Cr-free 코팅액에 의한 아연도금강판의 건조시간에 따른 내식특성 (Evaluation of the Corrosion Resistance of Steel Coated with Zinc Using a Cr-free Coating Solution as a Function of Heat Treatment Time)

  • Chromate conversion coating is a coating technique used to passivate aluminum, zinc, cadmium, copper, silver, magnesium, tin, and their alloys to slow corrosion. The process uses various toxic chromium compounds, which may include hexavalent chromium. The industry is developing less toxic alternatives in order to comply with substance restriction legislation, such as RoHS. One alternative is to develop a Cr-free coating solution. In this study, eco-friendly, Cr-free solutions (urethane solution S-700, organic/inorganic solution with Si LRO-317) were used. Test specimens were dried in a drying oven at $190^{\circ}C$ for 3, 5, 7, and 9 minutes. Corrosion resistance was evaluated using a salt spray test for 72 hours. The results show that the optimum corrosion resistance was achieved at $190^{\circ}C$ for five minutes for EGI and three or five minutes for HDGI, respectively. The adhesive properties of the two types of coating solutions were superior regardless of drying time.

Flocculation Effect of Alkaline Electrolyzed Water (AEW) on Harvesting of Marine Microalga Tetraselmis sp.

  • Microalgae hold promise as a renewable energy source for the production of biofuel, as they can convert light energy into chemical energy through photosynthesis. However, cost-efficient harvest of microalgae remains a major challenge to commercial-scale algal biofuel production. We first investigated the potential of electrolytic water as a flocculant for harvesting Tetraselmis sp. Alkaline electrolyzed water (AEW) is produced at the cathode through water electrolysis. It contains mineral ions such as $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$, and $Mg^{2+}$ that can act as flocculants. The flocculation activity with AEW was evaluated via culture density, AEW concentration, medium pH, settling time, and ionic strength analyses. The flocculation efficiency was 88.7% at 20% AEW (pH 8, 10 min) with a biomass concentration of 2 g/l. The initial biomass concentration and medium pH had significant influences on the flocculation activity of AEW. A viability test of flocculated microalgal cells was conducted using Evans blue stain, and the cells appeared intact. Furthermore, the growth rate of Tetraselmis sp. in recycled flocculation medium was similar to the growth rate in fresh F/2 medium. Our results suggested that AEW flocculation could be a very useful and affordable methodology for fresh biomass harvesting with environmentally friendly easy operation in part of the algal biofuel production process.

TiO2 nanotube plate의 질산성질소 전기분해 효율 평가 (The Evaluation of Electrolytic Nitrate Removal Efficiency of TiO2 Nanotube Plate)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기분해 방법을 이용한 질산성질소($NO_3{^-}-N$) 분해가 $TiO_2$ nanotube plate 및 구리, 니켈, 스테인리스 스틸, 알루미늄, 주석, 티타늄을 환원전극으로 사용하였을 때 가능한지를 평가하였다. 전극의 전기화학적 특성 평가는 임피던스 측정을 하여 비교하였고, $TiO_2$ nanotube plate의 표면 분석은 주사전자현미경을 통해 SEM 및 BET 분석법을 이용한 비표면적 분석을 통해 비교하였다. 질산성질소 전해실험의 경우 90분의 실험을 진행하였으며, 실험 결과 전극 표면의 부식이 수반되지 않은 $TiO_2$ nanotube plate가 기타 금속 전극에 비해 질산성질소 환원 반응속도가 가장 뛰어난 것으로 확인되었다.

  • 마그네슘 합금은 낮은 밀도를 가지는 장점을 이용하여 자동차, 항공, 이동전화, 컴퓨터 등에 많이 쓰이고 있으나 기계적 강도가 낮고 내부식성이 좋지 않아 사용이 제한되었다. 마그네슘 합금 표면에 내식성 산화층을 형성하기 위하여 환경 친화적인 전해 플라즈마 산화법(PEO)을 연구에 사용하였다, PEO법은 수용약 중에서 플라즈마를 발생시켜 전기화학적 산화막을 형성시키는 방법이다. 인가전압과 전휴가 산화피마에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다, 또한, 직류와 펄스전류를 사용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 펄스전류를 사용하고 정전류법을 사용한 경우에 치밀한 산화막을 얻을 수 있었다, 부식특성 분석을 위하여 양극산화분극방법을 이용하였다. 표면의 강도는 처리전의 AZ9ID에 비하여 5배 이상 증가하였다.

