  • 사회 기반 시설을 비롯하여 다양한 도메인에서 하나의 시스템이 아닌 다수의 독립 시스템으로 구성된 시스템 오브 시스템즈(System of Systems, 이하 SoS)의 개념이 대두되고 있다. 단일 시스템으로는 만족하기 어려운 복잡한 요구사항을 SoS 수준에서 보다 효과적으로 만족할 수 있을 것으로 기대되기 때문이다. SoS를 구성하는 독립 시스템을 구성 시스템(Constituent System, 이하 CS)이라 부르며, 다수의 CS와 그들의 상호작용을 고려하여 제한된 자원 안에서 SoS 수준의 목표 달성 여부를 검증하는 것이 SoS 공학의 핵심 문제 중 하나이다. 최근 SoS 개발을 위한 기초 연구는 활발하게 이루어졌으나, SoS 모델링 및 검증에 대한 구체적인 사례 기반 연구는 거의 존재하지 않는다. 본 연구는 SoS와 CS가 자신의 목표를 달성하기 위해 독립적으로 의사결정을 수립한다는 특성에 기반을 두어, 개별 행동의 비용과 이익대비 효용을 기준으로 의사결정을 하는 행동-이익-비용(Action-Benefit-Cost) SoS 모델을 제안하고, SoS 예제의 모델링과 정량적 검증 사례 연구를 수행한다.

국내 골퍼들의 햇빛차단 행동 및 자외선차단 의복에 대한 태도 조사 (A Study on Korean Golfers' Sun Protective Behavior and Their Intention to Buy UV-protective Clothing)

  • The purpose of this study was to find factors affecting sun protective behavior and intention to buy UV-protective clothing among Korean golfers. Health belief (HB) model and diffusion theory(DT) were used for the study. Dependent variable of HB model was sun protective behaviors (SPBs) and dependent variable of DT model was intention to buy (ITB) UV-protective clothing. Independent variables for HB model were cancer perception, perceived benefits, behavioral/psychological barriers and cues to actions, while independent variables of DT model were relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, friability, and observability, besides demographic variables. Perceived benefits and cues to action variables in addition to gender and age were significant determinants of SPB for Korean golfers. Also, relative advantage and compatibility. behavioral barriers and cues to action were significant in affecting intention to buy UV-protective clothes. Both HB model and extended DT model were useful to predict sun protective behavior of Korean golfers.

An Integrated Neural Network Model for Domain Action Determination in Goal-Oriented Dialogues

  • A speaker's intentions can be represented by domain actions (domain-independent speech act and domain-dependent concept sequence pairs). Therefore, it is essential that domain actions be determined when implementing dialogue systems because a dialogue system should determine users' intentions from their utterances and should create counterpart intentions to the users' intentions. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed for classifying a user's domain actions and planning a system's domain actions. An integrated neural network model is proposed for simultaneously determining user and system domain actions using the same framework. The proposed model performed better than previous non-integrated models in an experiment using a goal-oriented dialogue corpus. This result shows that the proposed integration method contributes to improving domain action determination performance.

A concrete plasticity model with elliptic failure surface and independent hardening/softening

  • A plasticity-based concrete model is proposed. The failure surface is elliptic in the ${\sigma}-{\tau}$ stress space. Independent hardening as well as softening is assumed in tension, compression, and shear. The nonlinear inelastic action initiates from the origin in the ${\sigma}-{\varepsilon}$(${\tau}-{\gamma}$) diagram. Several parameters are incorporated to control hardening/softening regions. The model is incorporated into a nonlinear finite element program along with other classical models. Several examples are solved and the results are compared with experimental data and other failure criteria. "Reasonable results" and stable solutions are obtained for different types of reinforced concrete oriented structures.

Human Action Recognition Bases on Local Action Attributes

  • Human action recognition received many interest in the computer vision community. Most of the existing methods focus on either construct robust descriptor from the temporal domain, or computational method to exploit the discriminative power of the descriptor. In this paper we explore the idea of using local action attributes to form an action descriptor, where an action is no longer characterized with the motion changes in the temporal domain but the local semantic description of the action. We propose an novel framework where introduces local action attributes to represent an action for the final human action categorization. The local action attributes are defined for each body part which are independent from the global action. The resulting attribute descriptor is used to jointly model human action to achieve robust performance. In addition, we conduct some study on the impact of using body local and global low-level feature for the aforementioned attributes. Experiments on the KTH dataset and the MV-TJU dataset show that our local action attribute based descriptor improve action recognition performance.

