and the corresponding equations for the sound quality were obtained from the multiple factor regression method. Finally, a comparative work between previous index and present index was performed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed index.
In this study, uses of remote sensed imagery in urban environment analysis are represented with the actual processed results with newly implemented programs running under ESRI ArcView-GIS to extract secondary information about mainly urban transportation environment. Implemented programs are about Accessibility index and Connectivity index. Accessibility index and Connectivity index are composed of four types of different algorithms and three types of algorithms such as alpha, gamma, and shimmel index. As show applied examples, tried to find out how remotely sensed imageries can be effectively utilized at actual processing in the direct or indirect ways in these algorithms.
In this study, we examined the fractal structure of the Nikkei225, HangSeng, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Straits Times Index of Singapore. Empirical analysis was performed via non-parametric, semi-parametric long memory tests and also fractal dimension calculations. In order to avoid spurious long memory features, besides the Detrended Fluctuations Analysis (DFA), we also used Smith's (2005) modified GPH method. As for fractal dimension calculations, they were conducted via Box-Counting and Variation (p=1) tests. According to the results, while there is no long memory property in log returns of any index, we found evidence for long memory properties in the volatility of the HangSeng, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Straits Times Index. However, we could not find any sign of long memory in the volatility of Nikkei225 index using either the DFA or modified GPH test. Fractal dimension analysis also demonstrated that all raw index prices have fractal structure properties except for the Nikkei225 index. These findings showed that the Nikkei225 index has the most efficient market properties among these markets.

Since human listening is very sensitive to sound, a subjective index of a sound quality is required. Therefore, in the analysis for each situation, the sound evaluation is composed with sound quality factor. Many researchers spends their effort to make a more reliable and more accurate of sound in term of sound quality index for various system noise. In this study a reliable index is constructed and analyzed using correlation analysis, regression analysis and weighting factor for each sound quality factor. We have made the sound quality index that agrees with more than human subjective sensitivity which apply to various sound quality metrics. Also we applied a 'grade' metric to jury for sound evaluation, analyzed relation between sound duality index and sound quality grade. Then we will judge the sound quality level according to the sound quality grade scheme.