N'-phenyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosourea 유사체의 전기화학적 거동 및 N-aminourea의 합성 (Electrochemical Behaviors of N'-phenyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosourea Analogous and Synthesis of N-aminourea)

  • 수은 pool 전해조를 사용하여 (5:3) EtOH/4N-HCl 용액계에서 선택적인 -N-N=O기의 전기화학적 환원에 의해 N'-phenyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosourea로부터 N'-phenyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-aminourea를 합성하였다. 전기화학적 환원에 앞서 반응의 최적조건을 검토하기 위하여 몇 가지 N'-aryl-N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-nitrosourea 유사체에 대하여 pH변화에 따른 환원전위를 순환전압전류법으로 조사한 결과 pH에 따라 $E_p$값이 "-"쪽으로 이동하였으며 aryl기의 치환기 효과는 -N-N=O기의 환원 전위에 크게 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 용액계의 pH에 따른 반응성을 조사한 결과 강산성 용액(pH<1)에서 반응이 가장 잘 진행되며 -0.7 V vs. Ag/AgCl/4 N-HCl에서 N-N=O기의 선택적인 4전자 환원반응에 의해 N-N$H_2$가 생성됨을 확인하였다.

  • 고순도의 알루미늄 호일은 전기화학적 에칭을 통해 표면적을 증가시킨 후 전해 커패시터의 양극으로 사용된다. 그러나 산화 피막의 결함 및 에치 피트의 불규칙 생성에 의해 성장된 에치 피트의 분포는 불균일하며 이러한 불균일 형태는 알루미늄 넓은 표면적 분포에도 불구하고 여러 형태의 적용을 어렵게 만든다. 본 연구에서는 알루미늄의 선택적 에칭을 위해 포토리소그래피 방법으로 제작된 패턴 마스크를 사용하여 알루미늄 표면에 균일성을 갖는 보호층을 형성시켰다. 균일한 패턴을 갖는 알루미늄을 용액의 온도 및 전류밀도 등의 조건을 변경하여 실험하였고, 알루미늄 표면에 다양한 크기($2{\sim}5{\mu}m$)의 균일성을 갖는 에치 피트의 형성을 확인할 수 있었다.

최적 고속화염용사코팅 공정기술에 의하여 제조된 WC-CoCr 코팅의 마모 특성 (Wear Property of HVOF WC-CoCr Coating Manufactured by Optimal Coating Process)

  • Thermally sprayed tungsten carbide-based powder coatings are being widely used for a variety of wear resistance applications. The coating deposited by high velocity processes such as high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying is known to provide improved wear resistant property. In this study, optimal coating process (OCP) is obtained by the study of coating properties such as surface hardness, porosity, surface roughness and microstructure of 9 coatings prepared by Taguchi program for 3 levels of four spray parameters. The Friction and wear behaviors of HVOF WC-CoCr coating prepared by OCP, electrolytic hard chrome (EHC) plating and Inconel718 (In718) are investigated by reciprocating sliding wear test at $25^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$. Friction coefficients (FC) of all of the 3 samples are decreased as increasing sliding surface temperature from $25^{\circ}C$ to $450^{\circ}C$. FC of WC-CoCr decreases as increasing the surface temperature from $0.33{\pm}0.02$ at $25^{\circ}C$ to $0.26{\pm}0.02$ at $450^{\circ}C$, showing the lowest FC among the 3 samples. Wear trace (WT) and wear depth (WD) of WC-CoCr are smaller than those of EHC and In718 both at $25^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$. These show that WC-CoCr is highly recommendable for protective coating on In718 and other metal components.

