This article discusses the teaching of listening and reading skills through enhancing the awareness of pronunciation. First, it examines the problems which take place in listening comprehension, and seeks the ways in which we can teach the skill rather than simply practise it. The approaches proposed are based on micro-listening exercises which practise individual subskills of listening, especially by using the cloze test and tracking. The issue of using authentic materials is then examined for teaching recognition of the features of natural speech. Finally, it is argued that classroom activities need to take account of the true nature of real-life L2 listening.

Subsequently in Korea product liability has been introduced. The position of consumers for defective products have been disadvantageous. Defective products should be broght under the law. Then, while consumers would be largely protected, a producer would take the heavy responsibility by law, Therefore, a producer would not be able to take countermeasures for product liability. Object of this paper to investigate and analyze the actual state of management for product liability in advanced countries, and to join it with our quality management system.

Coloring admixture is used for take color inside and outside of mortar and concrete, differently form pigment and spray paint take color limited surface. In our country, Using the coloring admixture is very slight and regulation is not yet about it. But that is expected the increase with raising the standard of living. Especially it is used to civil structure like dam and seawall for the environment harmony. Then we observe, in this experiment, the effect of coloring admixture on the material properties of color concrete and propose the suitable mix-proportion of color concrete.

Developing a public transportation guidance system requires the following aspects: (i) people may change transportation means not only within the same type but also among different modes such as between buses and subways, and (ii) the system should take into account the time taken in transfer from one mode to the other. This study suggest the framework for developing a public transportation guidance system that generates optimized paths in the transportation network of mixed means including buses, subways and other modes. For this study, the Genetic Algorithms are used to find the best routes that take into account transfer time and other servicetime constraints.

In this research, 51% attack or majority attack is becoming an important security issue for proof of work based blockchains. Due to decentralized nature of blockchains, any attacks that shutdowns the network or which take control over the network is hard to prevent and assess. In this paper, different types of majority attack are summarized and the motivations behind the attacks are explained. To show the feasibility of the majority attack, we build an example mining machines that can take control over two of the public blockchains, Vertcoin and Monero.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the techniques used by long jumpers who recorded over 8meters in 2002 Busan Asian Game and 2003 Daegu Universiade. The kinematic characteristics from the last three stride to takeoff at the takeoff board were analyzed such as velocities, heights and angles. The real-life three-dimensional coordinates of 20 body landmarks during each trial were collected using a Direct Linear Transformation procedure. The conclusion were as follows; 1. The height variation who recorded over 8 meters of center of gravity of the jumpers at the last stride was under 8cm. In order to record over 8meters the national long jumpers should have under 10cm height variation. 2. In the approach phase the horizontal velocity of the jumpers should reach to 10.5m/s in last three strides and 9.79m/s in touch down at take off board. 3. The horizontal velocity at take off board must have over 8.51m/s and the vertical velocity must have 3.75m/s simultaneously in order to record 8meters. 4. The forward body lean angle should have over 20degrees with pushing the take off board in forwarding movement. The appropriate body variation range ratio between take off and touch down should be 1.2 vs 1 and the trunk angle at touch down on the board should be close to the erect posture for higher body flight.

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is an aggressive, treatment-resistant, and generally fatal disease. A 68-year-old male who was diagnosed with MPM at another hospital came to our hospital with dyspnea. We advised him to take combination chemotherapy but he refused to take the treatment. That was because he had already received chemotherapy with supportive care at another hospital but his condition worsened. Thus, we recommended photodynamic therapy (PDT) to deal with the dyspnea and MPM. After PDT, the dyspnea improved and the patient then decided to take the combination chemotherapy. Our patient received chemotherapy using pemetrexed/cisplatin. Afterwards, he received a single PDT treatment and then later took chemotherapy using gemcitabine/cisplatin. The patient showed a survival time of 27 months, which is longer than median survival time in advanced MPM patients. Further research and clinical trials are needed to demonstrate any synergistic effect between the combination chemotherapy and PDT.

The objectives of this study were to develop, implement a home economics education teaching-learning plan and assess its effects to enhance global citizenship competencies among upper elementary school students. The ADDIE model was employed for learner needs analysis, instructional design, development and implementation. This was followed by assessments of global citizenship competencies and class satisfaction. Based on an analysis of the core ideas associated with an area of "Living Environment and Sustainable Choice," four practical problems were designed: What actions should I take for the rational management of living resources? What actions should I take to ensure consciousness of the need to respect diversity in daily life? What actions should I take to maintain a safe and healthy living environment? What actions should I take to make sustainable choices? Based on these four practical problems, four lesson topics were developed in accordance with both the voyeur's and the critical perspectives, resulting in a total of 8 sessions. The subsequent delivery of an 8-session class on global citizenship education in home economics yielded significant improvements in the global citizenship competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes, and willingness to act) of 37 elementary school students immediately after the sessions. The significance of this study lies in its focus on the core ideas of the revised 2022 curriculum, thereby offering directions for the development of global citizenship education within the curriculum.

The full results of troubleshooting process related to the flight control system of a tilt-rotor type UAV in the flight tests are described. Flight tests were conducted in helicopter, conversion, and airplane modes. The vehicle was flown using automatic functions, which include speed-hold, altitude-hold, heading-hold, guidance modes, as well as automatic take-off and landing. Many unexpected problems occurred during the envelope expansion tests which were mostly under those automatic functions. The anomalies in helicopter mode include vortex ring state (VRS), long delay in the automatic take-off, and the initial overshoot in the automatic landing. In contrast, the anomalies in conversion mode are untrimmed AOS oscillation and the calibration errors of the air data sensors. The problems of low damping in rotor speed and roll rate responses are found in airplane mode. Once all of the known problems had been solved, the vehicle in airplane mode gradually reached the maximum design speed of 440km/h at the operation altitude of 3km. This paper also presents a comprehensive detailing of the control systems of the tilt-rotor unmanned air vehicle (UAV).

This study was conducted to identify the attitude of ethical dilemmas in hospital nurses. Ethical dilemmas were categorized into four areas : human life area, clients area, nursing practice area, and nurses-co-worker area. 354 nurses working in clinical settings were selected in Seoul and Kangwon area. Data were gathered from 26, June to 10, July, 1994 by structured guestionnaires. Descriptive statistics were employed to analyze the data. The results obtained from data were as follows : 1) In human life area mean score was 3.03. This area showed remarkabale individual differences between utilitarian and deontological position. 2) In clients area mean score was 3.94. It means that nurses tend to take a deontological position. 3) In nursing practice area mean score was 3.41. It means that nurses tend to take a slightly deontological position. 4) In nurses-co-worker area mean score was 3.88. It means that nurses tend to take a deontological position. To conclude, clinents area, nursing practice area, and nurses-co-worker area taken deontological position. Most nurse's primary concern was the 'welfare of the patients' which is to fundamental ethical professional practice. But nurses experienced more ethical dilemmas in human life area than others. Therefore, nurses should be prepared to make in-dependent decision that based on bio-ethics and professional ethics.