SYNERGISTIC INTERACTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE AND MICROWAVES: PREDICTION AND OPTIMIZATION

  • A simple mathematical model of simultaneous combined action of environmental agents has been proposed to describe the synergistic interaction of microwave and high ambient temperature treatment on animal heating. The model suggests that the synergism is caused by the additional effective damage arising from an interaction of sublesions induced by each agent. These sublesions are considered to be ineffective if each agent is taken individually. The additional damage results in a higher body temperature increment when compared with that expected for an independent action of each agent. The model was adjusted to describe the synergistic interaction, to determine its greatest value and the condition under which it can be achieved. The prediction of the model was shown to be consistent with experimental data on rabbit heating. The model appears to be appropriate and the conclusions are valid.

  • The purpose of the study was to find the sociopsychological factors predicting the intention of compliance with the dietary regimen in diabetes with a questionnaire. Data were collected from 282 adult noninsulin-dependent diabetics in Seoul, Kyoggida, and Kyongsangbukdo in Korea. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted with predictor variables from theories of the Health Belief Model, Social Cognitive Model, The Theory of Reasoned Action , and Social Support. The behavioral intention of compliance with the prescribed diet was the independent variable. Subjects norm self-efficacy knowledge about diet therapy, outcome expectation, relationship with medical team, threat of deterioration of disease, and social support were the independent variables, The mean score of behavior intention was high ie 35.3 out to 42. Subjective norm and self-efficacy were the significant variables to predict the intention of dietary compliance. These variables comprised 39% of the common variance. To increase dietary compliance by influence of the referents and improve self-efficacy significant referents must be included and concrete and practical methods to follow the dietary regimen must be provided in nutrition education.

Theoretical Conception of Synergistic Interactions

  • An increase in the overall biological effect under the combined action of ionizing radiation with another inactivating agent can be explained in two ways. One is the supposition that synergism may attribute to a reduced cellular capacity of damn-ge repair after the combined action. The other is the hypothesis that synergism may be related to an additional lethal or potentially lethal damage that arises from the interaction of sublesions induced by both agents. These sublesions ave considered to be in-effective when each agent is applied separately. Based on this hypothesis, a simple mathematical model was established. The model can predict the greatest value of the synergistic effect, and the dependence of synergy on the intensity of agents applied, as well. This paper deals with the model validation and the peculiarity of simultaneous action of various factors with radiation on biological systems such as bacteriophage, bacterial spores, yeast and mammalian cells. The common rules of the synergism aye as follows. (1) For any constant rate of exposure, the synergy can be observed only within a certain temperature range. The temperature range which synergistically increases the effects of radiation is shifted to the lower temperature fer thermosensitive objects. Inside this range, there is a specific temperature that maximizes the synergistic effect. (2) A decrease in the exposure rate results in a decrease of this specific temperature to achieve the greatest synergy and vice versa. For a constant temperature at which the irradiation occurs, synergy can be observed within a certain dose rate range. Inside this range an optimal intensity of the physical agent may be indicated, which maximizes the synergy. As the exposure temperature reduces, the optimal intensity decreases and vice versa. (3) The recovery rate after combined action is decelerated due to an increased number of irreversible damages. The probability of recovery is independent of the exposure temperature for yeast cells irradiated with ionizing or UV radiation. Chemical inhibitors of cell recovery act through the formation of irreversible damage but not via damaging the recovery process itself.

시간지연제어 기법을 이용한 모형헬리콥터의 정지비행제어기 설계 (A study on the design of a hovering flight controller for a model helicopter using time delay control)

  • A model helicopter is an unstable, multi-input multi-output nonlinear system exposed to strong disturbances and its system parameters change continually. In this paper, Time Delay Control(TDC) is adopted for these reasons. TDC uses past observation of the system's response and the control input to directly modify the control action rather than adjusting the controller gains leading to a model independent robust controller. TDC can force the plant to follow an appropriate reference model, but the reference model cannot be chosen arbitrarily. In this paper the procedure of choosing a reference model and the performance of the controller are presented.

생체의 자극 전도속도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Propogation Velocity of Biological Action Potential)

  • 본 논문에서는 축삭의 전도 현상을 분석하기 위해서 축삭을 전기전도 모델로 만든 후 여기에 키르히호프의 전류법칙과 전압법칙을 적용한 등가회로를 구성하였다. 축삭의 미세거리 변화에 의한 전위의 거동을 분석하기 위하여 축삭의 각종 파라미터를 구하였다. 검토결과에 의하면 무수신경인 경우 직경을 미지수로 하여 인체의 파라미터를 이용하면 그 속도는 직경의 제곱근에 비례한다. 한편 유수신경인 경우는 그 속도가 직경에 직접적으로 비례한다. 미엘린이 없는 막과는 달리 미엘린껍질의 전도는 전압과 무관하므로 이러한 막 양단의 Hodgkin-Huxley 형 전도모델이 매우 정교하지는 않다.