중환자실 간호사의 기초간호과학 지식의 필요성 분석 (A Study of Content Analysis on ICU(Intensive Care Unit) Nurses' Knowledge of Basic Nursing Sciences)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge contents of basic nursing sciences needed by nurses in the practices of the intensive care unit(ICU). To attain the goal of this study, the nurses working at 10 hospitals in the areas of Seoul and Kangwon Province were randomly selected. They were primarily interviewed, and the open question was secondarily put to them through the questionnaire. In the process of the 1st interview, the interviewees were asked of the question, "What is the knowledge of basic sciences such as anatomy, pathology, physiology. microbiology, pharmacology and the like thought to be lacking when you communicate with doctors in the ICU and when you carry out your nursing practices in it?" The contents of the interview were tape-recorded. The period of data collection ranged from May 1, 2001 to Sept 30. The interviews were conducted with total of 20 nurses. The open-end questionnaire was secondarily mailed to nurses. 113 questionnaires were returned. 100 questionnaires except 13 ones thought to be poorly completed in content were used for data analysis. Three coders classified data obtained from the interview and the questionnaire research into 5 detailed items relating to such as anatomical physiology, pathology, pharmacology. microbiology and basics of nursing. The three coders had experiences in nursing education of 18 years, 8 years and 6 years, respectively, and of them one coder was professor in basic nursing sciences. Data were statistically treated using frequency analysis and percentage by the SAS program. As a result, the following findings were obtained : It was found that the contents that ICU nurses responded were most needed in the field of Human structure and function were water and electrolytic balance(38%), blood and circulatory system(20%), changer in the patient's skin(12%), the arrangement of the human body(10%) and the endocrine system(10%), nervous system(6%), and assessment of the state of the patient's consciousness(4%). It was found that the contents that ICU nurses responded were most needed in the field of pathology were found to be the process of the progress of the disease(32%), symptoms of the disease(27%), prognosis of the disease(22%), followed by the injury-healing process, clinical pathological examination, and examination by radiation. It was found that the contents that nurses responded were most needed in the field of pharmacology were the effect of drug(25%), the side effect of drug(22%), the relationship between diseases and drug(20%), the relationship between disease-causing bacteria and drug(20%) and chemotherapy(2%). It was found that the contents that ICU nurses responded were most needed in the field of microbiology were the relationship between diseases and disease-causing bacteria(45%), Kinds and characteristics of disease-causing bacteria(18%), infection control(16%), application of the aseptic technique(12%), isolation(9%) and the like. It was found that the basic knowledge that ICU nurses responded were needed were the identification of the patient's current state(36%), understanding of the therapeutic process(22%), the operating principle of medical equipment and instrument(20%), medical terminology(9%), equipment and instrument management(7%), calculation of the dose of injection(2%) and the like.

전기분해법을 이용한 금정광내 Te 회수 특성 (The Characteristic of Te Recovery in Gold Concentrate Using Electrolysis)

  • 금 정광으로부터 순수한 금속 형태의 Te을 얻기 위하여 소성처리, 차아염소산 용출, Fe 제거 및 전기분해실험을 수행하였다. 정광 및 소성시료에 포함되어 있는 Au, Ag 및 Te는 왕수보다 차아염소산에서 더 많이 용해된 반면에 Pb, Zn, Fe 및 Cu는 차아염소산보다는 왕수에서 더 많이 용출되었다. 전기분해하기 전, 차아염소산 용출-용액에 NaOH를 첨가한 결과 Fe가 정광시료에서 96% 제거되었지만 소성시료에서는 98% 제거되었다. 전기분해실험을 240분 동안 수행한 결과, 금속 구리가 정광시료에서 98% 회수된 반면에 소성시료에서 99%나 회수되었다. 이는 소성처리에 의하여 S가 제거되었기 때문이다. 양극 슬라임도 정광시료보다 소성시료의 전해질 용액에서 더 많이 생성되었다. 양극 슬라임을 자력선별한 결과 순수한 자연금속 형태의 텔루륨이 정광시료보다 소성시료에서 더 많이 회수되었다.

함수(含水) 염화(鹽化)마그네슘의 탈수(脫水) 특성(特性) 고찰(考察) (Dehydration characteristics of Magnesium Chloride Hydrate)

  • 마그네슘 용융염전해의 원료물질로 무수염화마그네슘이 일반적으로 사용된다. 그러나 함수염화마그네슘으로부터 무수염화마그네슘을 제조하기 위한 탈수과정은 가수분해가 동반되어 마그네슘 산화물들이 생성되므로, 공기 중에서 탈수를 통한 무수염화마그네슘 제조는 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 공기중에서와 염화수소 분위기 하에서 탈수 온도($200{\sim}600^{\circ}C$)에 따른 탈수특성을 비교하였다. 공기중에서는 탈수온도가 증가함에 따라 MgOHCl과 MgO가 생성되었지만, 염화수소 분위기하에서는 $300^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 무수염화마그네슘이 생성되었다. 염화수소 분위기에서 무수염화마그네슘은 약 $300^{\circ}C$에서 생성되기 시작하여 $500^{\circ}C$에서 결정화가 완전히 이루어지는 것을 확인하였다. 탈수실험에 사용된 염화수소는 모두 물에 용해시켜 염산으로 회수되었으며, 수용액 온도 $20^{\circ}C$에서 최대 41%의 염산을 회수할 수 있었다.
